亚希多弗又对押沙龙说：「求你准我挑选一万二千人，今夜我就起身追赶大卫，

yà xī duō fú yòu duì yā shā lóng shuō ：「 qiú nǐ zhǔn wǒ tiāo xuǎn yí wàn èr qiān rén ， jīn yè wǒ jiù qǐ shēn zhuī gǎn dà wèi ，

Moreover Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Let me now choose twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David tonight.

趁他疲乏手软，我忽然追上他，使他惊惶；跟随他的民必都逃跑，我就单杀王一人，

chèn tā pí fá shǒu ruǎn ， wǒ hū rán zhuī shàng tā ， shǐ tā jīng huáng ； gēn suí tā de mín bì dōu táo pǎo ， wǒ jiù dān shā wáng yì rén ，

I will come on him while he is weary and exhausted, and will make him afraid. All the people who are with him will flee. I will strike the king only,

使众民都归顺你。你所寻找的人既然死了，众民就如已经归顺你；这样，也都平安无事了。」

shǐ zhòng mín dōu guī shùn nǐ 。 nǐ suǒ xún zhǎo de rén jì rán sǐ le ， zhòng mín jiù rú yǐ jīng guī shùn nǐ ； zhè yàng ， yě dōu píng ān wú shì le 。」

and I will bring back all the people to you. The man whom you seek is as if all returned. All the people shall be in peace.”

押沙龙和以色列的长老都以这话为美。

yā shā lóng hé yǐ sè liè de zhǎng lǎo dōu yǐ zhè huà wèi měi 。

The saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.

押沙龙说：「要召亚基人户筛来，我们也要听他怎样说。」

yā shā lóng shuō ：「 yào zhào yà jī rén hù shāi lái ， wǒ men yě yào tīng tā zěn yàng shuō 。」

Then Absalom said, “Now call Hushai the Archite also, and let’s hear likewise what he says.”

户筛到了押沙龙面前，押沙龙向他说：「亚希多弗是如此如此说的，我们照着他的话行可以不可以？若不可，你就说吧！」

hù shāi dào le yā shā lóng miàn qián ， yā shā lóng xiàng tā shuō ：「 yà xī duō fú shì rú cǐ rú cǐ shuō de ， wǒ men zhào zhe tā de huà xíng kě yǐ bù kě yǐ ？ ruò bù kě ， nǐ jiù shuō ba ！」

When Hushai had come to Absalom, Absalom spoke to him, saying, “Ahithophel has spoken like this. Shall we do what he says? If not, speak up.”

户筛对押沙龙说：「亚希多弗这次所定的谋不善。」

hù shāi duì yā shā lóng shuō ：「 yà xī duō fú zhè cì suǒ dìng de móu bú shàn 。」

Hushai said to Absalom, “The counsel that Ahithophel has given this time is not good.”

户筛又说：「你知道，你父亲和跟随他的人都是勇士，现在他们心里恼怒，如同田野丢崽子的母熊一般，而且你父亲是个战士，必不和民一同住宿。

hù shāi yòu shuō ：「 nǐ zhī dào ， nǐ fù qīn hé gēn suí tā de rén dōu shì yǒng shì ， xiàn zài tā men xīn lǐ nǎo nù ， rú tóng tián yě diū zǎi zǐ de mǔ xióng yì bān ， ér qiě nǐ fù qīn shì gè zhàn shì ， bì bù hé mín yì tóng zhù sù 。

Hushai said moreover, “You know your father and his men, that they are mighty men, and they are fierce in their minds, like a bear robbed of her cubs in the field. Your father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.

他现今或藏在坑中或在别处，若有人首先被杀，凡听见的必说：『跟随押沙龙的民被杀了。』

tā xiàn jīn huò cáng zài kēng zhōng huò zài bié chù ， ruò yǒu rén shǒu xiān bèi shā ， fán tīng jiàn de bì shuō ：『 gēn suí yā shā lóng de mín bèi shā le 。』

Behold, he is now hidden in some pit, or in some other place. It will happen, when some of them have fallen at the first, that whoever hears it will say, ‘There is a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom!’

虽有人胆大如狮子，他的心也必消化；因为以色列人都知道你父亲是英雄，跟随他的人也都是勇士。

suī yǒu rén dǎn dà rú shī zi ， tā de xīn yě bì xiāo huà ； yīn wèi yǐ sè liè rén dōu zhī dào nǐ fù qīn shì yīng xióng ， gēn suí tā de rén yě dōu shì yǒng shì 。

Even he who is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, will utterly melt; for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and those who are with him are valiant men.

