yē sū yòu duì mén tú shuō :「 yǒu yí gè cái zhǔ de guǎn jiā , bié rén xiàng tā zhǔ rén gào tā làng fèi zhǔ rén de cái wù 。

He also said to his disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.

zhǔ rén jiào tā lái , duì tā shuō :『 wǒ tīng jiàn nǐ zhè shì zěn me yàng ne ? bǎ nǐ suǒ jīng guǎn de jiāo dài míng bái , yīn nǐ bù néng zài zuò wǒ de guǎn jiā 。』

He called him, and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’

:『

nà guǎn jiā xīn lǐ shuō :『 zhǔ rén cí wǒ , bú yòng wǒ zài zuò guǎn jiā , wǒ jiāng lái zuò shén me ? chú dì ne ? wú lì ; tǎo fàn ne ? pà xiū 。

“The manager said within himself, ‘What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.

。』

wǒ zhī dào zěn me xíng , hǎo jiào rén zài wǒ bú zuò guǎn jiā zhī hòu , jiē wǒ dào tā men jiā lǐ qù 。』

I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’

yú shì bǎ qiàn tā zhǔ rén zhài de , yí gè yi gè dì jiào le lái , wèn tóu yí gè shuō :『 nǐ qiàn wǒ zhǔ rén duō shǎo ?』

Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’

tā shuō :『 yì bǎi lǒu yóu 。』 guǎn jiā shuō :『 ná nǐ de zhàng , kuài zuò xià , xiě wǔ shí 。』

He said, ‘A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’

yòu wèn yí gè shuō :『 nǐ qiàn duō shǎo ?』 tā shuō :『 yì bǎi shí mài zi 。』 guǎn jiā shuō :『 ná nǐ de zhàng , xiě bā shí 。』

Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’

zhǔ rén jiù kuā jiǎng zhè bú yì de guǎn jiā zuò shì cōng míng ; yīn wèi jīn shì zhī zǐ , zài shì shì zhī shàng , jiào bǐ guāng míng zhī zǐ gèng jiā cōng ming 。

“His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.

wǒ yòu gào sù nǐ men , yào jiè zhe nà bú yì de qián cái jié jiāo péng yǒu , dào le qián cái wú yòng de shí hòu , tā men kě yǐ jiē nǐ men dào yǒng cún de zhàng mù lǐ qù 。

I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.

rén zài zuì xiǎo de shì shàng zhōng xīn , zài dà shì shàng yě zhōng xīn ; zài zuì xiǎo de shì shàng bú yì , zài dà shì shàng yě bú yì 。

He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

tǎng ruò nǐ men zài bú yì de qián cái shàng bù zhōng xīn , shuí hái bǎ nà zhēn shí de qián cái tuō fù nǐ men ne ?

If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

西西

tǎng ruò nǐ men zài bié rén de dōng xī shàng bù zhōng xīn , shuí hái bǎ nǐ men zì jǐ de dōng xī gěi nǐ men ne ?

If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

。」

yí gè pú rén bù néng shì fèng liǎng gè zhǔ ; bú shì è zhè ge ài nà ge , jiù shì zhòng zhè ge qīng nà ge 。 nǐ men bù néng yòu shì fèng shén , yòu shì fèng mǎ mén 。」

No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.”

fǎ lì sài rén shì tān ài qián cái de ; tā men tīng jiàn zhè yí qiè huà , jiù chī xiào yē sū 。

The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.

:「

yē sū duì tā men shuō :「 nǐ men shì zài rén miàn qián zì chēng wéi yì de , nǐ men de xīn , shén què zhī dào ; yīn wèi rén suǒ zūn guì de , shì shén kàn wèi kě zēng wù de 。

He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

lǜ fǎ hé xiān zhī dào yuē hàn wéi zhǐ , cóng cǐ shén guó de fú yīn chuán kāi le , rén rén nǔ lì yào jìn qù 。

“The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of God’s Kingdom is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.

tiān dì fèi qù jiào bǐ lǜ fǎ de yì diǎn yí huà luò kōng hái róng yì 。

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.

。」

fán xiū qī lìng qǔ de jiù shì fàn jiān yín ; qǔ bèi xiū zhī qī de yě shì fàn jiān yín 。」

“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.

「 yǒu yí gè cái zhǔ chuān zhe zǐ sè páo hé xì má bù yī fu , tiān tiān shē huá yàn lè 。

“Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.

yòu yǒu yí gè tǎo fàn de , míng jiào lā sā lù , hún shēn shēng chuāng , bèi rén fàng zài cái zhǔ mén kǒu ,

A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was taken to his gate, full of sores,

yào dé cái zhǔ zhuō zi shàng diào xià lái de líng suì chōng jī , bìng qiě gǒu lái tiǎn tā de chuāng 。

and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores.

使怀

hòu lái nà tǎo fàn de sǐ le , bèi tiān shǐ dài qù fàng zài yà bó lā hǎn de huái lǐ 。 cái zhǔ yě sǐ le , bìng qiě mái zàng le 。

The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

怀

tā zài yīn jiān shòu tòng kǔ , jǔ mù yuǎn yuǎn dì wàng jiàn yà bó lā hǎn , yòu wàng jiàn lā sā lù zài tā huái lǐ ,

In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.

jiù hǎn zhe shuō :『 wǒ zǔ yà bó lā hǎn nǎ , kě lián wǒ ba ! dǎ fā lā sā lù lái , yòng zhǐ tou jiān zhàn diǎn shuǐ , liáng liáng wǒ de shé tou ; yīn wèi wǒ zài zhè huǒ yàn lǐ , jí qí tòng kǔ 。』

He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’

:『

yà bó lā hǎn shuō :『 ér a , nǐ gāi huí xiǎng nǐ shēng qián xiǎng guò fú , lā sā lù yě shòu guò kǔ ; rú jīn tā zài zhè lǐ dé ān wèi , nǐ dǎo shòu tòng kǔ 。

“But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted and you are in anguish.

。』

bú dàn zhè yàng , bìng qiě zài nǐ wǒ zhī jiān , yǒu shēn yuān xiàn dìng , yǐ zhì rén yào cóng zhè biān guò dào nǐ men nà biān shì bù néng de ; yào cóng nà biān guò dào wǒ men zhè biān yě shì bù néng de 。』

Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that no one may cross over from there to us.’

:『

cái zhǔ shuō :『 wǒ zǔ a ! jì shì zhè yàng , qiú nǐ dǎ fā lā sā lù dào wǒ fù jiā qù ;

“He said, ‘I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house—

。』

yīn wèi wǒ hái yǒu wǔ gè dì xiong , tā kě yǐ duì tā men zuò jiàn zhèng , miǎn de tā men yě lái dào zhè tòng kǔ de dì fāng 。』

for I have five brothers—that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’

:『西。』

yà bó lā hǎn shuō :『 tā men yǒu mó xī hé xiān zhī de huà kě yǐ tīng cóng 。』

“But Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’

:『。』

tā shuō :『 wǒ zǔ yà bó lā hǎn nǎ , bú shì de , ruò yǒu yí gè cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó de , dào tā men nà lǐ qù de , tā men bì yào huǐ gǎi 。』

“He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

:『西。』」

yà bó lā hǎn shuō :『 ruò bù tīng cóng mó xī hé xiān zhī de huà , jiù shì yǒu yí gè cóng sǐ lǐ fù huó de , tā men yě shì bù tīng quàn 。』」

“He said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”
