先知门徒对以利沙说：「看哪，我们同你所住的地方过于窄小，

xiān zhī mén tú duì yǐ lì shā shuō ：「 kàn nǎ ， wǒ men tóng nǐ suǒ zhù de dì fāng guò yú zhǎi xiǎo ，

The sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we live and meet with you is too small for us.

求你容我们往约旦河去，各人从那里取一根木料建造房屋居住。」他说：「你们去吧！」

qiú nǐ róng wǒ men wǎng yuē dàn hé qù ， gè rén cóng nà lǐ qǔ yì gēn mù liào jiàn zào fáng wū jū zhù 。」 tā shuō ：「 nǐ men qù ba ！」

Please let us go to the Jordan, and each man take a beam from there, and let’s make us a place there, where we may live.” He answered, “Go!”

有一人说：「求你与仆人同去。」回答说：「我可以去。」

yǒu yì rén shuō ：「 qiú nǐ yǔ pú rén tóng qù 。」 huí dá shuō ：「 wǒ kě yǐ qù 。」

One said, “Please be pleased to go with your servants.” He answered, “I will go.”

于是以利沙与他们同去。到了约旦河，就砍伐树木。

yú shì yǐ lì shā yǔ tā men tóng qù 。 dào le yuē dàn hé ， jiù kǎn fá shù mù 。

So he went with them. When they came to the Jordan, they cut down wood.

有一人砍树的时候，斧头掉在水里，他就呼叫说：「哀哉！我主啊，这斧子是借的。」

yǒu yì rén kǎn shù de shí hòu ， fǔ tóu diào zài shuǐ lǐ ， tā jiù hū jiào shuō ：「 āi zāi ！ wǒ zhǔ a ， zhè fǔ zǐ shì jiè de 。」

But as one was cutting down a tree, the ax head fell into the water. Then he cried out and said, “Alas, my master! For it was borrowed.”

神人问说：「掉在哪里了？」他将那地方指给以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根木头，抛在水里，斧头就漂上来了。

shén rén wèn shuō ：「 diào zài nǎ lǐ le ？」 tā jiāng nà dì fāng zhǐ gěi yǐ lì shā kàn 。 yǐ lì shā kǎn le yì gēn mù tou ， pāo zài shuǐ lǐ ， fǔ tóu jiù piāo shàng lái le 。

The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” He showed him the place. He cut down a stick, threw it in there, and made the iron float.

以利沙说：「拿起来吧！」那人就伸手拿起来了。

yǐ lì shā shuō ：「 ná qǐ lái ba ！」 nà rén jiù shēn shǒu ná qǐ lái le 。

He said, “Take it.” So he put out his hand and took it.

亚兰王与以色列人争战，和他的臣仆商议说：「我要在某处某处安营。」

yà lán wáng yǔ yǐ sè liè rén zhēng zhàn ， hé tā de chén pú shāng yì shuō ：「 wǒ yào zài mǒu chù mǒu chù ān yíng 。」

Now the king of Syria was at war against Israel; and he took counsel with his servants, saying, “My camp will be in such and such a place.”

神人打发人去见以色列王，说：「你要谨慎，不要从某处经过，因为亚兰人从那里下来了。」

shén rén dǎ fā rén qù jiàn yǐ sè liè wáng ， shuō ：「 nǐ yào jǐn shèn ， bú yào cóng mǒu chù jīng guò ， yīn wèi yà lán rén cóng nà lǐ xià lái le 。」

The man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, “Beware that you not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there.”

以色列王差人去窥探神人所告诉所警戒他去的地方，就防备未受其害，不止一两次。

yǐ sè liè wáng chà rén qù kuī tàn shén rén suǒ gào sù suǒ jǐng jiè tā qù de dì fāng ， jiù fáng bèi wèi shòu qí hài ， bù zhǐ yì liǎng cì 。

The king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of; and he saved himself there, not once or twice.

