Deuteronomy 8

「我今日所吩咐的一切诫命，你们要谨守遵行，好叫你们存活，人数增多，且进去得耶和华向你们列祖起誓应许的那地。

「 wǒ jīn rì suǒ fēn fù de yí qiè jiè mìng ， nǐ men yào jǐn shǒu zūn xíng ， hǎo jiào nǐ men cún huó ， rén shù zēng duō ， qiě jìn qù dé yē hé huá xiàng nǐ men liè zǔ qǐ shì yīng xǔ de nà dì 。

You shall observe to do all the commandments which I command you today, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers.

你也要记念耶和华—你的 神在旷野引导你这四十年，是要苦炼你，试验你，要知道你心内如何，肯守他的诫命不肯。

nǐ yě yào jì niàn yē hé huá — nǐ de shén zài kuàng yě yǐn dǎo nǐ zhè sì shí nián ， shì yào kǔ liàn nǐ ， shì yàn nǐ ， yào zhī dào nǐ xīn nèi rú hé ， kěn shǒu tā de jiè mìng bù kěn 。

You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.

他苦炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道，人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。

tā kǔ liàn nǐ ， rèn nǐ jī è ， jiāng nǐ hé nǐ liè zǔ suǒ bú rèn shi de ma nǎ cì gěi nǐ chī ， shǐ nǐ zhī dào ， rén huó zhe bú shì dān kào shí wù ， nǎi shì kào yē hé huá kǒu lǐ suǒ chū de yí qiè huà 。

He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the LORD’s mouth.

这四十年，你的衣服没有穿破，你的脚也没有肿。

zhè sì shí nián ， nǐ de yī fu méi yǒu chuān pò ， nǐ de jiǎo yě méi yǒu zhǒng 。

Your clothing didn’t grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.

你当心里思想，耶和华—你 神管教你，好像人管教儿子一样。

nǐ dāng xīn lǐ sī xiǎng ， yē hé huá — nǐ shén guǎn jiào nǐ ， hǎo xiàng rén guǎn jiào ér zi yí yàng 。

You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.

你要谨守耶和华—你 神的诫命，遵行他的道，敬畏他。

nǐ yào jǐn shǒu yē hé huá — nǐ shén de jiè mìng ， zūn xíng tā de dào ， jìng wèi tā 。

You shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

因为耶和华—你 神领你进入美地，那地有河，有泉，有源，从山谷中流出水来。

yīn wèi yē hé huá — nǐ shén lǐng nǐ jìn rù měi dì ， nà dì yǒu hé ， yǒu quán ， yǒu yuán ， cóng shān gǔ zhōng liú chū shuǐ lái 。

For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills;

那地有小麦、大麦、葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树、橄榄树，和蜜。

nà dì yǒu xiǎo mài 、 dà mài 、 pú táo shù 、 wú huā guǒ shù 、 shí liú shù 、 gǎn lǎn shù ， hé mì 。

a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey;

你在那地不缺食物，一无所缺。那地的石头是铁，山内可以挖铜。

nǐ zài nà dì bù quē shí wù ， yì wú suǒ quē 。 nà dì de shí tou shì tiě ， shān nèi kě yǐ wā tóng 。

a land in which you shall eat bread without scarcity, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.

你吃得饱足，就要称颂耶和华—你的 神，因他将那美地赐给你了。」

nǐ chī dé bǎo zú ， jiù yào chēng sòng yē hé huá — nǐ de shén ， yīn tā jiāng nà měi dì cì gěi nǐ le 。」

You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which he has given you.

「你要谨慎，免得忘记耶和华—你的 神，不守他的诫命、典章、律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的；

「 nǐ yào jǐn shèn ， miǎn de wàng jì yē hé huá — nǐ de shén ， bù shǒu tā de jiè mìng 、 diǎn zhāng 、 lǜ lì ， jiù shì wǒ jīn rì suǒ fēn fù nǐ de ；

Beware lest you forget the LORD your God, in not keeping his commandments, his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you today;

恐怕你吃得饱足，建造美好的房屋居住，

kǒng pà nǐ chī dé bǎo zú ， jiàn zào měi hǎo de fáng wū jū zhù ，

lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built fine houses and lived in them;

你的牛羊加多，你的金银增添，并你所有的全都加增，

nǐ de niú yáng jiā duō ， nǐ de jīn yín zēng tiān ， bìng nǐ suǒ yǒu de quán dōu jiā zēng ，

and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;

你就心高气傲，忘记耶和华—你的 神，就是将你从埃及地为奴之家领出来的，

nǐ jiù xīn gāo qì ào ， wàng jì yē hé huá — nǐ de shén ， jiù shì jiāng nǐ cóng āi jí dì wèi nú zhī jiā lǐng chū lái de ，

then your heart might be lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;

引你经过那大而可怕的旷野，那里有火蛇、蝎子、干旱无水之地。他曾为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来，

yǐn nǐ jīng guò nà dà ér kě pà de kuàng yě ， nà lǐ yǒu huǒ shé 、 xiē zǐ 、 gān hàn wú shuǐ zhī dì 。 tā céng wèi nǐ shǐ shuǐ cóng jiān yìng de pán shí zhōng liú chū lái ，

who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with venomous snakes and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who poured water for you out of the rock of flint;

又在旷野将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，是要苦炼你，试验你，叫你终久享福；

yòu zài kuàng yě jiāng nǐ liè zǔ suǒ bú rèn shi de ma nǎ cì gěi nǐ chī ， shì yào kǔ liàn nǐ ， shì yàn nǐ ， jiào nǐ zhōng jiǔ xiǎng fú ；

who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know, that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end;

恐怕你心里说：『这货财是我力量、我能力得来的。』

kǒng pà nǐ xīn lǐ shuō ：『 zhè huò cái shì wǒ lì liàng 、 wǒ néng lì dé lái de 。』

and lest you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.”

你要记念耶和华—你的 神，因为得货财的力量是他给你的，为要坚定他向你列祖起誓所立的约，像今日一样。

nǐ yào jì niàn yē hé huá — nǐ de shén ， yīn wèi dé huò cái de lì liàng shì tā gěi nǐ de ， wèi yào jiān dìng tā xiàng nǐ liè zǔ qǐ shì suǒ lì de yuē ， xiàng jīn rì yí yàng 。

But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.

你若忘记耶和华—你的 神，随从别神，事奉敬拜，你们必定灭亡；这是我今日警戒你们的。

nǐ ruò wàng jì yē hé huá — nǐ de shén ， suí cóng bié shén ， shì fèng jìng bài ， nǐ men bì dìng miè wáng ； zhè shì wǒ jīn rì jǐng jiè nǐ men de 。

It shall be, if you shall forget the LORD your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you shall surely perish.

耶和华在你们面前怎样使列国的民灭亡，你们也必照样灭亡，因为你们不听从耶和华—你们 神的话。」

yē hé huá zài nǐ men miàn qián zěn yàng shǐ liè guó de mín miè wáng ， nǐ men yě bì zhào yàng miè wáng ， yīn wèi nǐ men bù tīng cóng yē hé huá — nǐ men shén de huà 。」

As the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish, because you wouldn’t listen to the LORD your God’s voice.
