要使这百姓心蒙脂油， 耳朵发沉， 眼睛昏迷； 恐怕眼睛看见， 耳朵听见， 心里明白， 回转过来，便得医治。」
yào shǐ zhè bǎi xìng xīn méng zhī yóu ， ěr duo fā chén ， yǎn jing hūn mí ； kǒng pà yǎn jing kàn jiàn ， ěr duo tīng jiàn ， xīn li míng bai ， huí zhuǎn guò lái ， biàn dé yī zhì 。」
Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.”
