耶路·巴力的儿子亚比米勒到了示剑见他的众母舅，对他们和他外祖全家的人说：

yē lù · bā lì de ér zi yà bǐ mǐ lè dào le shì jiàn jiàn tā de zhòng mǔ jiù ， duì tā men hé tā wài zǔ quán jiā de rén shuō ：

Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to his mother’s brothers, and spoke with them and with all the family of the house of his mother’s father, saying,

「请你们问示剑的众人说，是耶路·巴力的众子七十人都管理你们好呢？还是一人管理你们好呢？你们又要记念我是你们的骨肉。」

「 qǐng nǐ men wèn shì jiàn de zhòng rén shuō ， shì yē lù · bā lì de zhòng zǐ qī shí rén dōu guǎn lǐ nǐ men hǎo ne ？ hái shì yì rén guǎn lǐ nǐ men hǎo ne ？ nǐ men yòu yào jì niàn wǒ shì nǐ men de gǔ ròu 。」

“Please speak in the ears of all the men of Shechem, ‘Is it better for you that all the sons of Jerubbaal, who are seventy persons, rule over you, or that one rule over you?’ Remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.”

他的众母舅便将这一切话为他说给示剑人听，示剑人的心就归向亚比米勒。他们说：「他原是我们的弟兄」；

tā de zhòng mǔ jiù biàn jiāng zhè yí qiè huà wèi tā shuō gěi shì jiàn rén tīng ， shì jiàn rén de xīn jiù guī xiàng yà bǐ mǐ lè 。 tā men shuō ：「 tā yuán shì wǒ men de dì xiong 」；

His mother’s brothers spoke of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words. Their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, “He is our brother.”

就从巴力·比利土的庙中取了七十舍客勒银子给亚比米勒；亚比米勒用以雇了些匪徒跟随他。

jiù cóng bā lì · bǐ lì tǔ de miào zhōng qǔ le qī shí shè kè lè yín zi gěi yà bǐ mǐ lè ； yà bǐ mǐ lè yòng yǐ gù le xiē fěi tú gēn suí tā 。

They gave him seventy pieces of silver out of the house of Baal Berith, with which Abimelech hired vain and reckless fellows who followed him.

他往俄弗拉到他父亲的家，将他弟兄、耶路·巴力的众子七十人都杀在一块磐石上；只剩下耶路·巴力的小儿子约坦，因为他躲藏了。

tā wǎng é fú lā dào tā fù qīn de jiā ， jiāng tā dì xiong 、 yē lù · bā lì de zhòng zǐ qī shí rén dōu shā zài yí kuài pán shí shàng ； zhī shèng xià yē lù · bā lì de xiǎo ér zi yuē tǎn ， yīn wèi tā duǒ cáng le 。

He went to his father’s house at Ophrah, and killed his brothers the sons of Jerubbaal, being seventy persons, on one stone; but Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left, for he hid himself.

示剑人和米罗人都一同聚集，往示剑橡树旁的柱子那里，立亚比米勒为王。

shì jiàn rén hé mǐ luó rén dōu yì tóng jù jí ， wǎng shì jiàn xiàng shù páng de zhù zi nà lǐ ， lì yà bǐ mǐ lè wèi wáng 。

All the men of Shechem assembled themselves together with all the house of Millo, and went and made Abimelech king by the oak of the pillar that was in Shechem.

有人将这事告诉约坦，他就去站在基利心山顶上，向众人大声喊叫说：「示剑人哪，你们要听我的话， 神也就听你们的话。

yǒu rén jiāng zhè shì gào sù yuē tǎn ， tā jiù qù zhàn zài jī lì xīn shān dǐng shàng ， xiàng zhòng rén dà shēng hǎn jiào shuō ：「 shì jiàn rén nǎ ， nǐ men yào tīng wǒ de huà ， shén yě jiù tīng nǐ men de huà 。

When they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim and lifted up his voice, cried out, and said to them, “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, that God may listen to you.

有一时，树木要膏一树为王，管理他们，就去对橄榄树说：『请你作我们的王。』

yǒu yì shí ， shù mù yào gāo yí shù wèi wáng ， guǎn lǐ tā men ， jiù qù duì gǎn lǎn shù shuō ：『 qǐng nǐ zuò wǒ men de wáng 。』

The trees set out to anoint a king over themselves. They said to the olive tree, ‘Reign over us.’

