我小子们哪，我将这些话写给你们，是要叫你们不犯罪。若有人犯罪，在父那里我们有一位中保，就是那义者耶稣基督。

wǒ xiǎo zi men nǎ ， wǒ jiāng zhè xiē huà xiě gěi nǐ men ， shì yào jiào nǐ men bú fàn zuì 。 ruò yǒu rén fàn zuì ， zài fù nà lǐ wǒ men yǒu yí wèi zhōng bǎo ， jiù shì nà yì zhě yē sū jī dū 。

My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.

他为我们的罪作了挽回祭，不是单为我们的罪，也是为普天下人的罪。

tā wèi wǒ men de zuì zuò le wǎn huí jì ， bú shì dān wèi wǒ men de zuì ， yě shì wèi pǔ tiān xià rén de zuì 。

And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

我们若遵守他的诫命，就晓得是认识他。

wǒ men ruò zūn shǒu tā de jiè mìng ， jiù xiǎo de shì rèn shi tā 。

This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments.

人若说「我认识他」，却不遵守他的诫命，便是说谎话的，真理也不在他心里了。

rén ruò shuō 「 wǒ rèn shi tā 」， què bù zūn shǒu tā de jiè mìng ， biàn shì shuō huǎng huà de ， zhēn lǐ yě bú zài tā xīn lǐ le 。

One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.

凡遵守主道的，爱 神的心在他里面实在是完全的。从此，我们知道我们是在主里面。

fán zūn shǒu zhǔ dào de ， ài shén de xīn zài tā lǐ miàn shí zài shì wán quán de 。 cóng cǐ ， wǒ men zhī dào wǒ men shì zài zhǔ lǐ miàn 。

But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know that we are in him:

人若说他住在主里面，就该自己照主所行的去行。

rén ruò shuō tā zhù zài zhǔ lǐ miàn ， jiù gāi zì jǐ zhào zhǔ suǒ xíng de qù xíng 。

he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.

亲爱的弟兄啊，我写给你们的，不是一条新命令，乃是你们从起初所受的旧命令；这旧命令就是你们所听见的道。

qīn ài de dì xiong a ， wǒ xiě gěi nǐ men de ， bú shì yì tiáo xīn mìng lìng ， nǎi shì nǐ men cóng qǐ chū suǒ shòu de jiù mìng lìng ； zhè jiù mìng lìng jiù shì nǐ men suǒ tīng jiàn de dào 。

Brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.

再者，我写给你们的，是一条新命令，在主是真的，在你们也是真的；因为黑暗渐渐过去，真光已经照耀。

zài zhě ， wǒ xiě gěi nǐ men de ， shì yì tiáo xīn mìng lìng ， zài zhǔ shì zhēn de ， zài nǐ men yě shì zhēn de ； yīn wèi hēi àn jiàn jiàn guò qù ， zhēn guāng yǐ jīng zhào yào 。

Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines.

人若说自己在光明中，却恨他的弟兄，他到如今还是在黑暗里。

rén ruò shuō zì jǐ zài guāng míng zhōng ， què hèn tā de dì xiong ， tā dào rú jīn hái shì zài hēi àn lǐ 。

He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.

爱弟兄的，就是住在光明中，在他并没有绊跌的缘由。

ài dì xiong de ， jiù shì zhù zài guāng míng zhōng ， zài tā bìng méi yǒu bàn diē de yuán yóu 。

He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him.

惟独恨弟兄的，是在黑暗里，且在黑暗里行，也不知道往哪里去，因为黑暗叫他眼睛瞎了。

wéi dú hèn dì xiong de ， shì zài hēi àn lǐ ， qiě zài hēi àn lǐ xíng ， yě bù zhī dào wǎng nǎ lǐ qù ， yīn wèi hēi àn jiào tā yǎn jīng xiā le 。

But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

小子们哪，我写信给你们， 因为你们的罪借着主名得了赦免。

xiǎo zi men nǎ ， wǒ xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ， yīn wèi nǐ men de zuì jiè zhe zhǔ míng dé le shè miǎn 。

I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

父老啊，我写信给你们， 因为你们认识那从起初原有的。 少年人哪，我写信给你们， 因为你们胜了那恶者。

fù lǎo a ， wǒ xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ， yīn wèi nǐ men rèn shi nà cóng qǐ chū yuán yǒu de 。 shào nián rén nǎ ， wǒ xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ， yīn wèi nǐ men shèng le nà è zhě 。

I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you know the Father.

小子们哪，我曾写信给你们， 因为你们认识父。 父老啊，我曾写信给你们， 因为你们认识那从起初原有的。 少年人哪，我曾写信给你们； 因为你们刚强， 神的道常存在你们心里； 你们也胜了那恶者。

xiǎo zi men nǎ ， wǒ céng xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ， yīn wèi nǐ men rèn shi fù 。 fù lǎo a ， wǒ céng xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ， yīn wèi nǐ men rèn shi nà cóng qǐ chū yuán yǒu de 。 shào nián rén nǎ ， wǒ céng xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ； yīn wèi nǐ men gāng qiáng ， shén de dào cháng cún zài nǐ men xīn lǐ ； nǐ men yě shèng le nà è zhě 。

I have written to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

不要爱世界和世界上的事。人若爱世界，爱父的心就不在他里面了。

bú yào ài shì jiè hé shì jiè shàng de shì 。 rén ruò ài shì jiè ， ài fù de xīn jiù bú zài tā lǐ miàn le 。

Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.

