dà wèi de ér zi suǒ luó mén guó wèi jiān gù ; yē hé huá — tā de shén yǔ tā tóng zài , shǐ tā shèn wéi zūn dà 。

Solomon the son of David was firmly established in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and made him exceedingly great.

suǒ luó mén fēn fù yǐ sè liè zhòng rén , jiù shì qiān fū cháng 、 bǎi fū zhǎng 、 shěn pàn guān 、 shǒu lǐng yǔ zú zhǎng dōu lái 。

Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers’ households.

suǒ luó mén hé huì zhòng dōu wǎng jī biàn de qiū tán qù , yīn nà lǐ yǒu shén de huì mù , jiù shì yē hé huá pú rén mó xī zài kuàng yě suǒ zhì zào de 。

Then Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for God’s Tent of Meeting was there, which the LORD’s servant Moses had made in the wilderness.

But David had brought God’s ark up from Kiriath Jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

bìng qiě hù ěr de sūn zi 、 wū lì de ér zi bǐ sā liè suǒ zào de tóng tán yě zài jī biàn yē hé huá de huì mù qián 。 suǒ luó mén hé huì zhòng dōu jiù jìn tán qián 。

Moreover the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made was there before the LORD’s tabernacle; and Solomon and the assembly were seeking counsel there.

suǒ luó mén shàng dào yē hé huá miàn qián huì mù de tóng tán nà lǐ , xiàn yì qiān xī shēng wèi fán jì 。

Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the LORD, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.

That night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for what you want me to give you.”

suǒ luó mén duì shén shuō :「 nǐ céng xiàng wǒ fù dà wèi dà shī cí ài , shǐ wǒ jiē xù tā zuò wáng 。

Solomon said to God, “You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

yē hé huá shén a , xiàn zài qiú nǐ chéng jiù xiàng wǒ fù dà wèi suǒ yīng xǔ de huà ; yīn nǐ lì wǒ zuò zhè mín de wáng , tā men rú tóng dì shàng chén shā nà yàng duō 。

Now, LORD God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

?」

qiú nǐ cì wǒ zhì huì cōng ming , wǒ hǎo zài zhè mín qián chū rù ; bù rán , shuí néng pàn duàn zhè zhòng duō de mín ne ?」

Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of yours?”

:「寿

shén duì suǒ luó mén shuō :「 wǒ yǐ lì nǐ zuò wǒ mín de wáng 。 nǐ jì yǒu zhè xīn yì , bìng bù qiú zī cái 、 fēng fù 、 zūn róng , yě bù qiú miè jué nà hèn nǐ zhī rén de xìng mìng , yòu bù qiú dà shòu shù , zhī qiú zhì huì cōng ming hǎo pàn duàn wǒ de mín ;

God said to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor yet have you asked for long life; but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king,

。」

wǒ bì cì nǐ zhì huì cōng ming , yě bì cì nǐ zī cái 、 fēng fù 、 zūn róng 。 zài nǐ yǐ qián de liè wáng dū méi yǒu zhè yàng , zài nǐ yǐ hòu yě bì méi yǒu zhè yàng de 。」

therefore wisdom and knowledge is granted to you. I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you, and none after you will have.”

yú shì , suǒ luó mén cóng jī biàn qiū tán huì mù qián huí dào yē lù sā lěng , zhì lǐ yǐ sè liè rén 。

So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.

suǒ luó mén jù jí zhàn chē mǎ bīng , yǒu zhàn chē yì qiān sì bǎi liàng , mǎ bīng yí wàn èr qiān míng , ān zhì zài tún chē de chéng yì hé yē lù sā lěng , jiù shì wáng nà lǐ 。

Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

使

wáng zài yē lù sā lěng shǐ jīn yín duō rú shí tou , xiāng bǎi mù duō rú gāo yuán de sāng shù 。

The king made silver and gold to be as common as stones in Jerusalem, and he made cedars to be as common as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.

suǒ luó mén de mǎ shì cóng āi jí dài lái de , shì wáng de shāng rén yì qún yi qún àn zhe dìng jià mǎi lái de 。

The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt and from Kue. The king’s merchants purchased them from Kue.

tā men cóng āi jí mǎi lái de chē , měi liàng jià yín liù bǎi shè kè lè , mǎ měi pǐ yì bǎi wǔ shí shè kè lè 。 hè rén zhū wáng hé yà lán zhū wáng suǒ mǎi de chē mǎ , yě shì àn zhè jià zhí jīng tā men shǒu mǎi lái de 。

They imported from Egypt then exported a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver and a horse for one hundred fifty. They also exported them to the Hittite kings and the Syrian kings.
