fèng shén zhǐ yì zuò jī dū yē sū shǐ tú de bǎo luó hé xiōng dì tí mó tài , xiě xìn gěi zài gē lín duō shén de jiào huì , bìng yà gāi yà biàn chù de zhòng shèng tú 。

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the assembly of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:

yuàn ēn huì 、 píng ān cóng shén wǒ men de fù hé zhǔ yē sū jī dū guī yǔ nǐ men !

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

yuàn sòng zàn guī yǔ wǒ men de zhǔ yē sū jī dū de fù shén , jiù shì fā cí bēi de fù , cì gè yàng ān wèi de shén 。

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

wǒ men zài yí qiè huàn nàn zhōng , tā jiù ān wèi wǒ men , jiào wǒ men néng yòng shén suǒ cì de ān wèi qù ān wèi nà zāo gè yàng huàn nàn de rén 。

who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

wǒ men jì duō shòu jī dū de kǔ chǔ , jiù kào jī dū duō dé ān wèi 。

For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.

wǒ men shòu huàn nàn ne , shì wèi jiào nǐ men dé ān wèi , dé zhěng jiù ; wǒ men dé ān wèi ne , yě shì wèi jiào nǐ men dé ān wèi ; zhè ān wèi néng jiào nǐ men rěn shòu wǒ men suǒ shòu de nà yàng kǔ chǔ 。

But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.

wǒ men wèi nǐ men suǒ cún de pàn wàng shì què dìng de , yīn wèi zhī dào nǐ men jì shì tóng shòu kǔ chǔ , yě bì tóng dé ān wèi 。

Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the comfort.

dì xiōng men , wǒ men bú yào nǐ men bù xiǎo de , wǒ men cóng qián zài yà xì yà zāo yù kǔ nán , bèi yā tài zhòng , lì bù néng shèng , shèn zhì lián huó mìng de zhǐ wàng dōu jué le ;

For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.

zì jǐ xīn lǐ yě duàn dìng shì bì sǐ de , jiào wǒ men bú kào zì jǐ , zhī kào jiào sǐ rén fù huó de shén 。

Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,

tā céng jiù wǒ men tuō lí nà jí dà de sǐ wáng , xiàn zài réng yào jiù wǒ men , bìng qiě wǒ men zhǐ wàng tā jiāng lái hái yào jiù wǒ men 。

who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver, on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us,

nǐ men yǐ qí dǎo bāng zhù wǒ men , hǎo jiào xǔ duō rén wéi wǒ men xiè ēn , jiù shì wèi wǒ men yīn xǔ duō rén suǒ dé de ēn 。

you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift given to us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.

wǒ men suǒ kuā de shì zì jǐ de liáng xīn , jiàn zhèng wǒ men píng zhe shén de shèng jié hé chéng shí ; zài shì wèi rén bú kào rén de cōng ming , nǎi kào shén de ēn huì , xiàng nǐ men gèng shì zhè yàng 。

For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

wǒ men xiàn zài xiě gěi nǐ men de huà , bìng bú wài hū nǐ men suǒ niàn de 、 suǒ rèn shi de , wǒ yě pàn wàng nǐ men dào dǐ hái shì yào rèn shi ;

For we write no other things to you than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end—

zhèng rú nǐ men yǐ jīng yǒu jǐ fēn rèn shi wǒ men , yǐ wǒ men kuā kǒu , hǎo xiàng wǒ men zài wǒ men zhǔ yē sū de rì zi yǐ nǐ men kuā kǒu yí yàng 。

as also you acknowledged us in part—that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

wǒ jì rán zhè yàng shēn xìn , jiù zǎo yǒu yì dào nǐ men nà lǐ qù , jiào nǐ men zài dé yì chù ;

In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit,

yě yào cóng nǐ men nà lǐ jīng guò , wǎng mǎ qí dùn qù , zài cóng mǎ qí dùn huí dào nǐ men nà lǐ , jiào nǐ men gěi wǒ sòng xíng wǎng yóu tài qù 。

and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Judea.

wǒ yǒu cǐ yì , qǐ shì fǎn fù bú dìng ma ? wǒ suǒ qǐ de yì , qǐ shì cóng qíng yù qǐ de , jiào wǒ hū shì hū fēi ma ?

When I therefore planned this, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”

wǒ zhǐ zhe xìn shí de shén shuō , wǒ men xiàng nǐ men suǒ chuán de dào , bìng méi yǒu shì ér yòu fēi de 。

But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “Yes and no.”

yīn wèi wǒ hé xī lā bìng tí mó tài , zài nǐ men zhōng jiān suǒ chuán shén de ér zi yē sū jī dū , zǒng méi yǒu shì ér yòu fēi de , zài tā zhǐ yǒu yī shì 。

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.”

shén de yīng xǔ , bú lùn yǒu duō shǎo , zài jī dū dōu shì shì de 。 suǒ yǐ jiè zhe tā yě dōu shì shí zài de , jiào shén yīn wǒ men dé róng yào 。

For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.

nà zài jī dū lǐ jiān gù wǒ men hé nǐ men , bìng qiě gāo wǒ men de jiù shì shén 。

Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,

tā yòu yòng yìn yìn le wǒ men , bìng cì shèng líng zài wǒ men xīn lǐ zuò píng jù 。

who also sealed us and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.

wǒ hū yù shén gěi wǒ de xīn zuò jiàn zhèng , wǒ méi yǒu wǎng gē lín duō qù shì wèi yào kuān róng nǐ men 。

But I call God for a witness to my soul, that to spare you, I didn’t come to Corinth.

wǒ men bìng bú shì xiá guǎn nǐ men de xìn xīn , nǎi shì bāng zhù nǐ men de kuài lè , yīn wèi nǐ men píng xìn cái zhàn lì dé zhù 。