亚兰王因这事心里惊疑，召了臣仆来，对他们说：「我们这里有谁帮助以色列王，你们不指给我吗？」

yà lán wáng yīn zhè shì xīn lǐ jīng yí ， zhào le chén pú lái ， duì tā men shuō ：「 wǒ men zhè lǐ yǒu shuí bāng zhù yǐ sè liè wáng ， nǐ men bù zhǐ gěi wǒ ma ？」

The king of Syria’s heart was very troubled about this. He called his servants, and said to them, “Won’t you show me which of us is for the king of Israel?”

有一个臣仆说：「我主，我王！无人帮助他，只有以色列中的先知以利沙，将王在卧房所说的话告诉以色列王了。」

yǒu yí gè chén pú shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ ， wǒ wáng ！ wú rén bāng zhù tā ， zhǐ yǒu yǐ sè liè zhōng de xiān zhī yǐ lì shā ， jiāng wáng zài wò fáng suǒ shuō de huà gào sù yǐ sè liè wáng le 。」

One of his servants said, “No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

王说：「你们去探他在哪里，我好打发人去捉拿他。」有人告诉王说：「他在多坍。」

wáng shuō ：「 nǐ men qù tàn tā zài nǎ lǐ ， wǒ hǎo dǎ fā rén qù zhuō ná tā 。」 yǒu rén gào sù wáng shuō ：「 tā zài duō tān 。」

He said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.” He was told, “Behold, he is in Dothan.”

王就打发车马和大军往那里去，夜间到了，围困那城。

wáng jiù dǎ fā chē mǎ hé dà jūn wǎng nà lǐ qù ， yè jiān dào le ， wéi kùn nà chéng 。

Therefore he sent horses, chariots, and a great army there. They came by night and surrounded the city.

神人的仆人清早起来出去，看见车马军兵围困了城。仆人对神人说：「哀哉！我主啊，我们怎样行才好呢？」

shén rén de pú rén qīng zǎo qǐ lái chū qù ， kàn jiàn chē mǎ jūn bīng wéi kùn le chéng 。 pú rén duì shén rén shuō ：「 āi zāi ！ wǒ zhǔ a ， wǒ men zěn yàng xíng cái hǎo ne ？」

When the servant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was around the city. His servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

神人说：「不要惧怕！与我们同在的比与他们同在的更多。」

shén rén shuō ：「 bú yào jù pà ！ yǔ wǒ men tóng zài de bǐ yǔ tā men tóng zài de gèng duō 。」

He answered, “Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

以利沙祷告说：「耶和华啊，求你开这少年人的眼目，使他能看见。」耶和华开他的眼目，他就看见满山有火车火马围绕以利沙。

yǐ lì shā dǎo gào shuō ：「 yē hé huá a ， qiú nǐ kāi zhè shào nián rén de yǎn mù ， shǐ tā néng kàn jiàn 。」 yē hé huá kāi tā de yǎn mù ， tā jiù kàn jiàn mǎn shān yǒu huǒ chē huǒ mǎ wéi rào yǐ lì shā 。

Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, please open his eyes, that he may see.” the LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha.

敌人下到以利沙那里，以利沙祷告耶和华说：「求你使这些人的眼目昏迷。」耶和华就照以利沙的话，使他们的眼目昏迷。

dí rén xià dào yǐ lì shā nà lǐ ， yǐ lì shā dǎo gào yē hé huá shuō ：「 qiú nǐ shǐ zhè xiē rén de yǎn mù hūn mí 。」 yē hé huá jiù zhào yǐ lì shā de huà ， shǐ tā men de yǎn mù hūn mí 。

When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, “Please strike this people with blindness.” He struck them with blindness according to Elisha’s word.

