guò le shí sì nián , wǒ tóng bā ná bā yòu shàng yē lù sā lěng qù , bìng dài zhe tí duō tóng qù 。

Then after a period of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me.

wǒ shì fèng qǐ shì shàng qù de , bǎ wǒ zài wài bāng rén zhōng suǒ chuán de fú yīn duì dì xiong men chén shuō ; què shì bèi dì lǐ duì nà yǒu míng wàng zhī rén shuō de , wéi kǒng wǒ xiàn zài , huò shì cóng qián , tú rán bēn pǎo 。

I went up by revelation, and I laid before them the Good News which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately before those who were respected, for fear that I might be running, or had run, in vain.

dàn yǔ wǒ tóng qù de tí duō , suī shì xī là rén , yě méi yǒu miǎn qiǎng tā shòu gē lǐ ;

But not even Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.

yīn wèi yǒu tōu zhe yǐn jìn lái de jiǎ dì xiong , sī xià kuī tàn wǒ men zài jī dū yē sū lǐ de zì yóu , yào jiào wǒ men zuò nú pú 。

This was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage,

wǒ men jiù shì yí kè de gōng fū yě méi yǒu róng ràng shùn fú tā men , wèi yào jiào fú yīn de zhēn lǐ réng cún zài nǐ men zhōng jiān 。

to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the Good News might continue with you.

zhì yú nà xiē yǒu míng wàng de , bú lùn tā shì hé děng rén , dōu yǔ wǒ wú gān 。 shén bù yǐ wài mào qǔ rén 。 nà xiē yǒu míng wàng de , bìng méi yǒu jiā zēng wǒ shén me ,

But from those who were reputed to be important—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God doesn’t show partiality to man—they, I say, who were respected imparted nothing to me,

fǎn dǎo kàn jiàn le zhǔ tuō wǒ chuán fú yīn gěi nà wèi shòu gē lǐ de rén , zhèng rú tuō bǐ dé chuán fú yīn gěi nà shòu gē lǐ de rén 。(

but to the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the Good News for the uncircumcised, even as Peter with the Good News for the circumcised—

nà gǎn dòng bǐ dé 、 jiào tā wèi shòu gē lǐ zhī rén zuò shǐ tú de , yě gǎn dòng wǒ , jiào wǒ wèi wài bāng rén zuò shǐ tú ;)

for he who worked through Peter in the apostleship with the circumcised also worked through me with the Gentiles—

yòu zhī dào suǒ cì gěi wǒ de ēn diǎn , nà chēng wéi jiào huì zhù shí de yǎ gè 、 jī fǎ 、 yuē hàn , jiù xiàng wǒ hé bā ná bā yòng yòu shǒu xíng xiāng jiāo zhī lǐ , jiào wǒ men wǎng wài bāng rén nà lǐ qù , tā men wǎng shòu gē lǐ de rén nà lǐ qù 。

and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, those who were reputed to be pillars, gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision.

zhǐ shì yuàn yì wǒ men jì niàn qióng rén ; zhè yě shì wǒ běn lái rè xīn qù xíng de 。

They only asked us to remember the poor—which very thing I was also zealous to do.

hòu lái , jī fǎ dào le ān tí ā ; yīn tā yǒu kě zé zhī chù , wǒ jiù dāng miàn dǐ dǎng tā 。

But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned.

For before some people came from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.

qí yú de yóu tài rén yě dōu suí zhe tā zhuāng jiǎ , shèn zhì lián bā ná bā yě suí huǒ zhuāng jiǎ 。

And the rest of the Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?

wǒ men zhè shēng lái de yóu tài rén , bú shì wài bāng de zuì rén ;

jì zhī dào rén chēng yì bú shì yīn xíng lǜ fǎ , nǎi shì yīn xìn yē sū jī dū , lián wǒ men yě xìn le jī dū yē sū , shǐ wǒ men yīn xìn jī dū chēng yì , bù yīn xíng lǜ fǎ chēng yì ; yīn wèi fán yǒu xuè qì de , méi yǒu yì rén yīn xíng lǜ fǎ chēng yì 。

yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

wǒ men ruò qiú zài jī dū lǐ chēng yì , què réng jiù shì zuì rén , nán dào jī dū shì jiào rén fàn zuì de ma ? duàn hū bú shì !

But if while we sought to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Christ a servant of sin? Certainly not!

wǒ sù lái suǒ chāi huǐ de , ruò chóng xīn jiàn zào , zhè jiù zhèng míng zì jǐ shì fàn zuì de rén 。

For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a law-breaker.

wǒ yīn lǜ fǎ , jiù xiàng lǜ fǎ sǐ le , jiào wǒ kě yǐ xiàng shén huó zhe 。

For I through the law died to the law, that I might live to God.

wǒ yǐ jīng yǔ jī dū tóng dīng shí zì jià , xiàn zài huó zhe de bú zài shì wǒ , nǎi shì jī dū zài wǒ lǐ miàn huó zhe ; bìng qiě wǒ rú jīn zài ròu shēn huó zhe , shì yīn xìn shén de ér zi ér huó ; tā shì ài wǒ , wèi wǒ shè jǐ 。

I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.

wǒ bú fèi diào shén de ēn ; yì ruò shì jiè zhe lǜ fǎ dé de , jī dū jiù shì tú rán sǐ le 。

I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!”