因为，凡世界上的事，就像肉体的情欲、眼目的情欲，并今生的骄傲，都不是从父来的，乃是从世界来的。

yīn wèi ， fán shì jiè shàng de shì ， jiù xiàng ròu tǐ de qíng yù 、 yǎn mù dì qíng yù ， bìng jīn shēng de jiāo ào ， dōu bú shì cóng fù lái de ， nǎi shì cóng shì jiè lái de 。

For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.

这世界和其上的情欲都要过去，惟独遵行 神旨意的，是永远常存。

zhè shì jiè hé qí shàng de qíng yù dōu yào guò qù ， wéi dú zūn xíng shén zhǐ yì de ， shì yǒng yuǎn cháng cún 。

The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.

小子们哪，如今是末时了。你们曾听见说，那敌基督的要来；现在已经有好些敌基督的出来了，从此我们就知道如今是末时了。

xiǎo zi men nǎ ， rú jīn shì mò shí le 。 nǐ men céng tīng jiàn shuō ， nà dí jī dū de yào lái ； xiàn zài yǐ jīng yǒu hǎo xiē dí jī dū de chū lái le ， cóng cǐ wǒ men jiù zhī dào rú jīn shì mò shí le 。

Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour.

他们从我们中间出去，却不是属我们的；若是属我们的，就必仍旧与我们同在；他们出去，显明都不是属我们的。

tā men cóng wǒ men zhōng jiān chū qù ， què bú shì shǔ wǒ men de ； ruò shì shǔ wǒ men de ， jiù bì réng jiù yǔ wǒ men tóng zài ； tā men chū qù ， xiǎn míng dōu bú shì shǔ wǒ men de 。

They went out from us, but they didn’t belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.

你们从那圣者受了恩膏，并且知道这一切的事 。

nǐ men cóng nà shèng zhě shòu le ēn gāo ， bìng qiě zhī dào zhè yí qiè de shì 。

You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.

我写信给你们，不是因你们不知道真理，正是因你们知道，并且知道没有虚谎是从真理出来的。

wǒ xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ， bú shì yīn nǐ men bù zhī dào zhēn lǐ ， zhèng shì yīn nǐ men zhī dào ， bìng qiě zhī dào méi yǒu xū huǎng shì cóng zhēn lǐ chū lái de 。

I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

谁是说谎话的呢？不是那不认耶稣为基督的吗？不认父与子的，这就是敌基督的。

shuí shì shuō huǎng huà de ne ？ bú shì nà bú rèn yē sū wèi jī dū de ma ？ bú rèn fù yǔ zǐ de ， zhè jiù shì dí jī dū de 。

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

凡不认子的，就没有父；认子的，连父也有了。

fán bú rèn zǐ de ， jiù méi yǒu fù ； rèn zǐ de ， lián fù yě yǒu le 。

Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.

论到你们，务要将那从起初所听见的，常存在心里。若将从起初所听见的存在心里，你们就必住在子里面，也必住在父里面。

lùn dào nǐ men ， wù yào jiāng nà cóng qǐ chū suǒ tīng jiàn de ， cháng cún zài xīn lǐ 。 ruò jiāng cóng qǐ chū suǒ tīng jiàn de cún zài xīn lǐ ， nǐ men jiù bì zhù zài zǐ lǐ miàn ， yě bì zhù zài fù lǐ miàn 。

Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.

主所应许我们的就是永生。

zhǔ suǒ yīng xǔ wǒ men de jiù shì yǒng shēng 。

This is the promise which he promised us, the eternal life.

我将这些话写给你们，是指着那引诱你们的人说的。

wǒ jiāng zhè xiē huà xiě gěi nǐ men ， shì zhǐ zhe nà yǐn yòu nǐ men de rén shuō de 。

These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.

你们从主所受的恩膏常存在你们心里，并不用人教训你们，自有主的恩膏在凡事上教训你们。这恩膏是真的，不是假的；你们要按这恩膏的教训住在主里面。

nǐ men cóng zhǔ suǒ shòu de ēn gāo cháng cún zài nǐ men xīn lǐ ， bìng bú yòng rén jiào xùn nǐ men ， zì yǒu zhǔ de ēn gāo zài fán shì shàng jiào xùn nǐ men 。 zhè ēn gāo shì zhēn de ， bú shì jiǎ de ； nǐ men yào àn zhè ēn gāo de jiào xùn zhù zài zhǔ lǐ miàn 。

As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

小子们哪，你们要住在主里面。这样，他若显现，我们就可以坦然无惧；当他来的时候，在他面前也不至于惭愧。

xiǎo zi men nǎ ， nǐ men yào zhù zài zhǔ lǐ miàn 。 zhè yàng ， tā ruò xiǎn xiàn ， wǒ men jiù kě yǐ tǎn rán wú jù ； dāng tā lái de shí hòu ， zài tā miàn qián yě bú zhì yú cán kuì 。

Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

你们若知道他是公义的，就知道凡行公义之人都是他所生的。

nǐ men ruò zhī dào tā shì gōng yì de ， jiù zhī dào fán xíng gōng yì zhī rén dōu shì tā suǒ shēng de 。

If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
