基拉耳的牧人与以撒的牧人争竞，说：「这水是我们的。」以撒就给那井起名叫埃色 ，因为他们和他相争。
jī lā ěr de mù rén yǔ yǐ sā de mù rén zhēng jìng ， shuō ：「 zhè shuǐ shì wǒ men de 。」 yǐ sā jiù gěi nà jǐng qǐ míng jiào āi sè ， yīn wèi tā men hé tā xiāng zhēng 。
The herdsmen of Gerar argued with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.
