yē hé huá duì sā mǔ ěr shuō :「 wǒ jì yàn qì sǎo luó zuò yǐ sè liè de wáng , nǐ wèi tā bēi shāng yào dào jǐ shí ne ? nǐ jiāng gāo yóu shèng mǎn le jiǎo , wǒ chāi qiǎn nǐ wǎng bó lì héng rén yē xī nà lǐ qù ; yīn wèi wǒ zài tā zhòng zǐ zhī nèi , yù dìng yí gè zuò wáng de 。」

The LORD said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided a king for myself among his sons.”

sā mǔ ěr shuō :「 wǒ zěn néng qù ne ? sǎo luó ruò tīng jiàn , bì yào shā wǒ 。」 yē hé huá shuō :「 nǐ kě yǐ dài yì zhī niú dú qù , jiù shuō :『 wǒ lái shì yào xiàng yē hé huá xiàn jì 。』

Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” The LORD said, “Take a heifer with you, and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’

nǐ yào qǐng yē xī lái chī jì ròu , wǒ jiù zhǐ shì nǐ suǒ dāng xíng de shì 。 wǒ suǒ zhǐ gěi nǐ de rén , nǐ yào gāo tā 。」

Call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do. You shall anoint to me him whom I name to you.”

sā mǔ ěr jiù zhào yē hé huá de huà qù xíng 。 dào le bó lì héng , nà chéng lǐ de zhǎng lǎo dōu zhàn zhàn jīng jīng dì chū lái yíng jiē tā , wèn tā shuō :「 nǐ shì wèi píng ān lái de ma ?」

Samuel did that which the LORD spoke, and came to Bethlehem. The elders of the city came to meet him trembling, and said, “Do you come peaceably?”

tā shuō :「 wèi píng ān lái de , wǒ shì gěi yē hé huá xiàn jì 。 nǐ men dāng zì jié , lái yǔ wǒ tóng chī jì ròu 。」 sā mǔ ěr jiù shǐ yē xī hé tā zhòng zǐ zì jié , qǐng tā men lái chī jì ròu 。

He said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” He sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

tā men lái de shí hòu , sā mǔ ěr kàn jiàn yǐ lì yā , jiù xīn lǐ shuō , yē hé huá de shòu gāo zhě bì dìng zài tā miàn qián 。

When they had come, he looked at Eliab, and said, “Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him.”

yē hé huá què duì sā mǔ ěr shuō :「 bú yào kàn tā de wài mào hé tā shēn cái gāo dà , wǒ bù jiǎn xuǎn tā 。 yīn wèi , yē hé huá bú xiàng rén kàn rén : rén shì kàn wài mào ; yē hé huá shì kàn nèi xīn 。」

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

yē xī jiào yà bǐ ná dá cóng sā mǔ ěr miàn qián jīng guò , sā mǔ ěr shuō :「 yē hé huá yě bù jiǎn xuǎn tā 。」

Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. He said, “The LORD has not chosen this one, either.”

yē xī yòu jiào shā mǎ cóng sā mǔ ěr miàn qián jīng guò , sā mǔ ěr shuō :「 yē hé huá yě bù jiǎn xuǎn tā 。」

Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. He said, “The LORD has not chosen this one, either.”

yē xī jiào tā qī gè ér zi dōu cóng sā mǔ ěr miàn qián jīng guò , sā mǔ ěr shuō :「 zhè dōu bú shì yē hé huá suǒ jiǎn xuǎn de 。」

Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. Samuel said to Jesse, “The LORD has not chosen these.”

sā mǔ ěr duì yē xī shuō :「 nǐ de ér zi dōu zài zhè lǐ ma ?」 tā huí dá shuō :「 hái yǒu gè xiǎo de , xiàn zài fàng yáng 。」 sā mǔ ěr duì yē xī shuō :「 nǐ dǎ fā rén qù jiào tā lái ; tā ruò bù lái , wǒ men bì bú zuò xí 。」

Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all your children here?” He said, “There remains yet the youngest. Behold, he is keeping the sheep.” Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and get him, for we will not sit down until he comes here.”

yē xī jiù dǎ fā rén qù jiào le tā lái 。 tā miàn sè guāng hóng , shuāng mù qīng xiù , róng mào jùn měi 。 yē hé huá shuō :「 zhè jiù shì tā , nǐ qǐ lái gāo tā 。」

He sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with a handsome face and good appearance. The LORD said, “Arise! Anoint him, for this is he.”

sā mǔ ěr jiù yòng jiǎo lǐ de gāo yóu , zài tā zhū xiōng zhōng gāo le tā 。 cóng zhè rì qǐ , yē hé huá de líng jiù dà dà gǎn dòng dà wèi 。 sā mǔ ěr qǐ shēn huí lā mǎ qù le 。

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the middle of his brothers. Then the LORD’s Spirit came mightily on David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.

yē hé huá de líng lí kāi sǎo luó , yǒu è mó cóng yē hé huá nà lǐ lái rǎo luàn tā 。

Now the LORD’s Spirit departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

sǎo luó de chén pú duì tā shuō :「 xiàn zài yǒu è mó cóng shén nà lǐ lái rǎo luàn nǐ 。

Saul’s servants said to him, “See now, an evil spirit from God troubles you.

使。」

wǒ men de zhǔ kě yǐ fēn fù miàn qián de chén pú , zhǎo yí gè shàn yú tán qín de lái , děng shén nà lǐ lái de è mó lín dào nǐ shēn shàng de shí hòu , shǐ tā yòng shǒu tán qín , nǐ jiù hǎo le 。」

Let our lord now command your servants who are in front of you to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. Then when the evil spirit from God is on you, he will play with his hand, and you will be well.”

sǎo luó duì chén pú shuō :「 nǐ men kě yǐ wéi wǒ zhǎo yí gè shàn yú tán qín de , dài dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái 。」

Saul said to his servants, “Provide me now a man who can play well, and bring him to me.”

qí zhōng yǒu yí gè shào nián rén shuō :「 wǒ céng jiàn bó lì héng rén yē xī de yí gè ér zi shàn yú tán qín , shì dà yǒu yǒng gǎn de zhàn shì , shuō huà hé yí , róng mào jùn měi , yē hé huá yě yǔ tā tóng zài 。」

Then one of the young men answered and said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him.”

yú shì sǎo luó chāi qiǎn shǐ zhě qù jiàn yē xī , shuō :「 qǐng nǐ dǎ fā nǐ fàng yáng de ér zi dà wèi dào wǒ zhè lǐ lái 。」

Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, “Send me David your son, who is with the sheep.”

yē xī jiù bǎ jǐ gè bǐng hé yì pí dài jiǔ , bìng yì zhī shān yáng gāo , dōu tuó zài lǘ shàng , jiāo gěi tā ér zi dà wèi , sòng yǔ sǎo luó 。

Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a container of wine, and a young goat, and sent them by David his son to Saul.

dà wèi dào le sǎo luó nà lǐ , jiù shì lì zài sǎo luó miàn qián 。 sǎo luó shèn xǐ ài tā , tā jiù zuò le sǎo luó ná bīng qì de rén 。

David came to Saul and stood before him. He loved him greatly; and he became his armor bearer.

sǎo luó chāi qiǎn rén qù jiàn yē xī , shuō :「 qiú nǐ róng dà wèi shì lì zài wǒ miàn qián , yīn wèi tā zài wǒ yǎn qián méng le ēn 。」

Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.”

便

cóng shén nà lǐ lái de è mó lín dào sǎo luó shēn shàng de shí hòu , dà wèi jiù ná qín , yòng shǒu ér tán , sǎo luó biàn shū chàng shuǎng kuài , è mó lí le tā 。

When the spirit from God was on Saul, David took the harp and played with his hand; so Saul was refreshed and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
