kàn nǎ , bì yǒu yì wáng píng gōng yì xíng zhèng ; bì yǒu shǒu lǐng jiè gōng píng zhǎng quán 。

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.

bì yǒu yì rén xiàng bì fēng suǒ hé bì bào yǔ de yǐn mì chù , yòu xiàng hé liú zài gān hàn zhī dì , xiàng dà pán shí de yǐng zi zài pí fá zhī dì 。

A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

nà néng kàn de rén , yǎn bú zài hūn mí ; néng tīng de rén , ěr bì dé tīng wén 。

The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen.

mào shi rén de xīn bì míng bái zhī shi ; jiē ba rén de shé bì shuō huà tōng kuài 。

The heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.

yú wán rén bú zài chēng wéi gāo míng ; lìn sè rén bú zài chēng wéi dà fāng 。

The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected.

使饿使

yīn wèi yú wán rén bì shuō yú wán huà , xīn lǐ xiǎng zuò zuì niè , guàn xíng xiè dú de shì , shuō cuò miù de huà gōng jī yē hé huá , shǐ jī è de rén wú shí kě chī , shǐ kǒu kě de rén wú shuǐ kě hē 。

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

lìn sè rén suǒ yòng de fǎ zǐ shì è de ; tā tú móu è jì , yòng huǎng yán huǐ miè qiān bēi rén ; qióng fá rén jiǎng gōng lǐ de shí hòu , tā yě shì zhè yàng xíng 。

The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

gāo míng rén què móu gāo míng shì , zài gāo míng shì shàng yě bì yǒng cún 。

But the noble devises noble things, and he will continue in noble things.

ān yì de fù nǚ a , qǐ lái tīng wǒ de shēng yīn ! wú lǜ de nǚ zǐ a , cè ěr tīng wǒ de yán yǔ !

Rise up, you women who are at ease! Hear my voice! You careless daughters, give ear to my speech!

wú lǜ de nǚ zǐ a , zài guò yì nián duō , bì shòu sāo rǎo ; yīn wèi wú pú táo kě zhāi , wú guǒ zǐ kě shōu 。

For days beyond a year you will be troubled, you careless women; for the vintage will fail. The harvest won’t come.

ān yì de fù nǚ a , yào zhàn jīng ; wú lǜ de nǚ zǐ a , yào shòu sāo rǎo 。 tuō qù yī fu , chì zhe shēn tǐ , yāo shù má bù 。

Tremble, you women who are at ease! Be troubled, you careless ones! Strip yourselves, make yourselves naked, and put sackcloth on your waist.

tā men bì wèi měi hǎo de tián dì hé duō jié guǒ de pú táo shù , chuí xiōng āi kū 。

Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.

jīng jí jí lí bì cháng zài wǒ bǎi xìng de dì shàng , yòu cháng zài huān lè de chéng zhōng hé yí qiè kuài lè de fáng wū shàng 。

Thorns and briers will come up on my people’s land; yes, on all the houses of joy in the joyous city.

yīn wèi gōng diàn bì bèi piě xià , duō mín de chéng bì bèi lí qì ; shān gāng wàng lóu yǒng wèi dòng xué , zuò yě lǘ suǒ xǐ lè de , wèi yáng qún de cǎo chǎng 。

For the palace will be forsaken. The populous city will be deserted. The hill and the watchtower will be for dens forever, a delight for wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks,

děng dào shèng líng cóng shàng jiāo guàn wǒ men , kuàng yě jiù biàn wèi féi tián , féi tián kàn rú shù lín 。

until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is considered a forest.

nà shí , gōng píng yào jū zài kuàng yě ; gōng yì yào jū zài féi tián 。

Then justice will dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field.

gōng yì de guǒ xiào bì shì píng ān ; gōng yì de xiào yàn bì shì píng wěn , zhí dào yǒng yuǎn 。

The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.

wǒ de bǎi xìng bì zhù zài píng ān de jū suǒ , ān wěn de zhù chù , píng jìng de ān xiē suǒ 。

My people will live in a peaceful habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places,

( dàn yào jiàng bīng báo dǎ dǎo shù lín ; chéng bì quán rán chāi píng 。)

though hail flattens the forest, and the city is leveled completely.

nǐ men zài gè shuǐ biān sā zhǒng 、 mù fàng niú lǘ de yǒu fú le !

Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the feet of the ox and the donkey.
