yē hé huá yào yòng xuán fēng jiē yǐ lì yà shēng tiān de shí hòu , yǐ lì yà yǔ yǐ lì shā cóng jí jiǎ qián wǎng 。

When the LORD was about to take Elijah up by a whirlwind into heaven, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

yǐ lì yà duì yǐ lì shā shuō :「 yē hé huá chà wǒ wǎng bó tè lì qù , nǐ kě yǐ zài zhè lǐ děng hòu 。」 yǐ lì shā shuō :「 wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒng shēng de yē hé huá , yòu gǎn zài nǐ miàn qián qǐ shì , wǒ bì bù lí kāi nǐ 。」 yú shì èr rén xià dào bó tè lì 。

Elijah said to Elisha, “Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

zhù bó tè lì de xiān zhī mén tú chū lái jiàn yǐ lì shā , duì tā shuō :「 yē hé huá jīn rì yào jiē nǐ de shī fu lí kāi nǐ , nǐ zhī dào bù zhī dào ?」 tā shuō :「 wǒ zhī dào , nǐ men bú yào zuò shēng 。」

The sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?” He said, “Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

yǐ lì yà duì yǐ lì shā shuō :「 yē hé huá chāi qiǎn wǒ wǎng yē lì gē qù , nǐ kě yǐ zài zhè lǐ děng hòu 。」 yǐ lì shā shuō :「 wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒng shēng de yē hé huá , yòu gǎn zài nǐ miàn qián qǐ shì , wǒ bì bù lí kāi nǐ 。」 yú shì èr rén dào le yē lì gē 。

Elijah said to him, “Elisha, please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to Jericho.” He said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.

zhù yē lì gē de xiān zhī mén tú jiù jìn yǐ lì shā , duì tā shuō :「 yē hé huá jīn rì yào jiē nǐ de shī fu lí kāi nǐ , nǐ zhī dào bù zhī dào ?」 tā shuō :「 wǒ zhī dào , nǐ men bú yào zuò shēng 。」

The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said to him, “Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?” He answered, “Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

yǐ lì yà duì yǐ lì shā shuō :「 yē hé huá chāi qiǎn wǒ wǎng yuē dàn hé qù , nǐ kě yǐ zài zhè lǐ děng hòu 。」 yǐ lì shā shuō :「 wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒng shēng de yē hé huá , yòu gǎn zài nǐ miàn qián qǐ shì , wǒ bì bù lí kāi nǐ 。」 yú shì èr rén yì tóng qián wǎng 。

Elijah said to him, “Please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan.” He said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” Then they both went on.

yǒu xiān zhī mén tú qù le wǔ shí rén , yuǎn yuǎn dì zhàn zài tā men duì miàn ; èr rén zài yuē dàn hé biān zhàn zhù 。

Fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite them at a distance; and they both stood by the Jordan.

yǐ lì yà jiāng zì jǐ de wài yī juǎn qǐ lái , yòng yǐ dǎ shuǐ , shuǐ jiù zuǒ yòu fēn kāi , èr rén zǒu gān dì ér guò 。

Elijah took his mantle, and rolled it up, and struck the waters; and they were divided here and there, so that they both went over on dry ground.

guò qù zhī hòu , yǐ lì yà duì yǐ lì shā shuō :「 wǒ wèi céng bèi jiē qù lí kāi nǐ , nǐ yào wǒ wèi nǐ zuò shén me , zhī guǎn qiú wǒ 。」 yǐ lì shā shuō :「 yuàn gǎn dòng nǐ de líng jiā bèi dì gǎn dòng wǒ 。」

When they had gone over, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be on me.”

yǐ lì yà shuō :「 nǐ suǒ qiú de nán dé 。 suī rán rú cǐ , wǒ bèi jiē qù lí kāi nǐ de shí hòu , nǐ ruò kàn jiàn wǒ , jiù bì dé zhe ; bù rán , bì dé bù zhe le 。」

He said, “You have asked a hard thing. If you see me when I am taken from you, it will be so for you; but if not, it will not be so.”

tā men zhèng zǒu zhe shuō huà , hū yǒu huǒ chē huǒ mǎ jiāng èr rén gé kāi , yǐ lì yà jiù chéng xuán fēng shēng tiān qù le 。

As they continued on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

yǐ lì shā kàn jiàn , jiù hū jiào shuō :「 wǒ fù a ! wǒ fù a ! yǐ sè liè de zhàn chē mǎ bīng a !」 yǐ hòu bú zài jiàn tā le 。 yú shì yǐ lì shā bǎ zì jǐ de yī fu sī wèi liǎng piàn 。