橄榄树回答说：『我岂肯止住供奉神和尊重人的油，飘摇在众树之上呢？』

gǎn lǎn shù huí dá shuō ：『 wǒ qǐ kěn zhǐ zhù gòng fèng shén hé zūn zhòng rén de yóu ， piāo yáo zài zhòng shù zhī shàng ne ？』

“But the olive tree said to them, ‘Should I stop producing my oil, with which they honor God and man by me, and go to wave back and forth over the trees?’

树木对无花果树说：『请你来作我们的王。』

shù mù duì wú huā guǒ shù shuō ：『 qǐng nǐ lái zuò wǒ men de wáng 。』

“The trees said to the fig tree, ‘Come and reign over us.’

无花果树回答说：『我岂肯止住所结甜美的果子，飘摇在众树之上呢？』

wú huā guǒ shù huí dá shuō ：『 wǒ qǐ kěn zhǐ zhù suǒ jié tián měi de guǒ zǐ ， piāo yáo zài zhòng shù zhī shàng ne ？』

“But the fig tree said to them, ‘Should I leave my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to wave back and forth over the trees?’

树木对葡萄树说：『请你来作我们的王。』

shù mù duì pú táo shù shuō ：『 qǐng nǐ lái zuò wǒ men de wáng 。』

“The trees said to the vine, ‘Come and reign over us.’

葡萄树回答说：『我岂肯止住使神和人喜乐的新酒，飘摇在众树之上呢？』

pú táo shù huí dá shuō ：『 wǒ qǐ kěn zhǐ zhù shǐ shén hé rén xǐ lè de xīn jiǔ ， piāo yáo zài zhòng shù zhī shàng ne ？』

“The vine said to them, ‘Should I leave my new wine, which cheers God and man, and go to wave back and forth over the trees?’

众树对荆棘说：『请你来作我们的王。』

zhòng shù duì jīng jí shuō ：『 qǐng nǐ lái zuò wǒ men de wáng 。』

“Then all the trees said to the bramble, ‘Come and reign over us.’

荆棘回答说：『你们若诚诚实实地膏我为王，就要投在我的荫下；不然，愿火从荆棘里出来，烧灭黎巴嫩的香柏树。』

jīng jí huí dá shuō ：『 nǐ men ruò chéng chéng shí shí dì gāo wǒ wèi wáng ， jiù yào tóu zài wǒ de yìn xià ； bù rán ， yuàn huǒ cóng jīng jí lǐ chū lái ， shāo miè lí bā nèn de xiāng bǎi shù 。』

“The bramble said to the trees, ‘If in truth you anoint me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade; and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.’

「现在你们立亚比米勒为王，若按诚实正直善待耶路·巴力和他的全家，这就是酬他的劳。

「 xiàn zài nǐ men lì yà bǐ mǐ lè wèi wáng ， ruò àn chéng shí zhèng zhí shàn dài yē lù · bā lì hé tā de quán jiā ， zhè jiù shì chóu tā de láo 。

“Now therefore, if you have dealt truly and righteously, in that you have made Abimelech king, and if you have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done to him according to the deserving of his hands

从前我父冒死为你们争战，救了你们脱离米甸人的手。

cóng qián wǒ fù mào sǐ wèi nǐ men zhēng zhàn ， jiù le nǐ men tuō lí mǐ diàn rén de shǒu 。

(for my father fought for you, risked his life, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian;

你们如今起来攻击我的父家，将他众子七十人杀在一块磐石上，又立他婢女所生的儿子亚比米勒为示剑人的王；他原是你们的弟兄。

nǐ men rú jīn qǐ lái gōng jī wǒ de fù jiā ， jiāng tā zhòng zǐ qī shí rén shā zài yí kuài pán shí shàng ， yòu lì tā bì nǚ suǒ shēng de ér zi yà bǐ mǐ lè wèi shì jiàn rén de wáng ； tā yuán shì nǐ men de dì xiong 。

and you have risen up against my father’s house today and have slain his sons, seventy persons, on one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his female servant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother);

你们如今若按诚实正直待耶路·巴力和他的家，就可因亚比米勒得欢乐，他也可因你们得欢乐；

nǐ men rú jīn ruò àn chéng shí zhèng zhí dài yē lù · bā lì hé tā de jiā ， jiù kě yīn yà bǐ mǐ lè dé huān lè ， tā yě kě yīn nǐ men dé huān lè ；

if you then have dealt truly and righteously with Jerubbaal and with his house today, then rejoice in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you;

不然，愿火从亚比米勒发出，烧灭示剑人和米罗众人，又愿火从示剑人和米罗人中出来，烧灭亚比米勒。」

bù rán ， yuàn huǒ cóng yà bǐ mǐ lè fā chū ， shāo miè shì jiàn rén hé mǐ luó zhòng rén ， yòu yuàn huǒ cóng shì jiàn rén hé mǐ luó rén zhōng chū lái ， shāo miè yà bǐ mǐ lè 。」

but if not, let fire come out from Abimelech and devour the men of Shechem and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem and from the house of Millo and devour Abimelech.”

