哀哉！我 好像夏天的果子已被收尽， 又像摘了葡萄所剩下的， 没有一挂可吃的； 我心羡慕初熟的无花果。
āi zāi ！ wǒ hǎo xiàng xià tiān de guǒ zi yǐ bèi shōu jìn ， yòu xiàng zhāi le pú tao suǒ shèng xià de ， méi yǒu yí guà kě chī de ； wǒ xīn xiàn mù chū shú de wú huā guǒ 。
Misery is mine! Indeed, I am like one who gathers the summer fruits, as gleanings of the vineyard. There is no cluster of grapes to eat. My soul desires to eat the early fig.
