Joshua 2

当下，嫩的儿子约书亚从什亭暗暗打发两个人作探子，吩咐说：「你们去窥探那地和耶利哥。」于是二人去了，来到一个妓女名叫喇合的家里，就在那里躺卧。

dāng xià ， nèn de ér zi yuē shū yà cóng shén tíng àn àn dǎ fā liǎng gè rén zuò tàn zǐ ， fēn fù shuō ：「 nǐ men qù kuī tàn nà dì hé yē lì gē 。」 yú shì èr rén qù le ， lái dào yí gè jì nǚ míng jiào lā hé de jiā lǐ ， jiù zài nà lǐ tǎng wò 。

Joshua the son of Nun secretly sent two men out of Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, including Jericho.” They went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and slept there.

有人告诉耶利哥王说：「今夜有以色列人来到这里窥探此地。」

yǒu rén gào sù yē lì gē wáng shuō ：「 jīn yè yǒu yǐ sè liè rén lái dào zhè lǐ kuī tàn cǐ dì 。」

The king of Jericho was told, “Behold, men of the children of Israel came in here tonight to spy out the land.”

耶利哥王打发人去见喇合说：「那来到你这里、进了你家的人要交出来，因为他们来窥探全地。」

yē lì gē wáng dǎ fā rén qù jiàn lā hé shuō ：「 nà lái dào nǐ zhè lǐ 、 jìn le nǐ jiā de rén yào jiāo chū lái ， yīn wèi tā men lái kuī tàn quán dì 。」

Jericho’s king sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered into your house; for they have come to spy out all the land.”

女人将二人隐藏，就回答说：「那人果然到我这里来；他们是哪里来的我却不知道。

nǚ rén jiāng èr rén yǐn cáng ， jiù huí dá shuō ：「 nà rén guǒ rán dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái ； tā men shì nǎ lǐ lái de wǒ què bù zhī dào 。

The woman took the two men and hid them. Then she said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I didn’t know where they came from.

天黑、要关城门的时候，他们出去了，往哪里去我却不知道。你们快快地去追赶，就必追上。」（

tiān hēi 、 yào guān chéng mén de shí hòu ， tā men chū qù le ， wǎng nǎ lǐ qù wǒ què bù zhī dào 。 nǐ men kuài kuài dì qù zhuī gǎn ， jiù bì zhuī shàng 。」（

About the time of the shutting of the gate, when it was dark, the men went out. Where the men went, I don’t know. Pursue them quickly. You may catch up with them.”

先是女人领二人上了房顶，将他们藏在那里所摆的麻秸中。）

xiān shì nǚ rén lǐng èr rén shàng le fáng dǐng ， jiāng tā men cáng zài nà lǐ suǒ bǎi de má jiē zhōng 。）

But she had brought them up to the roof, and hidden them under the stalks of flax which she had laid in order on the roof.

那些人就往约旦河的渡口追赶他们去了。追赶他们的人一出去，城门就关了。

nà xiē rén jiù wǎng yuē dàn hé de dù kǒu zhuī gǎn tā men qù le 。 zhuī gǎn tā men de rén yì chū qù ， chéng mén jiù guān le 。

The men pursued them along the way to the fords of the Jordan River. As soon as those who pursued them had gone out, they shut the gate.

二人还没有躺卧，女人就上房顶，到他们那里，

èr rén hái méi yǒu tǎng wò ， nǚ rén jiù shàng fáng dǐng ， dào tā men nà lǐ ，

Before they had lain down, she came up to them on the roof.

对他们说：「我知道耶和华已经把这地赐给你们，并且因你们的缘故我们都惊慌了。这地的一切居民在你们面前心都消化了；

duì tā men shuō ：「 wǒ zhī dào yē hé huá yǐ jīng bǎ zhè dì cì gěi nǐ men ， bìng qiě yīn nǐ men de yuán gù wǒ men dōu jīng huāng le 。 zhè dì de yí qiè jū mín zài nǐ men miàn qián xīn dōu xiāo huà le ；

She said to the men, “I know that the LORD has given you the land, and that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you.