以利沙对他们说：「这不是那道，也不是那城；你们跟我去，我必领你们到所寻找的人那里。」于是领他们到了撒马利亚。

yǐ lì shā duì tā men shuō ：「 zhè bú shì nà dào ， yě bú shì nà chéng ； nǐ men gēn wǒ qù ， wǒ bì lǐng nǐ men dào suǒ xún zhǎo de rén nà lǐ 。」 yú shì lǐng tā men dào le sā mǎ lì yà 。

Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, neither is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” He led them to Samaria.

他们进了撒马利亚，以利沙祷告说：「耶和华啊，求你开这些人的眼目，使他们能看见。」耶和华开他们的眼目，他们就看见了，不料，是在撒马利亚的城中。

tā men jìn le sā mǎ lì yà ， yǐ lì shā dǎo gào shuō ：「 yē hé huá a ， qiú nǐ kāi zhè xiē rén de yǎn mù ， shǐ tā men néng kàn jiàn 。」 yē hé huá kāi tā men de yǎn mù ， tā men jiù kàn jiàn le ， bú liào ， shì zài sā mǎ lì yà de chéng zhōng 。

When they had come into Samaria, Elisha said, “LORD, open these men’s eyes, that they may see.” The LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and behold, they were in the middle of Samaria.

以色列王见了他们，就问以利沙说：「我父啊，我可以击杀他们吗？」

yǐ sè liè wáng jiàn le tā men ， jiù wèn yǐ lì shā shuō ：「 wǒ fù a ， wǒ kě yǐ jī shā tā men ma ？」

The king of Israel said to Elisha, when he saw them, “My father, shall I strike them? Shall I strike them?”

回答说：「不可击杀他们！就是你用刀用弓掳来的，岂可击杀他们吗 ？当在他们面前设摆饮食，使他们吃喝回到他们的主人那里。」

huí dá shuō ：「 bù kě jī shā tā men ！ jiù shì nǐ yòng dāo yòng gōng lǔ lái de ， qǐ kě jī shā tā men ma ？ dāng zài tā men miàn qián shè bǎi yǐn shí ， shǐ tā men chī hē huí dào tā men de zhǔ rén nà lǐ 。」

He answered, “You shall not strike them. Would you strike those whom you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, then go to their master.”

王就为他们预备了许多食物；他们吃喝完了，打发他们回到他们主人那里。从此，亚兰军不再犯以色列境了。

wáng jiù wèi tā men yù bèi le xǔ duō shí wù ； tā men chī hē wán le ， dǎ fā tā men huí dào tā men zhǔ rén nà lǐ 。 cóng cǐ ， yà lán jūn bú zài fàn yǐ sè liè jìng le 。

He prepared a great feast for them. After they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria stopped raiding the land of Israel.

此后，亚兰王便·哈达聚集他的全军，上来围困撒马利亚。

cǐ hòu ， yà lán wáng biàn · hǎ dá jù jí tā de quán jūn ， shàng lái wéi kùn sā mǎ lì yà 。

After this, Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria.

于是撒马利亚被围困，有饥荒，甚至一个驴头值银八十舍客勒，二升鸽子粪值银五舍客勒。

yú shì sā mǎ lì yà bèi wéi kùn ， yǒu jī huāng ， shèn zhì yí gè lǘ tóu zhí yín bā shí shè kè lè ， èr shēng gē zi fèn zhí yín wǔ shè kè lè 。

There was a great famine in Samaria. Behold, they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a kab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.

一日，以色列王在城上经过，有一个妇人向他呼叫说：「我主，我王啊！求你帮助。」

yí rì ， yǐ sè liè wáng zài chéng shàng jīng guò ， yǒu yí gè fù rén xiàng tā hū jiào shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ ， wǒ wáng a ！ qiú nǐ bāng zhù 。」

As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, saying, “Help, my lord, O king!”

王说：「耶和华不帮助你，我从何处帮助你？是从禾场，是从酒榨呢？」

wáng shuō ：「 yē hé huá bù bāng zhù nǐ ， wǒ cóng hé chù bāng zhù nǐ ？ shì cóng hé chǎng ， shì cóng jiǔ zhà ne ？」

He said, “If the LORD doesn’t help you, where could I get help for you? From the threshing floor, or from the wine press?”

