dà wèi zài dà wèi chéng wèi zì jǐ jiàn zào gōng diàn , yòu wèi shén de yuē guì yù bèi dì fāng , zhī dā zhàng mù 。

David made himself houses in David’s city; and he prepared a place for God’s ark, and pitched a tent for it.

:「 。」

nà shí dà wèi shuō :「 chú le lì wèi rén zhī wài , wú rén kě tái shén de yuē guì ; yīn wèi yē hé huá jiǎn xuǎn tā men tái shén de yuē guì , qiě yǒng yuǎn shì fèng tā 。」

Then David said, “No one ought to carry God’s ark but the Levites. For the LORD has chosen them to carry God’s ark, and to minister to him forever.”

dà wèi zhāo jù yǐ sè liè zhòng rén dào yē lù sā lěng , yào jiāng yē hé huá de yuē guì tái dào tā suǒ yù bèi de dì fāng 。

David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the LORD’s ark to its place, which he had prepared for it.

dà wèi yòu jù jí yà lún de zǐ sūn hé lì wèi rén 。

David gathered together the sons of Aaron and the Levites:

gē xiá zǐ sūn zhōng yǒu zú zhǎng wū liè hé tā de dì xiong yì bǎi èr shí rén 。

of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;

mǐ lā lì zǐ sūn zhōng yǒu zú zhǎng yà shuài yǎ hé tā de dì xiong èr bǎi èr shí rén 。

of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;

gé shùn zǐ sūn zhōng yǒu zú zhǎng yuē ěr hé tā de dì xiong yì bǎi sān shí rén 。

of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;

yǐ lì sā fǎn zǐ sūn zhōng yǒu zú zhǎng shì mǎ yǎ hé tā de dì xiong èr bǎi rén 。

of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;

xī bó zǐ sūn zhōng yǒu zú zhǎng yǐ liè hé tā de dì xiong bā shí rén 。

of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;

wū xuē zǐ sūn zhōng yǒu zú zhǎng yà mǐ ná dá hé tā de dì xiong yì bǎi yī shí èr rén 。

of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers one hundred twelve.

dà wèi jiāng jì sī sā dū hé yà bǐ yà tā , bìng lì wèi rén wū liè 、 yà shuài yǎ 、 yuē ěr 、 shì mǎ yǎ 、 yǐ liè 、 yà mǐ ná dá zhào lái ,

David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,

:「

duì tā men shuō :「 nǐ men shì lì wèi rén de zú zhǎng , nǐ men hé nǐ men de dì xiong yīng dāng zì jié , hǎo jiāng yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì tái dào wǒ suǒ yù bèi de dì fāng 。

and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.

。」

yīn nǐ men xiān qián méi yǒu tái zhè yuē guì , àn dìng lì qiú wèn yē hé huá — wǒ men de shén , suǒ yǐ tā xíng fá wǒ men 。」

For because you didn’t carry it at first, the LORD our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”

yú shì jì sī lì wèi rén zì jié , hǎo jiāng yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè shén de yuē guì tái shàng lái 。

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel.

lì wèi zǐ sūn jiù yòng gàng , jiān tái shén de yuē guì , shì zhào yē hé huá jiè mó xī suǒ fēn fù de 。

The children of the Levites bore God’s ark on their shoulders with its poles, as Moses commanded according to the LORD’s word.

dà wèi fēn fù lì wèi rén de zú zhǎng , pài tā men gē chàng de dì xiong yòng qín sè hé bó zuò lè , huān huān xǐ xǐ dì dà shēng gē sòng 。

David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up their voices with joy.

yú shì lì wèi rén pài yuē ěr de ér zi xī màn hé tā dì xiong zhōng bǐ lì jiā de ér zi yà sà , bìng tā men zú dì xiong mǐ lā lì zǐ sūn lǐ gǔ shā yǎ de ér zi yǐ tàn 。

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

qí cì hái yǒu tā men de dì xiong sā jiā lì yǎ 、 biàn yǎ xuē 、 shì mǐ lā mò 、 yē xiē 、 wū ní 、 yǐ lì yā 、 bǐ ná yǎ 、 mǎ xī yǎ 、 mǎ tā tí yǎ 、 yǐ lì fěi lì hù 、 mí kè ní yǎ , bìng shǒu mén de é bié · yǐ dōng hé yē lì 。

and with them their brothers of the second rank: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.

zhè yàng , pài gē chàng de xī màn 、 yà sà 、 yǐ tàn qiāo tóng bó , dà fā xiǎng shēng ;

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of bronze to sound aloud;

pài sā jiā lì yǎ 、 yǎ xuē 、 shì mǐ lā mò 、 yē xiē 、 wū ní 、 yǐ lì yā 、 mǎ xī yǎ 、 bǐ ná yǎ gǔ sè , diào yòng nǚ yīn ;

and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;

yòu pài mǎ tā tí yǎ 、 yǐ lì fěi lì hù 、 mí kè ní yǎ 、 é bié · yǐ dōng 、 yē lì 、 yà sā xī yǎ lǐng shǒu tán qín , diào yòng dì bā 。

and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.

lì wèi rén de zú zhǎng jī ná ní yǎ shì gē chàng rén de shǒu lǐng , yòu jiào xùn rén gē chàng , yīn wèi tā jīng tōng cǐ shì 。

Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the singing. He taught the singers, because he was skillful.

bǐ lì jiā 、 yǐ lì jiā ná shì yuē guì qián shǒu mén de 。

Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

jì sī shì bā ní 、 yuē shā fǎ 、 ná tǎn yè 、 yà mǎ sài 、 sā jiā lì yǎ 、 bǐ ná yà 、 yǐ lì yǐ xiè zài shén de yuē guì qián chuī hào 。 é bié · yǐ dōng hé yē xī yà yě shì yuē guì qián shǒu mén de 。

Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before God’s ark; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

yú shì , dà wèi hé yǐ sè liè de zhǎng lǎo , bìng qiān fū cháng dōu qù cóng é bié · yǐ dōng de jiā huān huān xǐ xǐ dì jiāng yē hé huá de yuē guì tái shàng lái 。

So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant up out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.

shén cì ēn yǔ tái yē hé huá yuē guì de lì wèi rén , tā men jiù xiàn shàng qī zhī gōng niú , qī zhī gōng yáng 。

When God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the LORD’s covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

dà wèi hé tái yuē guì de lì wèi rén , bìng gē chàng rén de shǒu lǐng jī ná ní yǎ , yǐ jí gē chàng de rén , dōu chuān zhe xì má bù de wài páo ; dà wèi lìng wài chuān zhe xì má bù de yǐ fú dé 。

David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the choir master with the singers; and David had an ephod of linen on him.

zhè yàng , yǐ sè liè zhòng rén huān hū chuī jiǎo 、 chuī hào 、 qiāo bó 、 gǔ sè 、 tán qín , dà fā xiǎng shēng , jiāng yē hé huá de yuē guì tái shàng lái 。

Thus all Israel brought the ark of the LORD’s covenant up with shouting, with sound of the cornet, with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.

yē hé huá de yuē guì jìn le dà wèi chéng de shí hòu , sǎo luó de nǚ ér mǐ jiǎ cóng chuāng hù lǐ guān kàn , jiàn dà wèi wáng yǒng yuè tiào wǔ , xīn lǐ jiù qīng shì tā 。

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
