Deuteronomy 29:18

惟恐你们中间，或男或女，或族长或支派长，今日心里偏离耶和华—我们的 神，去事奉那些国的神；又怕你们中间有恶根生出苦菜和茵 来，

wéi kǒng nǐ men zhōng jiān ， huò nán huò nǚ ， huò zú zhǎng huò zhī pài cháng ， jīn rì xīn li piān lí yē hé huá — wǒ men de shén ， qù shì fèng nà xiē guó de shén ； yòu pà nǐ men zhōng jiān yǒu è gēn shēng chū kǔ cài hé yīn lái ，

lest there should be among you man, woman, family, or tribe whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that produces bitter poison;