王问妇人说：「你有什么苦处？」她回答说：「这妇人对我说：『将你的儿子取来，我们今日可以吃，明日可以吃我的儿子。』

wáng wèn fù rén shuō ：「 nǐ yǒu shén me kǔ chù ？」 tā huí dá shuō ：「 zhè fù rén duì wǒ shuō ：『 jiāng nǐ de ér zi qǔ lái ， wǒ men jīn rì kě yǐ chī ， míng rì kě yǐ chī wǒ de ér zi 。』

Then the king asked her, “What is your problem?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’

我们就煮了我的儿子吃了。次日我对她说：『要将你的儿子取来，我们可以吃。』她却将她的儿子藏起来了。」

wǒ men jiù zhǔ le wǒ de ér zi chī le 。 cì rì wǒ duì tā shuō ：『 yào jiāng nǐ de ér zi qǔ lái ， wǒ men kě yǐ chī 。』 tā què jiāng tā de ér zi cáng qǐ lái le 。」

So we boiled my son and ate him; and I said to her on the next day, ‘Give up your son, that we may eat him;’ and she has hidden her son.”

王听见妇人的话，就撕裂衣服；（王在城上经过）百姓看见王贴身穿着麻衣。

wáng tīng jiàn fù rén de huà ， jiù sī liè yī fu ；（ wáng zài chéng shàng jīng guò ） bǎi xìng kàn jiàn wáng tiē shēn chuān zhe má yī 。

When the king heard the words of the woman, he tore his clothes. Now he was passing by on the wall, and the people looked, and behold, he had sackcloth underneath on his body.

王说：「我今日若容沙法的儿子以利沙的头仍在他项上，愿 神重重地降罚与我！」

wáng shuō ：「 wǒ jīn rì ruò róng shā fǎ de ér zi yǐ lì shā de tóu réng zài tā xiàng shàng ， yuàn shén chóng chóng dì jiàng fá yǔ wǒ ！」

Then he said, “God do so to me, and more also, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat stays on him today.”

那时，以利沙正坐在家中，长老也与他同坐。王打发一个伺候他的人去；他还没有到，以利沙对长老说：「你们看这凶手之子，打发人来斩我的头；你们看着使者来到，就关上门，用门将他推出去。在他后头不是有他主人脚步的响声吗？」

nà shí ， yǐ lì shā zhèng zuò zài jiā zhōng ， zhǎng lǎo yě yǔ tā tóng zuò 。 wáng dǎ fā yí gè cì hou tā de rén qù ； tā hái méi yǒu dào ， yǐ lì shā duì zhǎng lǎo shuō ：「 nǐ men kàn zhè xiōng shǒu zhī zǐ ， dǎ fā rén lái zhǎn wǒ de tóu ； nǐ men kàn zhe shǐ zhě lái dào ， jiù guān shàng mén ， yòng mén jiàng tā tuī chū qù 。 zài tā hòu tou bú shì yǒu tā zhǔ rén jiǎo bù de xiǎng shēng ma ？」

But Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. Then the king sent a man from before him; but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, “Do you see how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? Behold, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold the door shut against him. Isn’t the sound of his master’s feet behind him?”

正说话的时候，使者来到，王也到了，说：「这灾祸是从耶和华那里来的，我何必再仰望耶和华呢？」

zhèng shuō huà de shí hòu ， shǐ zhě lái dào ， wáng yě dào le ， shuō ：「 zhè zāi huò shì cóng yē hé huá nà lǐ lái de ， wǒ hé bì zài yǎng wàng yē hé huá ne ？」

While he was still talking with them, behold, the messenger came down to him. Then he said, “Behold, this evil is from the LORD. Why should I wait for the LORD any longer?”
