Exodus 2

有一个利未家的人娶了一个利未女子为妻。

yǒu yí gè lì wèi jiā de rén qǔ le yí gè lì wèi nǚ zǐ wèi qī 。

A man of the house of Levi went and took a daughter of Levi as his wife.

那女人怀孕，生一个儿子，见他俊美，就藏了他三个月，

nà nǚ rén huái yùn ， shēng yí gè ér zi ， jiàn tā jùn měi ， jiù cáng le tā sān gè yuè ，

The woman conceived and bore a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him three months.

后来不能再藏，就取了一个蒲草箱，抹上石漆和石油，将孩子放在里头，把箱子搁在河边的芦荻中。

hòu lái bù néng zài cáng ， jiù qǔ le yí gè pú cǎo xiāng ， mǒ shàng shí qī hé shí yóu ， jiāng hái zi fàng zài lǐ tou ， bǎ xiāng zǐ gē zài hé biān de lú dí zhōng 。

When she could no longer hide him, she took a papyrus basket for him, and coated it with tar and with pitch. She put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank.

孩子的姊姊远远站着，要知道他究竟怎么样。

hái zi de zǐ zǐ yuǎn yuǎn zhàn zhe ， yào zhī dào tā jiū jìng zěn me yàng 。

His sister stood far off, to see what would be done to him.

法老的女儿来到河边洗澡，她的使女们在河边行走。她看见箱子在芦荻中，就打发一个婢女拿来。

fǎ lǎo de nǚ ér lái dào hé biān xǐ zǎo ， tā de shǐ nǚ men zài hé biān xíng zǒu 。 tā kàn jiàn xiāng zǐ zài lú dí zhōng ， jiù dǎ fā yí gè bì nǚ ná lái 。

Pharaoh’s daughter came down to bathe at the river. Her maidens walked along by the riverside. She saw the basket among the reeds, and sent her servant to get it.

她打开箱子，看见那孩子。孩子哭了，她就可怜他，说：「这是希伯来人的一个孩子。」

tā dǎ kāi xiāng zǐ ， kàn jiàn nà hái zi 。 hái zǐ kū le ， tā jiù kě lián tā ， shuō ：「 zhè shì xī bó lái rén de yí gè hái zi 。」

She opened it, and saw the child, and behold, the baby cried. She had compassion on him, and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”

孩子的姊姊对法老的女儿说：「我去在希伯来妇人中叫一个奶妈来，为你奶这孩子，可以不可以？」

hái zi de zǐ zǐ duì fǎ lǎo de nǚ ér shuō ：「 wǒ qù zài xī bó lái fù rén zhōng jiào yí gè nǎi mā lái ， wèi nǐ nǎi zhè hái zi ， kě yǐ bù kě yǐ ？」

Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Should I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?”

法老的女儿说：「可以。」童女就去叫了孩子的母亲来。

fǎ lǎo de nǚ ér shuō ：「 kě yǐ 。」 tóng nǚ jiù qù jiào le hái zi de mǔ qīn lái 。

Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Go.” The young woman went and called the child’s mother.

法老的女儿对她说：「你把这孩子抱去，为我奶他，我必给你工价。」妇人就抱了孩子去奶他。

fǎ lǎo de nǚ ér duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ bǎ zhè hái zi bào qù ， wèi wǒ nǎi tā ， wǒ bì gěi nǐ gōng jià 。」 fù rén jiù bào le hái zi qù nǎi tā 。

Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away, and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.” The woman took the child, and nursed it.

孩子渐长，妇人把他带到法老的女儿那里，就作了她的儿子。她给孩子起名叫摩西，意思说：「因我把他从水里拉出来。」

hái zi jiàn cháng ， fù rén bǎ tā dài dào fǎ lǎo de nǚ ér nà lǐ ， jiù zuò le tā de ér zi 。 tā gěi hái zǐ qǐ míng jiào mó xī ， yì sī shuō ：「 yīn wǒ bǎ tā cóng shuǐ lǐ lā chū lái 。」

The child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses, and said, “Because I drew him out of the water.”

后来，摩西长大，他出去到他弟兄那里，看他们的重担，见一个埃及人打希伯来人的一个弟兄。

hòu lái ， mó xī zhǎng dà ， tā chū qù dào tā dì xiong nà lǐ ， kàn tā men de zhòng dàn ， jiàn yí gè āi jí rén dǎ xī bó lái rén de yí gè dì xiong 。

In those days, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his brothers and saw their burdens. He saw an Egyptian striking a Hebrew, one of his brothers.

