nà shí , yǒu yí gè shén rén fèng yē hé huá de mìng cóng yóu dà lái dào bó tè lì 。 yē luó bō ān zhèng zhàn zài tán páng yào shāo xiāng ;

Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the LORD’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

:「西。」

shén rén fèng yē hé huá de mìng xiàng tán hū jiào , shuō :「 tán nǎ , tán nǎ ! yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō : dà wèi jiā lǐ bì shēng yí gè ér zi , míng jiào yuē xī yà , tā bì jiāng qiū tán de jì sī , jiù shì zài nǐ shàng miàn shāo xiāng de , shā zài nǐ shàng miàn , rén de gǔ tou yě bì shāo zài nǐ shàng miàn 。」

He cried against the altar by the LORD’s word, and said, “Altar! Altar! The LORD says: ‘Behold, a son will be born to David’s house, Josiah by name. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn men’s bones on you.’”

:「。」

dāng rì , shén rén shè gè yù zhào , shuō :「 zhè tán bì pò liè , tán shàng de huī bì qīng sā , zhè shì yē hé huá shuō de yù zhào 。」

He gave a sign the same day, saying, “This is the sign which the LORD has spoken: Behold, the altar will be split apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out.”

:「!」

yē luó bō ān wáng tīng jiàn shén rén xiàng bó tè lì de tán suǒ hū jiào de huà , jiù cóng tán shàng shēn shǒu , shuō :「 ná zhù tā ba !」 wáng xiàng shén rén suǒ shēn de shǒu jiù kū gān le , bù néng wān huí ;

When the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam put out his hand from the altar, saying, “Seize him!” His hand, which he put out against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back again to himself.

tán yě pò liè le , tán shàng de huī qīng sā le , zhèng rú shén rén fèng yē hé huá de mìng suǒ shè de yù zhào 。

The altar was also split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the LORD’s word.

:「 使。」

wáng duì shén rén shuō :「 qǐng nǐ wèi wǒ dǎo gào , qiú yē hé huá — nǐ shén de ēn diǎn shǐ wǒ de shǒu fù yuán 。」 yú shì shén rén qí dǎo yē hé huá , wáng de shǒu jiù fù le yuán , réng rú xún cháng yí yàng 。

The king answered the man of God, “Now intercede for the favor of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again.” The man of God interceded with the LORD, and the king’s hand was restored to him again, and became as it was before.

:「。」

wáng duì shén rén shuō :「 qǐng nǐ tóng wǒ huí qù chī fàn , jiā tiān xīn lì , wǒ yě bì gěi nǐ shǎng cì 。」

The king said to the man of God, “Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward.”

:「

shén rén duì wáng shuō :「 nǐ jiù shì bǎ nǐ de gōng yí bàn gěi wǒ , wǒ yě bù tóng nǐ jìn qù , yě bú zài zhè dì fāng chī fàn hē shuǐ ;

The man of God said to the king, “Even if you gave me half of your house, I would not go in with you, neither would I eat bread nor drink water in this place;

。」

yīn wèi yǒu yē hé huá de huà zhǔ fù wǒ , shuō bù kě zài bó tè lì chī fàn hē shuǐ , yě bù kě cóng nǐ qù de yuán lù huí lái 。」

for so was it commanded me by the LORD’s word, saying, ‘You shall eat no bread, drink no water, and don’t return by the way that you came.’”

yú shì shén rén cóng bié de lù huí qù , bù cóng bó tè lì lái de yuán lù huí qù 。

So he went another way, and didn’t return by the way that he came to Bethel.

yǒu yí gè lǎo xiān zhī zhù zài bó tè lì , tā ér zi men lái , jiāng shén rén dāng rì zài bó tè lì suǒ xíng de yí qiè shì hé xiàng wáng suǒ shuō de huà dōu gào sù le fù qīn 。

Now an old prophet lived in Bethel, and one of his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel. They also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king.