约坦因怕他弟兄亚比米勒，就逃跑，来到比珥，住在那里。

yuē tǎn yīn pà tā dì xiong yà bǐ mǐ lè ， jiù táo pǎo ， lái dào bǐ ěr ， zhù zài nà lǐ 。

Jotham ran away and fled, and went to Beer and lived there, for fear of Abimelech his brother.

亚比米勒管理以色列人三年。

yà bǐ mǐ lè guǎn lǐ yǐ sè liè rén sān nián 。

Abimelech was prince over Israel three years.

神使恶魔降在亚比米勒和示剑人中间，示剑人就以诡诈待亚比米勒。

shén shǐ è mó jiàng zài yà bǐ mǐ lè hé shì jiàn rén zhōng jiān ， shì jiàn rén jiù yǐ guǐ zhà dài yà bǐ mǐ lè 。

Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech,

这是要叫耶路·巴力七十个儿子所受的残害归与他们的哥哥亚比米勒，又叫那流他们血的罪归与帮助他杀弟兄的示剑人。

zhè shì yào jiào yē lù · bā lì qī shí gè ér zi suǒ shòu de cán hài guī yǔ tā men de gē ge yà bǐ mǐ lè ， yòu jiào nà liú tā men xuè de zuì guī yǔ bāng zhù tā shā dì xiong de shì jiàn rén 。

that the violence done to the seventy sons of Jerubbaal might come, and that their blood might be laid on Abimelech their brother who killed them, and on the men of Shechem who strengthened his hands to kill his brothers.

示剑人在山顶上设埋伏，等候亚比米勒。凡从他们那里经过的人，他们就抢夺。有人将这事告诉亚比米勒。

shì jiàn rén zài shān dǐng shàng shè mái fú ， děng hòu yà bǐ mǐ lè 。 fán cóng tā men nà lǐ jīng guò de rén ， tā men jiù qiǎng duó 。 yǒu rén jiāng zhè shì gào sù yà bǐ mǐ lè 。

The men of Shechem set an ambush for him on the tops of the mountains, and they robbed all who came along that way by them; and Abimelech was told about it.

以别的儿子迦勒和他的弟兄来到示剑，示剑人都信靠他。

yǐ bié de ér zi jiā lè hé tā de dì xiong lái dào shì jiàn ， shì jiàn rén dōu xìn kào tā 。

Gaal the son of Ebed came with his brothers and went over to Shechem; and the men of Shechem put their trust in him.

示剑人出城到田间去，摘下葡萄，踹酒，设摆筵宴，进他们神的庙中吃喝，咒诅亚比米勒。

shì jiàn rén chū chéng dào tián jiān qù ， zhāi xià pú táo ， chuài jiǔ ， shè bǎi yán yàn ， jìn tā men shén de miào zhōng chī hē ， zhòu zǔ yà bǐ mǐ lè 。

They went out into the field, harvested their vineyards, trod the grapes, celebrated, and went into the house of their god and ate and drank, and cursed Abimelech.

以别的儿子迦勒说：「亚比米勒是谁？示剑是谁？使我们服事他呢？他不是耶路·巴力的儿子吗？他的帮手不是西布勒吗？你们可以服事示剑的父亲哈抹的后裔。我们为何服事亚比米勒呢？

yǐ bié de ér zi jiā lè shuō ：「 yà bǐ mǐ lè shì shuí ？ shì jiàn shì shuí ？ shǐ wǒ men fú shì tā ne ？ tā bú shì yē lù · bā lì de ér zi ma ？ tā de bāng shǒu bú shì xī bù lè ma ？ nǐ men kě yǐ fú shì shì jiàn de fù qīn hā mǒ de hòu yì 。 wǒ men wèi hé fú shì yà bǐ mǐ lè ne ？

Gaal the son of Ebed said, “Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem, that we should serve him? Isn’t he the son of Jerubbaal? Isn’t Zebul his officer? Serve the men of Hamor the father of Shechem, but why should we serve him?

