II SAMUELE 12:18

到第七日，孩子死了。大卫的臣仆不敢告诉他孩子死了，因他们说：「孩子还活着的时候，我们劝他，他尚且不肯听我们的话，若告诉他孩子死了，岂不更加忧伤吗？」

dào dì qī rì ， hái zi sǐ le 。 dà wèi de chén pú bù gǎn gào sù tā hái zi sǐ le ， yīn tā men shuō ：「 hái zi hái huó zhe de shí hòu ， wǒ men quàn tā ， tā shàng qiě bù kěn tīng wǒ men de huà ， ruò gào sù tā hái zi sǐ le ， qǐ bú gèng jiā yōu shāng ma ？」

Ed avvenne al settimo giorno che il fanciullo morì. Ed i servitori di Davide temevano di fargli assapere che il fanciullo era morto; perciocchè dicevano: Ecco, mentre il fanciullo era ancora in vita, noi gli parlammo, ed egli non porse orecchie al nostro dire; come dunque gli diremo noi: Il fanciullo è morto? onde egli si affliggerà.
