yē sū jī dū de pú rén bǎo luó , fèng zhào wèi shǐ tú , tè pài chuán shén de fú yīn 。

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the Good News of God,

zhè fú yīn shì shén cóng qián jiè zhòng xiān zhī zài shèng jīng shàng suǒ yīng xǔ de ,

which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,

lùn dào tā ér zi — wǒ zhǔ yē sū jī dū 。 àn ròu tǐ shuō , shì cóng dà wèi hòu yì shēng de ;

concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,

àn shèng shàn de líng shuō , yīn cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó , yǐ dà néng xiǎn míng shì shén de ér zi 。

who was declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

使

wǒ men cóng tā shòu le ēn huì bìng shǐ tú de zhí fēn , zài wàn guó zhī zhōng jiào rén wéi tā de míng xìn fú zhēn dào ;

through whom we received grace and apostleship for obedience of faith among all the nations for his name’s sake;

qí zhōng yě yǒu nǐ men zhè méng zhào shǔ yē sū jī dū de rén 。

among whom you are also called to belong to Jesus Christ;

wǒ xiě xìn gěi nǐ men zài luó mǎ 、 wèi shén suǒ ài 、 fèng zhào zuò shèng tú de zhòng rén 。 yuàn ēn huì 、 píng ān cóng wǒ men de fù shén bìng zhǔ yē sū jī dū guī yǔ nǐ men !

to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

dì yī , wǒ kào zhe yē sū jī dū , wèi nǐ men zhòng rén gǎn xiè wǒ de shén , yīn nǐ men de xìn dé chuán biàn le tiān xià 。

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.

wǒ zài tā ér zi fú yīn shàng , yòng xīn líng suǒ shì fèng de shén kě yǐ jiàn zhèng , wǒ zěn yàng bú zhù dì tí dào nǐ men ;

For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the Good News of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers,

zài dǎo gào zhī jiān cháng cháng kěn qiú , huò zhě zhào shén de zhǐ yì , zhōng néng dé píng tǎn de dào lù wǎng nǐ men nà lǐ qù 。

requesting, if by any means now at last I may be prospered by the will of God to come to you.

使

yīn wèi wǒ qiè qiè dì xiǎng jiàn nǐ men , yào bǎ xiē shǔ líng de ēn cì fēn gěi nǐ men , shǐ nǐ men kě yǐ jiān gù ;

For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established;

zhè yàng , wǒ zài nǐ men zhōng jiān , yīn nǐ yǔ wǒ bǐ cǐ de xìn xīn , jiù kě yǐ tóng dé ān wèi 。

that is, that I with you may be encouraged in you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.

dì xiong men , wǒ bú yuàn yì nǐ men bù zhī dào , wǒ lǚ cì dìng yì wǎng nǐ men nà lǐ qù , yào zài nǐ men zhōng jiān dé xiē guǒ zǐ , rú tóng zài qí yú de wài bāng rén zhōng yí yàng ; zhǐ shì dào rú jīn réng yǒu zǔ gé 。

Now I don’t desire to have you unaware, brothers, that I often planned to come to you (and was hindered so far), that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the rest of the Gentiles.

wú lùn shì xī là rén 、 huà wài rén 、 cōng ming rén 、 yú zhuō rén , wǒ dōu qiàn tā men de zhài ,

I am debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to the wise and to the foolish.

suǒ yǐ qíng yuàn jìn wǒ de lì liàng , jiāng fú yīn yě chuán gěi nǐ men zài luó mǎ de rén 。

So as much as is in me, I am eager to preach the Good News to you also who are in Rome.

wǒ bù yǐ fú yīn wèi chǐ ; zhè fú yīn běn shì shén de dà néng , yào jiù yí qiè xiāng xìn de , xiān shì yóu tài rén , hòu shì xī là rén 。

For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

:「。」

yīn wèi shén de yì zhèng zài zhè fú yīn shàng xiǎn míng chū lái ; zhè yì shì běn yú xìn , yǐ zhì yú xìn 。 rú jīng shàng suǒ jì :「 yì rén bì yīn xìn dé shēng 。」

For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”

忿

yuán lái , shén de fèn nù cóng tiān shàng xiǎn míng zài yí qiè bù qián bú yì de rén shēn shàng , jiù shì nà xiē xíng bú yì zǔ dǎng zhēn lǐ de rén 。

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

shén de shì qíng , rén suǒ néng zhī dào de , yuán xiǎn míng zài rén xīn lǐ , yīn wèi shén yǐ jīng gěi tā men xiǎn míng 。

because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them.

诿

zì cóng zào tiān dì yǐ lái , shén de yǒng néng hé shén xìng shì míng míng kě zhī de , suī shì yǎn bù néng jiàn , dàn jiè zhe suǒ zào zhī wù jiù kě yǐ xiǎo de , jiào rén wú kě tuī wěi 。

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.

yīn wèi , tā men suī rán zhī dào shén , què bù dàng zuò shén róng yào tā , yě bù gǎn xiè tā 。 tā men de sī niàn biàn wèi xū wàng , wú zhī de xīn jiù hūn àn le 。

Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

zì chēng wéi cōng ming , fǎn chéng le yú zhuō ,

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

jiāng bù néng xiǔ huài zhī shén de róng yào biàn wèi ǒu xiàng , fǎng fú bì xiǔ huài de rén hé fēi qín 、 zǒu shòu 、 kūn chóng de yàng shì 。

and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things.

suǒ yǐ , shén rèn píng tā men chěng zhe xīn lǐ de qíng yù xíng wū huì de shì , yǐ zhì bǐ cǐ diàn rǔ zì jǐ de shēn tǐ 。

Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves;

tā men jiāng shén de zhēn shí biàn wèi xū huǎng , qù jìng bài shì fèng shòu zào zhī wù , bú jìng fèng nà zào wù de zhǔ — zhǔ nǎi shì kě chēng sòng de , zhí dào yǒng yuǎn 。 ā men !

who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

yīn cǐ , shén rèn píng tā men fàng zòng kě xiū chǐ de qíng yù 。 tā men de nǚ rén bǎ shùn xìng de yòng chu biàn wèi nì xìng de yòng chu ;

For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature.

nán rén yě shì rú cǐ , qì le nǚ rén shùn xìng de yòng chu , yù huǒ gōng xīn , bǐ cǐ tān liàn , nán hé nán xíng kě xiū chǐ de shì , jiù zài zì jǐ shēn shàng shòu zhè wàng wéi dāng dé de bào yìng 。

Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.

tā men jì rán gù yì bú rèn shi shén , shén jiù rèn píng tā men cún xié pì de xīn , xíng nà xiē bù hé lǐ de shì ;

Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

zhuāng mǎn le gè yàng bú yì 、 xié è 、 tān lán 、 è dú ; mǎn xīn shì jí dù 、 xiōng shā 、 zhēng jìng 、 guǐ zhà 、 dú hèn ;

being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,

yòu shì chán huǐ de 、 bèi hòu shuō rén de 、 yuàn hèn shén de 、 wǔ màn rén de 、 kuáng ào de 、 zì kuā de 、 niē zào è shì de 、 wéi bèi fù mǔ de 、

backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

wú zhī de 、 bèi yuē de 、 wú qīn qíng de 、 bù lián mǐn rén de 。

without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;

tā men suī zhī dào shén pàn dìng xíng zhè yàng shì de rén shì dāng sǐ de , rán ér tā men bú dàn zì jǐ qù xíng , hái xǐ huan bié rén qù xíng 。

who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