惟愿这民归我的手下，我就除掉亚比米勒。」迦勒又对亚比米勒说：「增添你的军兵出来吧。」

wéi yuàn zhè mín guī wǒ de shǒu xià ， wǒ jiù chú diào yà bǐ mǐ lè 。」 jiā lè yòu duì yà bǐ mǐ lè shuō ：「 zēng tiān nǐ de jūn bīng chū lái ba 。」

I wish that this people were under my hand! Then I would remove Abimelech.” He said to Abimelech, “Increase your army and come out!”

邑宰西布勒听见以别的儿子迦勒的话，就发怒，

yì zǎi xī bù lè tīng jiàn yǐ bié de ér zi jiā lè de huà ， jiù fā nù ，

When Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words of Gaal the son of Ebed, his anger burned.

悄悄地打发人去见亚比米勒，说：「以别的儿子迦勒和他的弟兄到了示剑，煽惑城中的民攻击你。

qiāo qiāo dì dǎ fā rén qù jiàn yà bǐ mǐ lè ， shuō ：「 yǐ bié de ér zi jiā lè hé tā de dì xiong dào le shì jiàn ， shān huò chéng zhōng de mín gōng jī nǐ 。

He sent messengers to Abimelech craftily, saying, “Behold, Gaal the son of Ebed and his brothers have come to Shechem; and behold, they incite the city against you.

现在你和跟随你的人今夜起来，在田间埋伏。

xiàn zài nǐ hé gēn suí nǐ de rén jīn yè qǐ lái ， zài tián jiān mái fú 。

Now therefore, go up by night, you and the people who are with you, and lie in wait in the field.

到早晨太阳一出，你就起来闯城。迦勒和跟随他的人出来攻击你的时候，你便向他们见机而做。」

dào zǎo chén tài yáng yì chū ， nǐ jiù qǐ lái chuǎng chéng 。 jiā lè hé gēn suí tā de rén chū lái gōng jī nǐ de shí hòu ， nǐ biàn xiàng tā men jiàn jī ér zuò 。」

It shall be that in the morning, as soon as the sun is up, you shall rise early and rush on the city. Behold, when he and the people who are with him come out against you, then may you do to them as you shall find occasion.”

于是，亚比米勒和跟随他的众人夜间起来，分作四队，埋伏等候示剑人。

yú shì ， yà bǐ mǐ lè hé gēn suí tā de zhòng rén yè jiān qǐ lái ， fēn zuò sì duì ， mái fú děng hòu shì jiàn rén 。

Abimelech rose up, and all the people who were with him, by night, and they laid wait against Shechem in four companies.

以别的儿子迦勒出去，站在城门口。亚比米勒和跟随他的人从埋伏之处起来。

yǐ bié de ér zi jiā lè chū qù ， zhàn zài chéng mén kǒu 。 yà bǐ mǐ lè hé gēn suí tā de rén cóng mái fú zhī chù qǐ lái 。

Gaal the son of Ebed went out, and stood in the entrance of the gate of the city. Abimelech rose up, and the people who were with him, from the ambush.

迦勒看见那些人，就对西布勒说：「看哪，有人从山顶上下来了。」西布勒说：「你看见山的影子，以为是人。」

jiā lè kàn jiàn nà xiē rén ， jiù duì xī bù lè shuō ：「 kàn nǎ ， yǒu rén cóng shān dǐng shàng xià lái le 。」 xī bù lè shuō ：「 nǐ kàn jiàn shān de yǐng zi ， yǐ wéi shì rén 。」

When Gaal saw the people, he said to Zebul, “Behold, people are coming down from the tops of the mountains.” Zebul said to him, “You see the shadows of the mountains as if they were men.”

迦勒又说：「看哪，有人从高处下来，又有一队从米恶尼尼橡树的路上而来。」

jiā lè yòu shuō ：「 kàn nǎ ， yǒu rén cóng gāo chù xià lái ， yòu yǒu yí duì cóng mǐ è ní ní xiàng shù de lù shang ér lái 。」

Gaal spoke again and said, “Behold, people are coming down by the middle of the land, and one company comes by the way of the oak of Meonenim.”