Elisha saw it, and he cried, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” He saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

tā shí qǐ yǐ lì yà shēn shàng diào xià lái de wài yī , huí qù zhàn zài yuē dàn hé biān 。

He also took up Elijah’s mantle that fell from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.

tā yòng yǐ lì yà shēn shàng diào xià lái de wài yī dǎ shuǐ , shuō :「 yē hé huá — yǐ lì yà de shén zài nǎ lǐ ne ?」 dǎ shuǐ zhī hòu , shuǐ yě zuǒ yòu fēn kāi , yǐ lì shā jiù guò lái le 。

He took Elijah’s mantle that fell from him, and struck the waters, and said, “Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” When he also had struck the waters, they were divided apart, and Elisha went over.

zhù yē lì gē de xiān zhī mén tú cóng duì miàn kàn jiàn tā , jiù shuō :「 gǎn dòng yǐ lì yà de líng gǎn dòng yǐ lì shā le 。」 tā men jiù lái yíng jiē tā , zài tā miàn qián fǔ fú yú dì ,

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

duì tā shuō :「 pú rén men zhè lǐ yǒu wǔ shí gè zhuàng shì , qiú nǐ róng tā men qù xún zhǎo nǐ shī fu , huò zhě yē hé huá de líng jiāng tā tí qǐ lái , tóu zài mǒu shān mǒu gǔ 。」 yǐ lì shā shuō :「 nǐ men bú bì dǎ fā rén qù 。」

They said to him, “See now, there are with your servants fifty strong men. Please let them go and seek your master. Perhaps the LORD’s Spirit has taken him up, and put him on some mountain or into some valley.” He said, “Don’t send them.”

tā men zài sān cuī cù tā , tā nán yǐ tuī cí , jiù shuō :「 nǐ men dǎ fā rén qù ba !」 tā men biàn dǎ fā wǔ shí rén qù , xún zhǎo le sān tiān , yě méi yǒu zhǎo zhe 。

When they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, “Send them.” Therefore they sent fifty men; and they searched for three days, but didn’t find him.

yǐ lì shā réng rán zài yē lì gē děng hòu tā men huí dào tā nà lǐ ; tā duì tā men shuō :「 wǒ qǐ méi yǒu gào sù nǐ men bú bì qù ma ?」

They came back to him while he stayed at Jericho; and he said to them, “Didn’t I tell you, ‘Don’t go’?”

yē lì gē chéng de rén duì yǐ lì shā shuō :「 zhè chéng de dì shì měi hǎo , wǒ zhǔ kàn jiàn le ; zhǐ shì shuǐ è liè , tǔ chǎn bù shú ér luò 。」

The men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold, please, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is barren.”

yǐ lì shā shuō :「 nǐ men ná yí gè xīn píng lái , zhuāng yán gěi wǒ 」; tā men jiù ná lái gěi tā 。

He said, “Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it.” Then they brought it to him.

:「:『使使。』」

tā chū dào shuǐ yuán , jiāng yán dǎo zài shuǐ zhōng , shuō :「 yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō :『 wǒ zhì hǎo le zhè shuǐ , cóng cǐ bì bú zài shǐ rén sǐ , yě bú zài shǐ dì tǔ bù shēng chǎn 。』」

He went out to the spring of the waters, and threw salt into it, and said, “The LORD says, ‘I have healed these waters. There shall not be from there any more death or barren wasteland.’”

yú shì nà shuǐ zhì hǎo le , zhí dào jīn rì , zhèng rú yǐ lì shā suǒ shuō de 。

So the waters were healed to this day, according to Elisha’s word which he spoke.

yǐ lì shā cóng nà lǐ shàng bó tè lì qù , zhèng shàng qù de shí hòu , yǒu xiē tóng zǐ cóng chéng lǐ chū lái , xì xiào tā shuō :「 tū tóu de shàng qù ba ! tū tóu de shàng qù ba !」

He went up from there to Bethel. As he was going up by the way, some youths came out of the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldy! Go up, you baldy!”

tā huí tóu kàn jiàn , jiù fèng yē hé huá de míng zhòu zǔ tā men 。 yú shì yǒu liǎng zhī mǔ xióng cóng lín zhōng chū lái , sī liè tā men zhōng jiān sì shí èr gè tóng zǐ 。

He looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the LORD’s name. Then two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of those youths.

yǐ lì shā cóng bó tè lì shàng jiā mì shān , yòu cóng jiā mì shān huí dào sā mǎ lì yà 。

He went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.