因为我们听见你们出埃及的时候，耶和华怎样在你们前面使红海的水干了，并且你们怎样待约旦河东的两个亚摩利王西宏和噩，将他们尽行毁灭。

yīn wèi wǒ men tīng jiàn nǐ men chū āi jí de shí hòu ， yē hé huá zěn yàng zài nǐ men qián miàn shǐ hóng hǎi de shuǐ gān le ， bìng qiě nǐ men zěn yàng dài yuē dàn hé dōng de liǎng gè yà mó lì wáng xī hóng hé è ， jiāng tā men jìn xíng huǐ miè 。

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and to Og, whom you utterly destroyed.

我们一听见这些事，心就消化了。因你们的缘故，并无一人有胆气。耶和华—你们的 神本是上天下地的 神。

wǒ men yì tīng jiàn zhè xiē shì ， xīn jiù xiāo huà le 。 yīn nǐ men de yuán gù ， bìng wú yì rén yǒu dǎn qì 。 yē hé huá — nǐ men de shén běn shì shàng tiān xià dì de shén 。

As soon as we had heard it, our hearts melted, and there wasn’t any more spirit in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.

现在我既是恩待你们，求你们指着耶和华向我起誓，也要恩待我父家，并给我一个实在的证据，

xiàn zài wǒ jì shì ēn dài nǐ men ， qiú nǐ men zhǐ zhe yē hé huá xiàng wǒ qǐ shì ， yě yào ēn dài wǒ fù jiā ， bìng gěi wǒ yí gè shí zài de zhèng jù ，

Now therefore, please swear to me by the LORD, since I have dealt kindly with you, that you also will deal kindly with my father’s house, and give me a true sign;

要救活我的父母、弟兄、姊妹，和一切属他们的，拯救我们性命不死。」

yào jiù huó wǒ de fù mǔ 、 dì xiong 、 zǐ mèi ， hé yí qiè shǔ tā men de ， zhěng jiù wǒ men xìng mìng bù sǐ 。」

and that you will save alive my father, my mother, my brothers, and my sisters, and all that they have, and will deliver our lives from death.”

二人对她说：「你若不泄漏我们这件事，我们情愿替你们死。耶和华将这地赐给我们的时候，我们必以慈爱诚实待你。」

èr rén duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ ruò bú xiè lòu wǒ men zhè jiàn shì ， wǒ men qíng yuàn tì nǐ men sǐ 。 yē hé huá jiāng zhè dì cì gěi wǒ men de shí hòu ， wǒ men bì yǐ cí ài chéng shí dài nǐ 。」

The men said to her, “Our life for yours, if you don’t talk about this business of ours; and it shall be, when the LORD gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”

于是女人用绳子将二人从窗户里缒下去；因她的房子是在城墙边上，她也住在城墙上。

yú shì nǚ rén yòng shéng zi jiāng èr rén cóng chuāng hù lǐ zhuì xià qù ； yīn tā de fáng zi shì zài chéng qiáng biān shàng ， tā yě zhù zài chéng qiáng shàng 。

Then she let them down by a cord through the window; for her house was on the side of the wall, and she lived on the wall.

她对他们说：「你们且往山上去，恐怕追赶的人碰见你们；要在那里隐藏三天，等追赶的人回来，然后才可以走你们的路。」

tā duì tā men shuō ：「 nǐ men qiě wǎng shān shàng qù ， kǒng pà zhuī gǎn de rén pèng jiàn nǐ men ； yào zài nà lǐ yǐn cáng sān tiān ， děng zhuī gǎn de rén huí lái ， rán hòu cái kě yǐ zǒu nǐ men de lù 。」

She said to them, “Go to the mountain, lest the pursuers find you. Hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers have returned. Afterward, you may go your way.”

