wèi jī dū yē sū bèi qiú de bǎo luó , tóng xiōng dì tí mó tài xiě xìn gěi wǒ men suǒ qīn ài de tóng gōng féi lì mén ,

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,

hé mèi zǐ yà féi yà bìng yǔ wǒ men tóng dāng bīng de yà jī bù , yǐ jí zài nǐ jiā de jiào huì 。

to the beloved Apphia, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the assembly in your house:

yuàn ēn huì 、 píng ān cóng shén wǒ men de fù hé zhǔ yē sū jī dū guī yǔ nǐ men !

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

wǒ dǎo gào de shí hòu tí dào nǐ , cháng wèi nǐ gǎn xiè wǒ de shén ;

I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,

yīn tīng shuō nǐ de ài xīn bìng nǐ xiàng zhǔ yē sū hé zhòng shèng tú de xìn xīn 。

hearing of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,

使

yuàn nǐ yǔ rén suǒ tóng yǒu de xìn xīn xiǎn chū gōng xiào , shǐ rén zhī dào nǐ men gè yàng shàn shì dōu shì wèi jī dū zuò de 。

that the fellowship of your faith may become effective in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus.

xiōng dì a , wǒ wèi nǐ de ài xīn , dà yǒu kuài lè , dà dé ān wèi , yīn zhòng shèng tú de xīn cóng nǐ dé le chàng kuài 。

For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

wǒ suī rán kào zhe jī dū néng fàng dǎn fēn fù nǐ hé yí de shì ,

Therefore though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate,

rán ér xiàng wǒ zhè yǒu nián jì de bǎo luó , xiàn zài yòu shì wèi jī dū yē sū bèi qiú de , nìng kě píng zhe ài xīn qiú nǐ ,

yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

西

jiù shì wèi wǒ zài kǔn suǒ zhōng suǒ shēng de ér zi ā ní xī móu qiú nǐ 。

I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,

tā cóng qián yǔ nǐ méi yǒu yì chù , dàn rú jīn yǔ nǐ wǒ dōu yǒu yì chù 。

who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.

wǒ xiàn zài dǎ fā tā qīn zì huí nǐ nà lǐ qù ; tā shì wǒ xīn shàng de rén 。

I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,

wǒ běn lái yǒu yì jiāng tā liú xià , zài wǒ wèi fú yīn suǒ shòu de kǔn suǒ zhōng tì nǐ cì hou wǒ 。

whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.

dàn bù zhī dào nǐ de yì sī , wǒ jiù bú yuàn yì zhè yàng xíng , jiào nǐ de shàn xíng bú shì chū yú miǎn qiǎng , nǎi shì chū yú gān xīn 。

But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.

tā zàn shí lí kāi nǐ , huò zhě shì jiào nǐ yǒng yuǎn dé zhe tā ,

For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever,

bú zài shì nú pú , nǎi shì gāo guò nú pú , shì qīn ài de xiōng dì 。 zài wǒ shí zài shì rú cǐ , hé kuàng zài nǐ ne ! zhè yě bù jū shì àn ròu tǐ shuō , shì àn zhǔ shuō 。

no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

nǐ ruò yǐ wǒ wèi tóng bàn , jiù shōu nà tā , rú tóng shōu nà wǒ yí yàng 。

If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.

tā ruò kuī fù nǐ , huò qiàn nǐ shén me , dōu guī zài wǒ de zhàng shàng ;

But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.

wǒ bì cháng huán , zhè shì wǒ — bǎo luó qīn bǐ xiě de 。 wǒ bìng bú yòng duì nǐ shuō , lián nǐ zì jǐ yě shì kuī qiàn yú wǒ 。

I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).

使使

xiōng dì a , wàng nǐ shǐ wǒ zài zhǔ lǐ yīn nǐ dé kuài lè , bìng wàng nǐ shǐ wǒ de xīn zài jī dū lǐ dé chàng kuài 。

Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.

wǒ xiě xìn gěi nǐ , shēn xìn nǐ bì shùn fú , zhī dào nǐ suǒ yào xíng de bì guò yú wǒ suǒ shuō de 。

Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.

cǐ wài nǐ hái yào gěi wǒ yù bèi zhù chù ; yīn wèi wǒ pàn wàng jiè zhe nǐ men de dǎo gào , bì méng ēn dào nǐ men nà lǐ qù 。

Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.

wèi jī dū yē sū yǔ wǒ tóng zuò jiān de yǐ bā fú wèn nǐ ān 。

Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you,

yǔ wǒ tóng gōng de mǎ kě 、 yà lǐ dá gǔ 、 dǐ mǎ 、 lù jiā yě dōu wèn nǐ ān 。

as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

yuàn wǒ men zhǔ yē sū jī dū de ēn cháng zài nǐ de xīn lǐ 。 ā men !

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
