wú zhī de jiā lā tài rén nǎ , yē sū jī dū dīng shí zì jià , yǐ jīng huó huà zài nǐ men yǎn qián , shuí yòu mí huò le nǐ men ne ?

Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly portrayed among you as crucified?

wǒ zhǐ yào wèn nǐ men zhè yí jiàn : nǐ men shòu le shèng líng , shì yīn xíng lǜ fǎ ne ? shì yīn tīng xìn fú yīn ne ?

I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

nǐ men jì kào shèng líng rù mén , rú jīn hái kào ròu shēn chéng quán ma ? nǐ men shì zhè yàng de wú zhī ma ?

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?

nǐ men shòu kǔ rú cǐ zhī duō , dōu shì tú rán de ma ? nán dào guǒ zhēn shì tú rán de ma ?

Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?

nà cì gěi nǐ men shèng líng , yòu zài nǐ men zhōng jiān xíng yì néng de , shì yīn nǐ men xíng lǜ fǎ ne ? shì yīn nǐ men tīng xìn fú yīn ne ?

He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

」。

zhèng rú 「 yà bó lā hǎn xìn shén , zhè jiù suàn wèi tā de yì 」。

Even so, Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”

suǒ yǐ , nǐ men yào zhī dào : nà yǐ xìn wèi běn de rén , jiù shì yà bó lā hǎn de zǐ sūn 。

Know therefore that those who are of faith are children of Abraham.

:「。」

bìng qiě shèng jīng jì rán yù xiān kàn míng , shén yào jiào wài bāng rén yīn xìn chēng yì , jiù zǎo yǐ chuán fú yīn gěi yà bó lā hǎn , shuō :「 wàn guó dōu bì yīn nǐ dé fú 。」

The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”

kě jiàn nà yǐ xìn wèi běn de rén hé yǒu xìn xīn de yà bó lā hǎn yì tóng dé fú 。

So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

:「。」

fán yǐ xíng lǜ fǎ wèi běn de , dōu shì bèi zhòu zǔ de ; yīn wèi jīng shàng jì zhe :「 fán bù cháng zhào lǜ fǎ shū shàng suǒ jì yí qiè zhī shì qù xíng de , jiù bèi zhòu zǔ 。」

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

:「。」

méi yǒu yí gè rén kào zhe lǜ fǎ zài shén miàn qián chēng yì , zhè shì míng xiǎn de ; yīn wèi jīng shàng shuō :「 yì rén bì yīn xìn dé shēng 。」

Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”

:「。」

lǜ fǎ yuán bù běn hū xìn , zhī shuō :「 xíng zhè xiē shì de , jiù bì yīn cǐ huó zhe 。」

The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.”

:「。」

jī dū jì wèi wǒ men shòu liǎo zhòu zǔ , jiù shú chū wǒ men tuō lí lǜ fǎ de zhòu zǔ ; yīn wèi jīng shàng jì zhe :「 fán guà zài mù tou shàng dōu shì bèi zhòu zǔ de 。」

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”

zhè biàn jiào yà bó lā hǎn de fú , yīn jī dū yē sū kě yǐ lín dào wài bāng rén , shǐ wǒ men yīn xìn dé zhe suǒ yīng xǔ de shèng líng 。

that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

dì xiong men , wǒ qiě zhào zhe rén de cháng huà shuō : suī rán shì rén de wén yuē , ruò yǐ jīng lì dìng le , jiù méi yǒu néng fèi qì huò jiā zēng de 。

Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it.

」,」,

suǒ yīng xǔ de yuán shì xiàng yà bó lā hǎn hé tā zǐ sūn shuō de 。 shén bìng bú shì shuō 「 zhòng zǐ sūn 」, zhǐ zhe xǔ duō rén , nǎi shì shuō 「 nǐ nà yí gè zi sūn 」, zhǐ zhe yí gè rén , jiù shì jī dū 。

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants ”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ.

wǒ shì zhè me shuō , shén yù xiān suǒ lì de yuē , bù néng bèi nà sì bǎi sān shí nián yǐ hòu de lǜ fǎ fèi diào , jiào yīng xǔ guī yú xū kōng 。

Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.

yīn wèi chéng shòu chǎn yè , ruò běn hū lǜ fǎ , jiù bù běn hū yīng xǔ ; dàn shén shì píng zhe yīng xǔ bǎ chǎn yè cì gěi yà bó lā hǎn 。

For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.

zhè yàng shuō lái , lǜ fǎ shì wèi shén me yǒu de ne ? yuán shì wèi guò fàn tiān shàng de , děng hòu nà méng yīng xǔ de zǐ sūn lái dào , bìng qiě shì jiè tiān shǐ jīng zhōng bǎo zhī shǒu shè lì de 。

Then why is there the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

dàn zhōng bǎo běn bú shì wèi yí miàn zuò de ; shén què shì yí wèi 。

Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.

zhè yàng , lǜ fǎ shì yǔ shén de yīng xǔ fǎn duì ma ? duàn hū bú shì ! ruò céng chuán yí gè néng jiào rén dé shēng de lǜ fǎ , yì jiù chéng rán běn hū lǜ fǎ le 。

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.

dàn shèng jīng bǎ zhòng rén dōu quān zài zuì lǐ , shǐ suǒ yīng xǔ de fú yīn xìn yē sū jī dū , guī gěi nà xìn de rén 。

But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

dàn zhè yīn xìn dé jiù de lǐ hái wèi lái yǐ xiān , wǒ men bèi kān shǒu zài lǜ fǎ zhī xià , zhí quān dào nà jiāng lái de zhēn dào xiǎn míng chū lái 。

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

zhè yàng , lǜ fǎ shì wǒ men xùn méng de shī fu , yǐn wǒ men dào jī dū nà lǐ , shǐ wǒ men yīn xìn chēng yì 。

So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

dàn zhè yīn xìn dé jiù de lǐ jì rán lái dào , wǒ men cóng cǐ jiù bú zài shī fu de shǒu xià le 。

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

suǒ yǐ , nǐ men yīn xìn jī dū yē sū dōu shì shén de ér zi 。

For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.

nǐ men shòu xǐ guī rù jī dū de dōu shì pī dài jī dū le 。

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

bìng bù fēn yóu tài rén 、 xī là rén , zì zhǔ de 、 wèi nú de , huò nán huò nǚ , yīn wèi nǐ men zài jī dū yē sū lǐ dōu chéng wéi yī le 。

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

nǐ men jì shǔ hū jī dū , jiù shì yà bó lā hǎn de hòu yì , shì zhào zhe yīng xǔ chéng shòu chǎn yè de le 。

If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.