二人对她说：「你要这样行。不然，你叫我们所起的誓就与我们无干了。

èr rén duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ yào zhè yàng xíng 。 bù rán ， nǐ jiào wǒ men suǒ qǐ de shì jiù yǔ wǒ men wú gān le 。

The men said to her, “We will be guiltless of this your oath which you’ve made us to swear.

我们来到这地的时候，你要把这条朱红线绳系在缒我们下去的窗户上，并要使你的父母、弟兄，和你父的全家都聚集在你家中。

wǒ men lái dào zhè dì de shí hòu ， nǐ yào bǎ zhè tiáo zhū hóng xiàn shéng xì zài zhuì wǒ men xià qù de chuāng hù shàng ， bìng yào shǐ nǐ de fù mǔ 、 dì xiong ， hé nǐ fù de quán jiā dōu jù jí zài nǐ jiā zhōng 。

Behold, when we come into the land, tie this line of scarlet thread in the window which you used to let us down. Gather to yourself into the house your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household.

凡出了你家门往街上去的，他的罪 必归到自己的头上，与我们无干了。凡在你家里的，若有人下手害他，流他血的罪就归到我们的头上。

fán chū le nǐ jiā mén wǎng jiē shàng qù de ， tā de zuì bì guī dào zì jǐ de tóu shàng ， yǔ wǒ men wú gān le 。 fán zài nǐ jiā lǐ de ， ruò yǒu rén xià shǒu hài tā ， liú tā xuè de zuì jiù guī dào wǒ men de tóu shàng 。

It shall be that whoever goes out of the doors of your house into the street, his blood will be on his head, and we will be guiltless. Whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand is on him.

你若泄漏我们这件事，你叫我们所起的誓就与我们无干了。」

nǐ ruò xiè lòu wǒ men zhè jiàn shì ， nǐ jiào wǒ men suǒ qǐ de shì jiù yǔ wǒ men wú gān le 。」

But if you talk about this business of ours, then we shall be guiltless of your oath which you’ve made us to swear.”

女人说：「照你们的话行吧！」于是打发他们去了，又把朱红线绳系在窗户上。

nǚ rén shuō ：「 zhào nǐ men de huà xíng ba ！」 yú shì dǎ fā tā men qù le ， yòu bǎ zhū hóng xiàn shéng xì zài chuāng hù shàng 。

She said, “Let it be as you have said.” She sent them away, and they departed. Then she tied the scarlet line in the window.

二人到山上，在那里住了三天，等着追赶的人回去了。追赶的人一路找他们，却找不着。

èr rén dào shān shàng ， zài nà lǐ zhù le sān tiān ， děng zhe zhuī gǎn de rén huí qù le 。 zhuī gǎn de rén yí lù zhǎo tā men ， què zhǎo bù zhe 。

They went and came to the mountain, and stayed there three days, until the pursuers had returned. The pursuers sought them all along the way, but didn’t find them.

二人就下山回来，过了河，到嫩的儿子约书亚那里，向他述说所遭遇的一切事；

èr rén jiù xià shān huí lái ， guò le hé ， dào nèn de ér zi yuē shū yà nà lǐ ， xiàng tā shù shuō suǒ zāo yù de yí qiè shì ；

Then the two men returned, descended from the mountain, crossed the river, and came to Joshua the son of Nun. They told him all that had happened to them.

又对约书亚说：「耶和华果然将那全地交在我们手中；那地的一切居民在我们面前心都消化了。」

yòu duì yuē shū yà shuō ：「 yē hé huá guǒ rán jiāng nà quán dì jiāo zài wǒ men shǒu zhōng ； nà dì de yí qiè jū mín zài wǒ men miàn qián xīn dōu xiāo huà le 。」

They said to Joshua, “Truly the LORD has delivered all the land into our hands. Moreover, all the inhabitants of the land melt away before us.”