依我之计，不如将以色列众人—从但直到别是巴，如同海边的沙那样多—聚集到你这里来，你也亲自率领他们出战。

yī wǒ zhī jì ， bù rú jiāng yǐ sè liè zhòng rén — cóng dàn zhí dào bié shì bā ， rú tóng hǎi biān de shā nà yàng duō — jù jí dào nǐ zhè lǐ lái ， nǐ yě qīn zì shuài lǐng tā men chū zhàn 。

But I counsel that all Israel be gathered together to you, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that you go to battle in your own person.

这样，我们在何处遇见他，就下到他那里，如同露水下在地上一般，连他带跟随他的人，一个也不留下。

zhè yàng ， wǒ men zài hé chù yù jiàn tā ， jiù xià dào tā nà lǐ ， rú tóng lù shuǐ xià zài dì shàng yì bān ， lián tā dài gēn suí tā de rén ， yí gè yě bù liú xià 。

So we will come on him in some place where he will be found, and we will light on him as the dew falls on the ground, then we will not leave so much as one of him and of all the men who are with him.

他若进了哪一座城，以色列众人必带绳子去，将那城拉到河里，甚至连一块小石头都不剩下。」

tā ruò jìn le nǎ yí zuò chéng ， yǐ sè liè zhòng rén bì dài shéng zǐ qù ， jiāng nà chéng lā dào hé lǐ ， shèn zhì lián yí kuài xiǎo shí tou dōu bú shèng xià 。」

Moreover, if he has gone into a city, then all Israel will bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there isn’t one small stone found there.”

押沙龙和以色列众人说：「亚基人户筛的计谋比亚希多弗的计谋更好！」这是因耶和华定意破坏亚希多弗的良谋，为要降祸与押沙龙。

yā shā lóng hé yǐ sè liè zhòng rén shuō ：「 yà jī rén hù shāi de jì móu bǐ yà xī duō fú de jì móu gèng hǎo ！」 zhè shì yīn yē hé huá dìng yì pò huài yà xī duō fú de liáng móu ， wèi yào jiàng huò yǔ yā shā lóng 。

Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel.” For the LORD had ordained to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil on Absalom.

户筛对祭司撒督和亚比亚他说： 「亚希多弗为押沙龙和以色列的长老所定的计谋是如此如此，我所定的计谋是如此如此。

hù shāi duì jì sī sā dū hé yà bǐ yà tā shuō ： 「 yà xī duō fú wèi yā shā lóng hé yǐ sè liè de cháng lǎo suǒ dìng de jì móu shì rú cǐ rú cǐ ， wǒ suǒ dìng de jì móu shì rú cǐ rú cǐ 。

Then Hushai said to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, “Ahithophel counseled Absalom and the elders of Israel that way; and I have counseled this way.

现在你们要急速打发人去，告诉大卫说：『今夜不可住在旷野的渡口，务要过河，免得王和跟随他的人都被吞灭。』」

xiàn zài nǐ men yào jí sù dǎ fā rén qù ， gào sù dà wèi shuō ：『 jīn yè bù kě zhù zài kuàng yě de dù kǒu ， wù yào guò hé ， miǎn de wáng hé gēn suí tā de rén dōu bèi tūn miè 。』」

Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, ‘Don’t lodge tonight at the fords of the wilderness, but by all means pass over, lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people who are with him.’”

那时，约拿单和亚希玛斯在隐·罗结那里等候，不敢进城，恐怕被人看见。有一个使女出来，将这话告诉他们，他们就去报信给大卫王。

nà shí ， yuē ná dān hé yà xī mǎ sī zài yǐn · luó jié nà lǐ děng hòu ， bù gǎn jìn chéng ， kǒng pà bèi rén kàn jiàn 。 yǒu yí gè shǐ nǚ chū lái ， jiāng zhè huà gào sù tā men ， tā men jiù qù bào xìn gěi dà wèi wáng 。

Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz were staying by En Rogel; and a female servant used to go and report to them, and they went and told King David; for they couldn’t risk being seen coming into the city.

然而有一个童子看见他们，就去告诉押沙龙。他们急忙跑到巴户琳某人的家里；那人院中有一口井，他们就下到井里。

rán ér yǒu yí gè tóng zǐ kàn jiàn tā men ， jiù qù gào sù yā shā lóng 。 tā men jí máng pǎo dào bā hù lín mǒu rén de jiā lǐ ； nà rén yuàn zhōng yǒu yì kǒu jǐng ， tā men jiù xià dào jǐng lǐ 。

But a boy saw them, and told Absalom. Then they both went away quickly and came to the house of a man in Bahurim, who had a well in his court; and they went down there.

那家的妇人用盖盖上井口，又在上头铺上碎麦，事就没有泄漏。

nà jiā de fù rén yòng gài gài shàng jǐng kǒu ， yòu zài shàng tóu pù shàng suì mài ， shì jiù méi yǒu xiè lòu 。

The woman took and spread the covering over the well’s mouth, and spread out crushed grain on it; and nothing was known.