他左右观看，见没有人，就把埃及人打死了，藏在沙土里。

tā zuǒ yòu guān kàn ， jiàn méi yǒu rén ， jiù bǎ āi jí rén dǎ sǐ le ， cáng zài shā tǔ lǐ 。

He looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no one, he killed the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

第二天他出去，见有两个希伯来人争斗，就对那欺负人的说：「你为什么打你同族的人呢？」

dì èr tiān tā chū qù ， jiàn yǒu liǎng gè xī bó lái rén zhēng dòu ， jiù duì nà qī fù rén de shuō ：「 nǐ wèi shén me dǎ nǐ tóng zú de rén ne ？」

He went out the second day, and behold, two men of the Hebrews were fighting with each other. He said to him who did the wrong, “Why do you strike your fellow?”

那人说：「谁立你作我们的首领和审判官呢？难道你要杀我，像杀那埃及人吗？」摩西便惧怕，说：「这事必是被人知道了。」

nà rén shuō ：「 shuí lì nǐ zuò wǒ men de shǒu lǐng hé shěn pàn guān ne ？ nán dào nǐ yào shā wǒ ， xiàng shā nà āi jí rén ma ？」 mó xī biàn jù pà ， shuō ：「 zhè shì bì shì bèi rén zhī dào le 。」

He said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you plan to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian?” Moses was afraid, and said, “Surely this thing is known.”

法老听见这事，就想杀摩西，但摩西躲避法老，逃往米甸地居住。

fǎ lǎo tīng jiàn zhè shì ， jiù xiǎng shā mó xī ， dàn mó xī duǒ bì fǎ lǎo ， táo wǎng mǐ diàn dì jū zhù 。

Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and lived in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.

一日，他在井旁坐下。米甸的祭司有七个女儿；她们来打水，打满了槽，要饮父亲的群羊。

yí rì ， tā zài jǐng páng zuò xià 。 mǐ diàn de jì sī yǒu qī gè nǚ ér ； tā men lái dǎ shuǐ ， dǎ mǎn le cáo ， yào yǐn fù qīn de qún yáng 。

Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

有牧羊的人来，把她们赶走了，摩西却起来帮助她们，又饮了她们的群羊。

yǒu mù yáng de rén lái ， bǎ tā men gǎn zǒu le ， mó xī què qǐ lái bāng zhù tā men ， yòu yǐn le tā men de qún yáng 。

The shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

她们来到父亲流珥那里；他说：「今日你们为何来得这么快呢？」

tā men lái dào fù qīn liú ěr nà lǐ ； tā shuō ：「 jīn rì nǐ men wèi hé lái de zhè me kuài ne ？」

When they came to Reuel, their father, he said, “How is it that you have returned so early today?”

她们说：「有一个埃及人救我们脱离牧羊人的手，并且为我们打水饮了群羊。」

tā men shuō ：「 yǒu yí gè āi jí rén jiù wǒ men tuō lí mù yáng rén de shǒu ， bìng qiě wèi wǒ men dǎ shuǐ yǐn le qún yáng 。」

They said, “An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and moreover he drew water for us, and watered the flock.”

他对女儿们说：「那个人在哪里？你们为什么撇下他呢？你们去请他来吃饭。」

tā duì nǚ ér men shuō ：「 nà gè rén zài nǎ lǐ ？ nǐ men wèi shén me piě xià tā ne ？ nǐ men qù qǐng tā lái chī fàn 。」

He said to his daughters, “Where is he? Why is it that you have left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread.”

摩西甘心和那人同住；那人把他的女儿西坡拉给摩西为妻。

mó xī gān xīn hé nà rén tóng zhù ； nà rén bǎ tā de nǚ ér xī pō lā gěi mó xī wèi qī 。

Moses was content to dwell with the man. He gave Moses Zipporah, his daughter.

西坡拉生了一个儿子，摩西给他起名叫革舜，意思说：「因我在外邦作了寄居的。」

xī pō lā shēng le yí gè ér zi ， mó xī gěi tā qǐ míng jiào gé shùn ， yì sī shuō ：「 yīn wǒ zài wài bāng zuò le jì jū de 。」

She bore a son, and he named him Gershom, for he said, “I have lived as a foreigner in a foreign land.”

过了多年，埃及王死了。以色列人因做苦工，就叹息哀求，他们的哀声达于 神。

guò le duō nián ， āi jí wáng sǐ le 。 yǐ sè liè rén yīn zuò kǔ gōng ， jiù tàn xī āi qiú ， tā men de āi shēng dá yú shén 。

In the course of those many days, the king of Egypt died, and the children of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.

神听见他们的哀声，就记念他与亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的约。

shén tīng jiàn tā men de āi shēng ， jiù jì niàn tā yǔ yà bó lā hǎn 、 yǐ sā 、 yǎ gè suǒ lì de yuē 。

God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

神看顾以色列人，也知道他们的苦情。

shén kàn gù yǐ sè liè rén ， yě zhī dào tā men de kǔ qíng 。

God saw the children of Israel, and God understood.
