王用严厉的话回答百姓，不用老年人给他所出的主意，
wáng yòng yán lì de huà huí dá bǎi xìng ， bú yòng lǎo nián rén gěi tā suǒ chū de zhǔ yi ，
The king answered the people roughly, and abandoned the counsel of the old men which they had given him,
