西

yǐ sè liè rén chū āi jí dì yǐ hòu , mǎn le sān gè yuè de nà yì tiān , jiù lái dào xī nài de kuàng yě 。

In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

tā men lí le lì fēi dìng , lái dào xī nài de kuàng yě , jiù zài nà lǐ de shān xià ān yíng 。

When they had departed from Rephidim, and had come to the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mountain.

mó xī dào shén nà lǐ , yē hé huá cóng shān shàng hū huàn tā shuō :「 nǐ yào zhè yàng gào sù yǎ gè jiā , xiǎo yù yǐ sè liè rén shuō :

Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

『 wǒ xiàng āi jí rén suǒ xíng de shì , nǐ men dōu kàn jiàn le , qiě kàn jiàn wǒ rú yīng jiāng nǐ men bèi zài chì bǎng shàng , dài lái guī wǒ 。

‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself.

rú jīn nǐ men ruò shí zài tīng cóng wǒ de huà , zūn shǒu wǒ de yuē , jiù yào zài wàn mín zhōng zuò shǔ wǒ de zǐ mín , yīn wèi quán dì dōu shì wǒ de 。

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;

。』。」

nǐ men yào guī wǒ zuò jì sī de guó dù , wèi shèng jié de guó mín 。』 zhè xiē huà nǐ yào gào sù yǐ sè liè rén 。」

and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

mó xī qù zhào le mín jiān de zhǎng lǎo lái , jiāng yē hé huá suǒ fēn fù tā de huà dōu zài tā men miàn qián chén míng 。

Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which the LORD commanded him.

bǎi xìng dōu tóng shēng huí dá shuō :「 fán yē hé huá suǒ shuō de , wǒ men dōu yào zūn xíng 。」 mó xī jiù jiāng bǎi xìng de huà huí fù yē hé huá 。

All the people answered together, and said, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to the LORD.

yē hé huá duì mó xī shuō :「 wǒ yào zài mì yún zhōng lín dào nǐ nà lǐ , jiào bǎi xìng zài wǒ yǔ nǐ shuō huà de shí hòu kě yǐ tīng jiàn , yě kě yǐ yǒng yuǎn xìn nǐ le 。」 yú shì , mó xī jiāng bǎi xìng de huà zòu gào yē hé huá 。

The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.

yē hé huá yòu duì mó xī shuō :「 nǐ wǎng bǎi xìng nà lǐ qù , jiào tā men jīn tiān míng tiān zì jié , yòu jiào tā men xǐ yī fu 。

The LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,

dào dì sān tiān yào yù bèi hǎo le , yīn wèi dì sān tiān yē hé huá yào zài zhòng bǎi xìng yǎn qián jiàng lín zài xī nài shān shàng 。

and be ready for the third day; for on the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.

:『

nǐ yào zài shān de sì wéi gěi bǎi xìng dìng jiè xiàn , shuō :『 nǐ men dāng jǐn shèn , bù kě shàng shān qù , yě bù kě mō shān de biān jiè ; fán mō zhè shān de , bì yào zhì sǐ tā 。

You shall set bounds to the people all around, saying, ‘Be careful that you don’t go up onto the mountain, or touch its border. Whoever touches the mountain shall be surely put to death.

。』」

bù kě yòng shǒu mō tā , bì yòng shí tou dǎ sǐ , huò yòng jiàn shè tòu ; wú lùn shì rén shì shēng chù , dōu bù dé huó 。 dào jiǎo shēng tuō cháng de shí hòu , tā men cái kě dào shān gēn lái 。』」

No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether it is animal or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.”

mó xī xià shān wǎng bǎi xìng nà lǐ qù , jiào tā men zì jié , tā men jiù xǐ yī fu 。

Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

tā duì bǎi xìng shuō :「 dào dì sān tiān yào yù bèi hǎo le 。 bù kě qīn jìn nǚ rén 。」

He said to the people, “Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.”

dào le dì sān tiān zǎo chén , zài shān shàng yǒu léi hōng 、 shǎn diàn , hé mì yún , bìng qiě jiǎo shēng shèn dà , yíng zhōng de bǎi xìng jìn dōu fā chàn 。

On the third day, when it was morning, there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of an exceedingly loud trumpet; and all the people who were in the camp trembled.

mó xī shuài lǐng bǎi xìng chū yíng yíng jiē shén , dōu zhàn zài shān xià 。

Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the lower part of the mountain.

xī nài quán shān mào yān , yīn wèi yē hé huá zài huǒ zhōng jiàng yú shān shàng 。 shān de yān qì shàng téng , rú shāo yáo yì bān , biàn shān dà dà dì zhèn dòng 。

All of Mount Sinai smoked, because the LORD descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.

jiǎo shēng jiàn jiàn dì gāo ér yòu gāo , mó xī jiù shuō huà , shén yǒu shēng yīn dā ying tā 。

When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

yē hé huá jiàng lín zài xī nài shān dǐng shàng , yē hé huá zhào mó xī shàng shān dǐng , mó xī jiù shàng qù 。

The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. The LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

西:「

yē hé huá duì mó xī shuō :「 nǐ xià qù zhǔ fù bǎi xìng , bù kě chuǎng guò lái dào wǒ miàn qián guān kàn , kǒng pà tā men yǒu duō rén sǐ wáng ;

The LORD said to Moses, “Go down, warn the people, lest they break through to the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

。」

yòu jiào qīn jìn wǒ de jì sī zì jié , kǒng pà wǒ hū rán chū lái jī shā tā men 。」

Let the priests also, who come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break out on them.”

西:「西:『。』」

mó xī duì yē hé huá shuō :「 bǎi xìng bù néng shàng xī nài shān , yīn wèi nǐ yǐ jīng zhǔ fù wǒ men shuō :『 yào zài shān de sì wéi dìng jiè xiàn , jiào shān chéng shèng 。』」

Moses said to the LORD, “The people can’t come up to Mount Sinai, for you warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain, and sanctify it.’”

:「。」

yē hé huá duì tā shuō :「 xià qù ba , nǐ yào hé yà lún yì tóng shàng lái ; zhǐ shì jì sī hé bǎi xìng bù kě chuǎng guò lái shàng dào wǒ miàn qián , kǒng pà wǒ hū rán chū lái jī shā tā men 。」

The LORD said to him, “Go down! You shall bring Aaron up with you, but don’t let the priests and the people break through to come up to the LORD, lest he break out against them.”

yú shì mó xī xià dào bǎi xìng nà lǐ gào sù tā men 。

So Moses went down to the people, and told them.
