Deuteronomy 25

「人若有争讼，来听审判，审判官就要定义人有理，定恶人有罪。

「 rén ruò yǒu zhēng sòng ， lái tīng shěn pàn ， shěn pàn guān jiù yào dìng yì rén yǒu lǐ ， dìng è rén yǒu zuì 。

If there is a controversy between men, and they come to judgment and the judges judge them, then they shall justify the righteous and condemn the wicked.

恶人若该受责打，审判官就要叫他当面伏在地上，按着他的罪照数责打。

è rén ruò gāi shòu zé dǎ ， shěn pàn guān jiù yào jiào tā dāng miàn fú zài dì shàng ， àn zhe tā de zuì zhào shù zé dǎ 。

It shall be, if the wicked man is worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down and to be beaten before his face, according to his wickedness, by number.

只可打他四十下，不可过数；若过数，便是轻贱你的弟兄了。

zhī kě dǎ tā sì shí xià ， bù kě guò shù ； ruò guò shù ， biàn shì qīng jiàn nǐ de dì xiong le 。

He may sentence him to no more than forty stripes. He shall not give more, lest if he should give more and beat him more than that many stripes, then your brother will be degraded in your sight.

「牛在场上踹谷的时候，不可笼住它的嘴。」

「 niú zài chǎng shàng chuài gǔ de shí hòu ， bù kě lóng zhù tā de zuǐ 。」

You shall not muzzle the ox when he treads out the grain.

「弟兄同居，若死了一个，没有儿子，死人的妻不可出嫁外人，她丈夫的兄弟当尽弟兄的本分，娶她为妻，与她同房。

「 dì xiong tóng jū ， ruò sǐ le yí gè ， méi yǒu ér zi ， sǐ rén de qī bù kě chū jià wài rén ， tā zhàng fu de xiōng dì dāng jìn dì xiong de běn fèn ， qǔ tā wèi qī ， yǔ tā tóng fáng 。

If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead shall not be married outside to a stranger. Her husband’s brother shall go in to her, and take her as his wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her.

妇人生的长子必归死兄的名下，免得他的名在以色列中涂抹了。

fù rén shēng de zhǎng zǐ bì guī sǐ xiōng de míng xià ， miǎn de tā de míng zài yǐ sè liè zhōng tú mǒ le 。

It shall be that the firstborn whom she bears shall succeed in the name of his brother who is dead, that his name not be blotted out of Israel.

那人若不愿意娶她哥哥的妻，他哥哥的妻就要到城门长老那里，说：『我丈夫的兄弟不肯在以色列中兴起他哥哥的名字，不给我尽弟兄的本分。』

nà rén ruò bú yuàn yì qǔ tā gē gē de qī ， tā gē ge de qī jiù yào dào chéng mén zhǎng lǎo nà lǐ ， shuō ：『 wǒ zhàng fu de xiōng dì bù kěn zài yǐ sè liè zhōng xīng qǐ tā gē ge de míng zì ， bù gěi wǒ jìn dì xiong de běn fèn 。』

If the man doesn’t want to take his brother’s wife, then his brother’s wife shall go up to the gate to the elders, and say, “My husband’s brother refuses to raise up to his brother a name in Israel. He will not perform the duty of a husband’s brother to me.”

本城的长老就要召那人来问他，他若执意说：『我不愿意娶她』，

běn chéng de cháng lǎo jiù yào zhào nà rén lái wèn tā ， tā ruò zhí yì shuō ：『 wǒ bú yuàn yì qǔ tā 』，

Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak to him. If he stands and says, “I don’t want to take her,”

他哥哥的妻就要当着长老到那人的跟前，脱了他的鞋，吐唾沫在他脸上，说：『凡不为哥哥建立家室的都要这样待他。』

tā gē ge de qī jiù yào dāng zhe zhǎng lǎo dào nà rén de gēn qián ， tuō le tā de xié ， tǔ tuò mò zài tā liǎn shàng ， shuō ：『 fán bú wèi gē ge jiàn lì jiā shì de dōu yào zhè yàng dài tā 。』

then his brother’s wife shall come to him in the presence of the elders, and loose his sandal from off his foot, and spit in his face. She shall answer and say, “So shall it be done to the man who does not build up his brother’s house.”

