zhè mài jī xǐ dé jiù shì sā lěng wáng , yòu shì zhì gāo shén de jì sī , běn shì cháng yuǎn wèi jì sī de 。 tā dāng yà bó lā hǎn shā bài zhū wáng huí lái de shí hòu , jiù yíng jiē tā , gěi tā zhù fú 。

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

yà bó lā hǎn yě jiāng zì jǐ suǒ dé lái de , qǔ shí fēn zhī yī gěi tā 。 tā tóu yí gè míng fān chū lái jiù shì rén yì wáng , tā yòu míng sā lěng wáng , jiù shì píng ān wáng de yì sī 。

to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, “king of righteousness”, and then also “king of Salem”, which means “king of peace”,

tā wú fù , wú mǔ , wú zú pǔ , wú shēng zhī shǐ , wú mìng zhī zhōng , nǎi shì yǔ shén de ér zi xiāng sì 。

without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.

nǐ men xiǎng yi xiǎng , xiān zǔ yà bó lā hǎn jiāng zì jǐ suǒ lǔ lái shàng děng zhī wù qǔ shí fēn zhī yī gěi tā , zhè rén shì hé děng zūn guì ne !

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth out of the best plunder.

nà dé jì sī zhí rèn de lì wèi zǐ sūn , lǐng mìng zhào lì xiàng bǎi xìng qǔ shí fēn zhī yī , zhè bǎi xìng shì zì jǐ de dì xiōng , suī shì cóng yà bó lā hǎn shēn zhōng shēng de , hái shì zhào lì qǔ shí fēn zhī yī 。

They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,

dú yǒu mài jī xǐ dé , bù yǔ tā men tóng pǔ , dǎo shōu nà yà bó lā hǎn de shí fēn zhī yī , wèi nà méng yīng xǔ de yà bó lā hǎn zhù fú 。

but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.

cóng lái wèi fēn dà de gěi wèi fēn xiǎo de zhù fú , zhè shì bó bù dǎo de lǐ 。

But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.

zài zhè lǐ shōu shí fēn zhī yī de dōu shì bì sǐ de rén ; dàn zài nà lǐ shōu shí fēn zhī yī de , yǒu wèi tā zuò jiàn zhèng de shuō , tā shì huó de ;

Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives.

bìng qiě kě shuō nà shòu shí fēn zhī yī de lì wèi , yě shì jiè zhe yà bó lā hǎn nà le shí fēn zhī yī 。

We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,

yīn wèi mài jī xǐ dé yíng jiē yà bó lā hǎn de shí hòu , lì wèi yǐ jīng zài tā xiān zǔ de shēn zhōng 。

for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him.

cóng qián bǎi xìng zài lì wèi rén jì sī zhí rèn yǐ xià shòu lǜ fǎ , tǎng ruò jiè zhè zhí rèn néng dé wán quán , yòu hé yòng lìng wài xīng qǐ yí wèi jì sī , zhào mài jī xǐ dé de děng cì , bú zhào yà lún de děng cì ne ?

Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

jì sī de zhí rèn jì yǐ gēng gǎi , lǜ fǎ yě bì xū gēng gǎi 。

For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law.

yīn wèi zhè huà suǒ zhǐ de rén běn shǔ bié de zhī pài , nà zhī pài lǐ cóng lái méi yǒu yì rén cì hou jì tán 。

For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar.

西

wǒ men de zhǔ fēn míng shì cóng yóu dà chū lái de ; dàn zhè zhī pài , mó xī bìng méi yǒu tí dào jì sī 。

For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

tǎng ruò zhào mài jī xǐ dé de yàng shì , lìng wài xīng qǐ yí wèi jì sī lái , wǒ de huà gèng shì xiǎn ér yì jiàn de le 。

This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,

tā chéng wéi jì sī , bìng bú shì zhào shǔ ròu tǐ de tiáo lì , nǎi shì zhào wú qióng zhī shēng mìng de dà néng 。

who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life;

:「。」

yīn wèi yǒu gěi tā zuò jiàn zhèng de shuō :「 nǐ shì zhào zhe mài jī xǐ dé de děng cì yǒng yuǎn wèi jì sī 。」

for it is testified, “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”

xiān qián de tiáo lì , yīn ruǎn ruò wú yì , suǒ yǐ fèi diào le ,

For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness

便

( lǜ fǎ yuán lái yì wú suǒ chéng ) jiù yǐn jìn le gèng měi de zhǐ wàng ; kào zhè zhǐ wàng , wǒ men biàn kě yǐ jìn dào shén miàn qián 。

(for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

zài zhě , yē sū wèi jì sī , bìng bú shì bù qǐ shì lì de 。

Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath

:「。」

zhì yú nà xiē jì sī , yuán bú shì qǐ shì lì de , zhǐ yǒu yē sū shì qǐ shì lì de ; yīn wèi nà lì tā de duì tā shuō :「 zhǔ qǐ le shì , jué bù hòu huǐ , nǐ shì yǒng yuǎn wèi jì sī 。」

(for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, “The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’”

jì shì qǐ shì lì de , yē sū jiù zuò le gèng měi zhī yuē de zhōng bǎo 。

By so much, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

nà xiē chéng wèi jì sī de , shù mù běn lái duō , shì yīn wèi yǒu sǐ zǔ gé , bù néng cháng jiǔ 。

Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death.

zhè wèi jì shì yǒng yuǎn cháng cún de , tā jì sī de zhí rèn jiù cháng jiǔ bú gēng huàn 。

But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable.

fán kào zhe tā jìn dào shén miàn qián de rén , tā dōu néng zhěng jiù dào dǐ ; yīn wèi tā shì cháng yuǎn huó zhe , tì tā men qí qiú 。

Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.

xiàng zhè yàng shèng jié 、 wú xié è 、 wú diàn wū 、 yuǎn lí zuì rén 、 gāo guò zhū tiān de dà jì sī , yuán shì yǔ wǒ men hé yí de 。

For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

tā bú xiàng nà xiē dà jì sī , měi rì bì xū xiān wèi zì jǐ de zuì , hòu wèi bǎi xìng de zuì xiàn jì ; yīn wèi tā zhī yí cì jiāng zì jǐ xiàn shàng , jiù bǎ zhè shì chéng quán le 。

who doesn’t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.

lǜ fǎ běn shì lì ruǎn ruò de rén wéi dà jì sī ; dàn zài lǜ fǎ yǐ hòu qǐ shì de huà , shì lì ér zi wèi dà jì sī , nǎi shì chéng quán dào yǒng yuǎn de 。

For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son forever who has been perfected.
