fán zài è xià zuò pú rén de , dāng yǐ zì jǐ zhǔ rén pèi shòu shí fēn de gōng jìng , miǎn de shén de míng hé dào lǐ bèi rén xiè dú 。

Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.

pú rén yǒu xìn dào de zhǔ rén , bù kě yīn wèi yǔ tā shì dì xiong jiù qīng kàn tā ; gèng yào jiā yì fú shì tā ; yīn wèi dé fú shì zhī yì chù de , shì xìn dào méng ài de 。 jiǎ dào lǐ hé zhēn cái fù nǐ yào yǐ cǐ jiào xùn rén , quàn miǎn rén 。

Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

ruò yǒu rén chuán yì jiào , bù fú cóng wǒ men zhǔ yē sū jī dū chún zhèng de huà yǔ nà hé hū jìng qián de dào lǐ ,

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,

tā shì zì gāo zì dà , yì wú suǒ zhī , zhuān hǎo wèn nán , zhēng biàn yán cí , cóng cǐ jiù shēng chū jí dù 、 fēn zhēng 、 huǐ bàng 、 wàng yí ,

he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,

bìng nà huài le xīn shù 、 shī sàng zhēn lǐ zhī rén de zhēng jìng 。 tā men yǐ jìng qián wèi dé lì de mén lù 。

constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.

便

rán ér , jìng qián jiā shàng zhī zú de xīn biàn shì dà lì le ;

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

yīn wèi wǒ men méi yǒu dài shén me dào shì shàng lái , yě bù néng dài shén me qù 。

For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out.

zhǐ yào yǒu yī yǒu shí , jiù dāng zhī zú 。

But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.

dàn nà xiē xiǎng yào fā cái de rén , jiù xiàn zài mí huò 、 luò zài wǎng luó hé xǔ duō wú zhī yǒu hài de sī yù lǐ , jiào rén chén zài bài huài hé miè wáng zhōng 。

But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.

tān cái shì wàn è zhī gēn 。 yǒu rén tān liàn qián cái , jiù bèi yǐn yòu lí le zhēn dào , yòng xǔ duō chóu kǔ bǎ zì jǐ cì tòu le 。

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

dàn nǐ zhè shǔ shén de rén yào táo bì zhè xiē shì , zhuī qiú gōng yì 、 jìng qián 、 xìn xīn 、 ài xīn 、 rěn nài 、 wēn róu 。

But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

nǐ yào wèi zhēn dào dǎ nà měi hǎo de zhàng , chí dìng yǒng shēng 。 nǐ wèi cǐ bèi zhào , yě zài xǔ duō jiàn zhèng rén miàn qián , yǐ jīng zuò le nà měi hǎo de jiàn zhèng 。

Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

·

wǒ zài jiào wàn wù shēng huó de shén miàn qián , bìng zài xiàng běn diū · bǐ lā duō zuò guò nà měi hǎo jiàn zhèng de jī dū yē sū miàn qián zhǔ fù nǐ :

I command you before God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,

yào shǒu zhè mìng lìng , háo bú diàn wū , wú kě zhǐ zé , zhí dào wǒ men de zhǔ yē sū jī dū xiǎn xiàn 。

that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

dào le rì qī , nà kě chēng sòng 、 dú yǒu quán néng de wàn wáng zhī wáng 、 wàn zhǔ zhī zhǔ ,

which at the right time he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

jiù shì nà dú yí bù sǐ 、 zhù zài rén bù néng kào jìn de guāng lǐ , shì rén wèi céng kàn jiàn 、 yě shì bù néng kàn jiàn de , yào jiāng tā xiǎn míng chū lái 。 dàn yuàn zūn guì hé yǒng yuǎn de quán néng dōu guī gěi tā 。 ā men !

He alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.

nǐ yào zhǔ fù nà xiē jīn shì fù zú de rén , bú yào zì gāo , yě bú yào yǐ kào wú dìng de qián cái ; zhǐ yào yǐ kào nà hòu cì bǎi wù gěi wǒ men xiǎng shòu de shén 。

Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

yòu yào zhǔ fù tā men xíng shàn , zài hǎo shì shàng fù zú , gān xīn shī shě , lè yì gōng jǐ rén ,

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share;

wèi zì jǐ jī chéng měi hǎo de gēn jī , yù bèi jiāng lái , jiào tā men chí dìng nà zhēn zhèng de shēng mìng 。

laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.

tí mó tài a , nǐ yào bǎo shǒu suǒ tuō fù nǐ de , duǒ bì shì sú de xū tán hé nà dí zhēn dào 、 sì shì ér fēi de xué wèn 。

Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge,

yǐ jīng yǒu rén zì chēng yǒu zhè xué wèn , jiù piān lí le zhēn dào 。 yuàn ēn huì cháng yǔ nǐ men tóng zài !

which some profess, and thus have wandered from the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.
