John 2
dì sān rì , zài jiā lì lì de jiā ná yǒu qǔ qīn de yán xí , yē sū de mǔ qīn zài nà lǐ 。
The third day, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.
yē sū hé tā de mén tú yě bèi qǐng qù fù xí 。
Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, to the wedding.
jiǔ yòng jìn le , yē sū de mǔ qīn duì tā shuō :「 tā men méi yǒu jiǔ le 。」
When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine.”
yē sū shuō :「 mǔ qīn , wǒ yǔ nǐ yǒu shén me xiāng gān ? wǒ de shí hòu hái méi yǒu dào 。」
Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.”
tā mǔ qīn duì yòng rén shuō :「 tā gào sù nǐ men shén me , nǐ men jiù zuò shén me 。」
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do it.”
zhào yóu tài rén jié jìng de guī jǔ , yǒu liù kǒu shí gāng bǎi zài nà lǐ , měi kǒu kě yǐ shèng liǎng sān tǒng shuǐ 。
Now there were six water pots of stone set there after the Jews’ way of purifying, containing two or three metretes apiece.
yē sū duì yòng rén shuō :「 bǎ gāng dǎo mǎn le shuǐ 。」 tā men jiù dǎo mǎn le , zhí dào gāng kǒu 。
Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim.
yē sū yòu shuō :「 xiàn zài kě yǐ yǎo chū lái , sòng gěi guǎn yán xí de 。」 tā men jiù sòng le qù 。
He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast.” So they took it.
When the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn’t know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom
duì tā shuō :「 rén dōu shì xiān bǎi shàng hǎo jiǔ , děng kè hē zú le , cái bǎi shàng cì de , nǐ dǎo bǎ hǎo jiǔ liú dào rú jīn !」
and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now!”
zhè shì yē sū suǒ xíng de tóu yí jiàn shén jì , shì zài jiā lì lì de jiā ná xíng de , xiǎn chū tā de róng yào lái ; tā de mén tú jiù xìn tā le 。
This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
zhè shì yǐ hòu , yē sū yǔ tā de mǔ qīn 、 dì xiong , hé mén tú dōu xià jiā bǎi nóng qù , zài nà lǐ zhù le bù duō jǐ rì 。
After this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
yóu tài rén de yú yuè jié jìn le , yē sū jiù shàng yē lù sā lěng qù 。
The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
kàn jiàn diàn lǐ yǒu mài niú 、 yáng 、 gē zi de , bìng yǒu duì huàn yín qián de rén zuò zài nà lǐ ,
He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.
yē sū jiù ná shéng zi zuò chéng biān zǐ , bǎ niú yáng dōu gǎn chū diàn qù , dǎo chū duì huàn yín qián zhī rén de yín qián , tuī fān tā men de zhuō zi ,
He made a whip of cords and drove all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money and overthrew their tables.
yòu duì mài gē zi de shuō :「 bǎ zhè xiē dōng xī ná qù ! bú yào jiāng wǒ fù de diàn dàng zuò mǎi mài de dì fāng 。」
To those who sold the doves, he said, “Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”
tā de mén tú jiù xiǎng qǐ jīng shàng jì zhe shuō :「 wǒ wèi nǐ de diàn xīn lǐ jiāo jí , rú tóng huǒ shāo 。」
His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will eat me up.”
yīn cǐ yóu tài rén wèn tā shuō :「 nǐ jì zuò zhè xiē shì , hái xiǎn shén me shén jì gěi wǒ men kàn ne ?」
The Jews therefore answered him, “What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?”
yē sū huí dá shuō :「 nǐ men chāi huǐ zhè diàn , wǒ sān rì nèi yào zài jiàn lì qǐ lái 。」
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
yóu tài rén biàn shuō :「 zhè diàn shì sì shí liù nián cái zào chéng de , nǐ sān rì nèi jiù zài jiàn lì qǐ lái ma ?」
The Jews therefore said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple! Will you raise it up in three days?”
dàn yē sū zhè huà shì yǐ tā de shēn tǐ wèi diàn 。
But he spoke of the temple of his body.
suǒ yǐ dào tā cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó yǐ hòu , mén tú jiù xiǎng qǐ tā shuō guò zhè huà , biàn xìn le shèng jīng hé yē sū suǒ shuō de 。
When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
dāng yē sū zài yē lù sā lěng guò yú yuè jié de shí hòu , yǒu xǔ duō rén kàn jiàn tā suǒ xíng de shén jì , jiù xìn le tā de míng 。
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, observing his signs which he did.
yē sū què bù jiāng zì jǐ jiāo tuō tā men ; yīn wèi tā zhī dào wàn rén ,
But Jesus didn’t entrust himself to them, because he knew everyone,
yě yòng bù zhe shuí jiàn zhèng rén zěn yàng , yīn tā zhī dào rén xīn lǐ suǒ cún de 。
and because he didn’t need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