在以色列中，他的名必称为脱鞋之家。」

zài yǐ sè liè zhōng ， tā de míng bì chēng wéi tuō xié zhī jiā 。」

His name shall be called in Israel, “The house of him who had his sandal removed.”

「若有二人争斗，这人的妻近前来，要救她丈夫脱离那打她丈夫之人的手，抓住那人的下体，

「 ruò yǒu èr rén zhēng dòu ， zhè rén de qī jìn qián lái ， yào jiù tā zhàng fu tuō lí nà dǎ tā zhàng fu zhī rén de shǒu ， zhuā zhù nà rén de xià tǐ ，

When men strive against each other, and the wife of one draws near to deliver her husband out of the hand of him who strikes him, and puts out her hand, and grabs him by his private parts,

就要砍断妇人的手，眼不可顾惜她。

jiù yào kǎn duàn fù rén de shǒu ， yǎn bù kě gù xī tā 。

then you shall cut off her hand. Your eye shall have no pity.

「你囊中不可有一大一小两样的法码。

「 nǐ náng zhōng bù kě yǒu yí dà yì xiǎo liǎng yàng de fǎ mǎ 。

You shall not have in your bag diverse weights, one heavy and one light.

你家里不可有一大一小两样的升斗。

nǐ jiā lǐ bù kě yǒu yí dà yì xiǎo liǎng yàng de shēng dòu 。

You shall not have in your house diverse measures, one large and one small.

当用对准公平的法码，公平的升斗。这样，在耶和华—你 神所赐你的地上，你的日子就可以长久。

dāng yòng duì zhǔn gōng píng de fǎ mǎ ， gōng píng de shēng dòu 。 zhè yàng ， zài yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ cì nǐ de dì shàng ， nǐ de rì zi jiù kě yǐ cháng jiǔ 。

You shall have a perfect and just weight. You shall have a perfect and just measure, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

因为行非义之事的人都是耶和华—你 神所憎恶的。」

yīn wèi xíng fēi yì zhī shì de rén dōu shì yē hé huá — nǐ shén suǒ zēng wù de 。」

For all who do such things, all who do unrighteously, are an abomination to the LORD your God.

「你要记念你们出埃及的时候，亚玛力人在路上怎样待你。

「 nǐ yào jì niàn nǐ men chū āi jí de shí hòu ， yà mǎ lì rén zài lù shang zěn yàng dài nǐ 。

Remember what Amalek did to you by the way as you came out of Egypt,

他们在路上遇见你，趁你疲乏困倦击杀你尽后边软弱的人，并不敬畏 神。

tā men zài lù shang yù jiàn nǐ ， chèn nǐ pí fá kùn juàn jī shā nǐ jìn hòu biān ruǎn ruò de rén ， bìng bú jìng wèi shén 。

how he met you by the way, and struck the rearmost of you, all who were feeble behind you, when you were faint and weary; and he didn’t fear God.

所以耶和华—你 神使你不被四围一切的仇敌扰乱，在耶和华—你 神赐你为业的地上得享平安。那时，你要将亚玛力的名号从天下涂抹了，不可忘记。」

suǒ yǐ yē hé huá — nǐ shén shǐ nǐ bú bèi sì wéi yí qiè de chóu dí rǎo luàn ， zài yē hé huá — nǐ shén cì nǐ wèi yè de dì shàng dé xiǎng píng ān 。 nà shí ， nǐ yào jiāng yà mǎ lì de míng hào cóng tiān xià tú mǒ le ， bù kě wàng jì 。」

Therefore it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from all your enemies all around, in the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it, that you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under the sky. You shall not forget.