西布勒对他说：「你曾说，亚比米勒是谁，叫我们服事他？你所夸的口在哪里呢？这不是你所藐视的民吗？你现在出去，与他们交战吧！」

xī bù lè duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ céng shuō ， yà bǐ mǐ lè shì shuí ， jiào wǒ men fú shì tā ？ nǐ suǒ kuā de kǒu zài nǎ lǐ ne ？ zhè bú shì nǐ suǒ miǎo shì de mín ma ？ nǐ xiàn zài chū qù ， yǔ tā men jiāo zhàn ba ！」

Then Zebul said to him, “Now where is your mouth, that you said, ‘Who is Abimelech, that we should serve him?’ Isn’t this the people that you have despised? Please go out now and fight with them.”

于是迦勒率领示剑人出去，与亚比米勒交战。

yú shì jiā lè shuài lǐng shì jiàn rén chū qù ， yǔ yà bǐ mǐ lè jiāo zhàn 。

Gaal went out before the men of Shechem, and fought with Abimelech.

亚比米勒追赶迦勒；迦勒在他面前逃跑，有许多受伤仆倒的，直到城门。

yà bǐ mǐ lè zhuī gǎn jiā lè ； jiā lè zài tā miàn qián táo pǎo ， yǒu xǔ duō shòu shāng pú dǎo de ， zhí dào chéng mén 。

Abimelech chased him, and he fled before him, and many fell wounded, even to the entrance of the gate.

亚比米勒住在亚鲁玛。西布勒赶出迦勒和他弟兄，不准他们住在示剑。

yà bǐ mǐ lè zhù zài yà lǔ mǎ 。 xī bù lè gǎn chū jiā lè hé tā dì xiong ， bù zhǔn tā men zhù zài shì jiàn 。

Abimelech lived at Arumah; and Zebul drove out Gaal and his brothers, that they should not dwell in Shechem.

次日，民出到田间，有人告诉亚比米勒；

cì rì ， mín chū dào tián jiān ， yǒu rén gào sù yà bǐ mǐ lè ；

On the next day, the people went out into the field; and they told Abimelech.

他就把他的人分作三队，埋伏在田间，看见示剑人从城里出来，就起来击杀他们。

tā jiù bǎ tā de rén fēn zuò sān duì ， mái fú zài tián jiān ， kàn jiàn shì jiàn rén cóng chéng lǐ chū lái ， jiù qǐ lái jī shā tā men 。

He took the people and divided them into three companies, and laid wait in the field; and he looked, and behold, the people came out of the city. So, he rose up against them and struck them.

亚比米勒和跟随他的一队向前闯去，站在城门口；那两队直闯到田间，击杀了众人。

yà bǐ mǐ lè hé gēn suí tā de yí duì xiàng qián chuǎng qù ， zhàn zài chéng mén kǒu ； nà liǎng duì zhí chuǎng dào tián jiān ， jī shā le zhòng rén 。

Abimelech and the companies that were with him rushed forward and stood in the entrance of the gate of the city; and the two companies rushed on all who were in the field and struck them.

亚比米勒整天攻打城，将城夺取，杀了其中的居民，将城拆毁，撒上了盐。

yà bǐ mǐ lè zhěng tiān gōng dǎ chéng ， jiāng chéng duó qǔ ， shā le qí zhōng de jū mín ， jiāng chéng chāi huǐ ， sā shàng le yán 。

Abimelech fought against the city all that day; and he took the city and killed the people in it. He beat down the city and sowed it with salt.

示剑楼的人听见了，就躲入巴力·比利土庙的卫所。

shì jiàn lóu de rén tīng jiàn le ， jiù duǒ rù bā lì · bǐ lì tǔ miào de wèi suǒ 。

When all the men of the tower of Shechem heard of it, they entered into the stronghold of the house of Elberith.

有人告诉亚比米勒说：「示剑楼的人都聚在一处。」

yǒu rén gào sù yà bǐ mǐ lè shuō ：「 shì jiàn lóu de rén dōu jù zài yí chù 。」

Abimelech was told that all the men of the tower of Shechem were gathered together.