:「?」

fù qīn wèn tā men shuō :「 shén rén cóng nǎ tiáo lù qù le ne ?」 ér zi men jiù gào sù tā ; yuán lái tā men kàn jiàn nà cóng yóu dà lái de shén rén suǒ qù de lù 。

Their father said to them, “Which way did he go?” Now his sons had seen which way the man of God went, who came from Judah.

:「。」

lǎo xiān zhī jiù fēn fù tā ér zǐ men shuō :「 nǐ men wèi wǒ bèi lǘ 。」 tā men bèi hǎo le lǘ , tā jiù qí shàng ,

He said to his sons, “Saddle the donkey for me.” So they saddled the donkey for him; and he rode on it.

:「?」:「。」

qù zhuī gǎn shén rén , yù jiàn tā zuò zài xiàng shù dǐ xià , jiù wèn tā shuō :「 nǐ shì cóng yóu dà lái de shén rén bú shì ?」 tā shuō :「 shì 。」

He went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. He said to him, “Are you the man of God who came from Judah?” He said, “I am.”

:「。」

lǎo xiān zhī duì tā shuō :「 qǐng nǐ tóng wǒ huí jiā chī fàn 。」

Then he said to him, “Come home with me and eat bread.”

:「

shén rén shuō :「 wǒ bù kě tóng nǐ huí qù jìn nǐ de jiā , yě bù kě zài zhè lǐ tóng nǐ chī fàn hē shuǐ ;

He said, “I may not return with you, nor go in with you. I will not eat bread or drink water with you in this place.

:『。』」

yīn wèi yǒu yē hé huá de huà zhǔ fù wǒ shuō :『 nǐ zài nà lǐ bù kě chī fàn hē shuǐ , yě bù kě cóng nǐ qù de yuán lù huí lái 。』」

For it was said to me by the LORD’s word, ‘You shall eat no bread or drink water there, and don’t turn again to go by the way that you came.’”

:「使:『。』」

lǎo xiān zhī duì tā shuō :「 wǒ yě shì xiān zhī , hé nǐ yí yàng 。 yǒu tiān shǐ fèng yē hé huá de mìng duì wǒ shuō :『 nǐ qù bǎ tā dài huí nǐ de jiā , jiào tā chī fàn hē shuǐ 。』」 zhè dōu shì lǎo xiān zhī kuāng hǒng tā 。

He said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the LORD’s word, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” He lied to him.

yú shì shén rén tóng lǎo xiān zhī huí qù , zài tā jiā lǐ chī fàn hē shuǐ 。

So he went back with him, ate bread in his house, and drank water.

èr rén zuò xí de shí hòu , yē hé huá de huà lín dào nà dài shén rén huí lái de xiān zhī ,

As they sat at the table, the LORD’s word came to the prophet who brought him back;

:「

tā jiù duì nà cóng yóu dà lái de shén rén shuō :「 yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō : nǐ jì wéi bèi yē hé huá de huà , bù zūn shǒu yē hé huá — nǐ shén de mìng lìng ,

and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, “The LORD says, ‘Because you have been disobedient to the LORD’s word, and have not kept the commandment which the LORD your God commanded you,

。」

fǎn dǎo huí lái , zài yē hé huá jìn zhǐ nǐ chī fàn hē shuǐ de dì fāng chī le hē le , yīn cǐ nǐ de shī shēn bù dé rù nǐ liè zǔ de fén mù 。」

but came back, and have eaten bread and drank water in the place of which he said to you, “Eat no bread, and drink no water,” your body will not come to the tomb of your fathers.’”

chī hē wán le , lǎo xiān zhī wèi suǒ dài huí lái de xiān zhī bèi lǘ 。

After he had eaten bread and after he drank, he saddled the donkey for the prophet whom he had brought back.

tā jiù qù le , zài lù shang yǒu gè shī zi yù jiàn tā , jiāng tā yǎo sǐ , shī shēn dǎo zài lù shang , lǘ zhàn zài shī shēn páng biān , shī zi yě zhàn zài shī shēn páng biān 。