押沙龙的仆人来到那家，问妇人说：「亚希玛斯和约拿单在哪里？」妇人说：「他们过了河了。」仆人找他们，找不着，就回耶路撒冷去了。

yā shā lóng de pú rén lái dào nà jiā ， wèn fù rén shuō ：「 yà xī mǎ sī hé yuē ná dān zài nǎ lǐ ？」 fù rén shuō ：「 tā men guò le hé le 。」 pú rén zhǎo tā men ， zhǎo bù zhe ， jiù huí yē lù sā lěng qù le 。

Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the house; and they said, “Where are Ahimaaz and Jonathan?” The woman said to them, “They have gone over the brook of water.” When they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.

他们走后，二人从井里上来，去告诉大卫王说：「亚希多弗如此如此定计害你，你们务要起来，快快过河。」

tā men zǒu hòu ， èr rén cóng jǐng lǐ shàng lái ， qù gào sù dà wèi wáng shuō ：「 yà xī duō fú rú cǐ rú cǐ dìng jì hài nǐ ， nǐ men wù yào qǐ lái ， kuài kuài guò hé 。」

After they had departed, they came up out of the well and went and told King David; and they said to David, “Arise and pass quickly over the water; for thus has Ahithophel counseled against you.”

于是大卫和跟随他的人都起来，过约旦河。到了天亮，无一人不过约旦河的。

yú shì dà wèi hé gēn suí tā de rén dōu qǐ lái ， guò yuē dàn hé 。 dào le tiān liàng ， wú yì rén bú guò yuē dàn hé de 。

Then David arose, and all the people who were with him, and they passed over the Jordan. By the morning light there lacked not one of them who had not gone over the Jordan.

亚希多弗见不依从他的计谋，就备上驴，归回本城；到了家，留下遗言，便吊死了，葬在他父亲的坟墓里。

yà xī duō fú jiàn bù yī cóng tā de jì móu ， jiù bèi shàng lǘ ， guī huí běn chéng ； dào le jiā ， liú xià yí yán ， biàn diào sǐ le ， zàng zài tā fù qīn de fén mù lǐ 。

When Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey, arose, and went home to his city, set his house in order, and hanged himself; and he died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.

大卫到了玛哈念，押沙龙和跟随他的以色列人也都过了约旦河。

dà wèi dào le mǎ hā niàn ， yā shā lóng hé gēn suí tā de yǐ sè liè rén yě dōu guò le yuē dàn hé 。

Then David came to Mahanaim. Absalom passed over the Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.

押沙龙立亚玛撒作元帅，代替约押。亚玛撒是以实玛利人 以特拉的儿子。以特拉曾与拿辖的女儿亚比该亲近；这亚比该与约押的母亲洗鲁雅是姊妹。

yā shā lóng lì yà mǎ sā zuò yuán shuài ， dài tì yuē yā 。 yà mǎ sā shì yǐ shí mǎ lì rén yǐ tè lā de ér zi 。 yǐ tè lā céng yǔ ná xiá de nǚ ér yà bǐ gāi qīn jìn ； zhè yà bǐ gāi yǔ yuē yā de mǔ qīn xǐ lǔ yǎ shì zǐ mèi 。

Absalom set Amasa over the army instead of Joab. Now Amasa was the son of a man whose name was Ithra the Israelite, who went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah, Joab’s mother.

押沙龙和以色列人都安营在基列地。

yā shā lóng hé yǐ sè liè rén dōu ān yíng zài jī liè dì 。

Israel and Absalom encamped in the land of Gilead.

大卫到了玛哈念，亚扪族的拉巴人拿辖的儿子朔比，罗·底巴人亚米利的儿子玛吉，基列的罗基琳人巴西莱，

When David had come to Mahanaim, Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,

带着被、褥、盆、碗、瓦器、小麦、大麦、麦面、炒谷、豆子、红豆、炒豆、

dài zhe bèi 、 rù 、 pén 、 wǎn 、 wǎ qì 、 xiǎo mài 、 dà mài 、 mài miàn 、 chǎo gǔ 、 dòu zǐ 、 hóng dòu 、 chǎo dòu 、

brought beds, basins, earthen vessels, wheat, barley, meal, parched grain, beans, lentils, roasted grain,

蜂蜜、奶油、绵羊、奶饼，供给大卫和跟随他的人吃；他们说：「民在旷野，必饥渴困乏了。」

fēng mì 、 nǎi yóu 、 mián yáng 、 nǎi bǐng ， gōng jǐ dà wèi hé gēn suí tā de rén chī ； tā men shuō ：「 mín zài kuàng yě ， bì jī kě kùn fá le 。」

honey, butter, sheep, and cheese of the herd, for David and for the people who were with him to eat; for they said, “The people are hungry, weary, and thirsty in the wilderness.”