亚比米勒和跟随他的人就都上撒们山。亚比米勒手拿斧子，砍下一根树枝，扛在肩上，对跟随他的人说：「你们看我所行的，也当赶紧照样行。」

yà bǐ mǐ lè hé gēn suí tā de rén jiù dōu shàng sā men shān 。 yà bǐ mǐ lè shǒu ná fǔ zǐ ， kǎn xià yì gēn shù zhī ， káng zài jiān shàng ， duì gēn suí tā de rén shuō ：「 nǐ men kàn wǒ suǒ xíng de ， yě dāng gǎn jǐn zhào yàng xíng 。」

Abimelech went up to Mount Zalmon, he and all the people who were with him; and Abimelech took an ax in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it up, and laid it on his shoulder. Then he said to the people who were with him, “What you have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done!”

众人就各砍一枝，跟随亚比米勒，把树枝堆在卫所的四围，放火烧了卫所，以致示剑楼的人都死了，男女约有一千。

zhòng rén jiù gè kǎn yì zhī ， gēn suí yà bǐ mǐ lè ， bǎ shù zhī duī zài wèi suǒ de sì wéi ， fàng huǒ shāo le wèi suǒ ， yǐ zhì shì jiàn lóu de rén dōu sǐ le ， nán nǚ yuē yǒu yì qiān 。

All the people likewise each cut down his bough, followed Abimelech, and put them at the base of the stronghold, and set the stronghold on fire over them, so that all the people of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.

亚比米勒到提备斯，向提备斯安营，就攻取了那城。

yà bǐ mǐ lè dào tí bèi sī ， xiàng tí bèi sī ān yíng ， jiù gōng qǔ le nà chéng 。

Then Abimelech went to Thebez and encamped against Thebez, and took it.

城中有一座坚固的楼；城里的众人，无论男女，都逃进楼去，关上门，上了楼顶。

chéng zhōng yǒu yí zuò jiān gù de lóu ； chéng lǐ de zhòng rén ， wú lùn nán nǚ ， dōu táo jìn lóu qù ， guān shàng mén ， shàng le lóu dǐng 。

But there was a strong tower within the city, and all the men and women of the city fled there, and shut themselves in, and went up to the roof of the tower.

亚比米勒到了楼前攻打，挨近楼门，要用火焚烧。

yà bǐ mǐ lè dào le lóu qián gōng dǎ ， āi jìn lóu mén ， yào yòng huǒ fén shāo 。

Abimelech came to the tower and fought against it, and came near to the door of the tower to burn it with fire.

有一个妇人把一块上磨石抛在亚比米勒的头上，打破了他的脑骨。

yǒu yí gè fù rén bǎ yí kuài shàng mó shí pāo zài yà bǐ mǐ lè de tóu shàng ， dǎ pò le tā de nǎo gǔ 。

A certain woman cast an upper millstone on Abimelech’s head, and broke his skull.

他就急忙喊叫拿他兵器的少年人，对他说：「拔出你的刀来，杀了我吧！免得人议论我说，他为一个妇人所杀。」于是少年人把他刺透，他就死了。

tā jiù jí máng hǎn jiào ná tā bīng qì de shào nián rén ， duì tā shuō ：「 bá chū nǐ de dāo lái ， shā le wǒ ba ！ miǎn de rén yì lùn wǒ shuō ， tā wèi yí gè fù rén suǒ shā 。」 yú shì shào nián rén bǎ tā cì tòu ， tā jiù sǐ le 。

Then he called hastily to the young man, his armor bearer, and said to him, “Draw your sword and kill me, that men not say of me, ‘A woman killed him.’ His young man thrust him through, and he died.”

以色列人见亚比米勒死了，便各回自己的地方去了。

yǐ sè liè rén jiàn yà bǐ mǐ lè sǐ le ， biàn gè huí zì jǐ de dì fāng qù le 。

When the men of Israel saw that Abimelech was dead, they each departed to his place.

这样， 神报应亚比米勒向他父亲所行的恶，就是杀了弟兄七十个人的恶。

zhè yàng ， shén bào yìng yà bǐ mǐ lè xiàng tā fù qīn suǒ xíng de è ， jiù shì shā le dì xiong qī shí gè rén de è 。

Thus God repaid the wickedness of Abimelech, which he did to his father in killing his seventy brothers;

示剑人的一切恶， 神也都报应在他们头上；耶路·巴力的儿子约坦的咒诅归到他们身上了。

shì jiàn rén de yí qiè è ， shén yě dōu bào yìng zài tā men tóu shàng ； yē lù · bā lì de ér zi yuē tǎn de zhòu zǔ guī dào tā men shēn shàng le 。

and God repaid all the wickedness of the men of Shechem on their heads; and the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal came on them.