When he had gone, a lion met him by the way and killed him. His body was thrown on the path, and the donkey stood by it. The lion also stood by the body.

yǒu rén cóng nà lǐ jīng guò , kàn jiàn shī shēn dǎo zài lù shang , shī zǐ zhàn zài shī shēn páng biān , jiù lái dào lǎo xiān zhī suǒ zhù de chéng lǐ shù shuō zhè shì 。

Behold, men passed by and saw the body thrown on the path, and the lion standing by the body; and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet lived.

:「。」

nà dài shén rén huí lái de xiān zhī tīng jiàn zhè shì , jiù shuō :「 zhè shì nà wéi bèi le yē hé huá mìng lìng de shén rén , suǒ yǐ yē hé huá bǎ tā jiāo gěi shī zǐ ; shī zi zhuā shāng tā , yǎo sǐ tā , shì yìng yàn yē hé huá duì tā shuō de huà 。」

When the prophet who brought him back from the way heard of it, he said, “It is the man of God who was disobedient to the LORD’s word. Therefore the LORD has delivered him to the lion, which has mauled him and slain him, according to the LORD’s word which he spoke to him.”

:「。」

lǎo xiān zhī jiù fēn fù tā ér zi men shuō :「 nǐ men wèi wǒ bèi lǘ 。」 tā men jiù bèi le lǘ 。

He said to his sons, saying, “Saddle the donkey for me,” and they saddled it.

tā qù le , kàn jiàn shén rén de shī shēn dǎo zài lù shang , lǘ hé shī zi zhàn zài shī shēn páng biān , shī zi què méi yǒu chī shī shēn , yě méi yǒu zhuā shāng lǘ 。

He went and found his body thrown on the path, and the donkey and the lion standing by the body. The lion had not eaten the body nor mauled the donkey.

lǎo xiān zhī jiù bǎ shén rén de shī shēn tuó zài lǘ shàng , dài huí zì jǐ de chéng lǐ , yào āi kū tā , zàng mái tā ;

The prophet took up the body of the man of God, and laid it on the donkey, and brought it back. He came to the city of the old prophet to mourn, and to bury him.

:「。」

jiù bǎ tā de shī shēn zàng zài zì jǐ de fén mù lǐ , āi kū tā , shuō :「 āi zāi ! wǒ xiōng a 。」

He laid his body in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, “Alas, my brother!”

:「使

ān zàng zhī hòu , lǎo xiān zhī duì tā ér zi men shuō :「 wǒ sǐ le , nǐ men yào zàng wǒ zài shén rén de fén mù lǐ , shǐ wǒ de shī gǔ kào jìn tā de shī gǔ ,

After he had buried him, he spoke to his sons, saying, “When I am dead, bury me in the tomb in which the man of God is buried. Lay my bones beside his bones.

殿。」

yīn wèi tā fèng yē hé huá de mìng zhǐ zhe bó tè lì de tán hé sā mǎ lì yà gè chéng yǒu qiū tán zhī diàn suǒ shuō de huà bì dìng yìng yàn 。」

For the saying which he cried by the LORD’s word against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, will surely happen.”

zhè shì yǐ hòu , yē luó bō ān réng bù lí kāi tā de è dào , jiāng fán mín lì wèi qiū tán de jì sī ; fán yuàn yì de , tā dōu fēn bié wèi shèng , lì wèi qiū tán de jì sī 。

After this thing, Jeroboam didn’t turn from his evil way, but again made priests of the high places from among all the people. Whoever wanted to, he consecrated him, that there might be priests of the high places.

zhè shì jiào yē luó bō ān de jiā xiàn zài zuì lǐ , shèn zhì tā de jiā cóng dì shàng chú miè le 。

This thing became sin to the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off and to destroy it from off the surface of the earth.
