dāng shí , yē sū bèi shèng líng yǐn dào kuàng yě , shòu mó guǐ de shì tàn 。

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

饿

tā jìn shí sì shí zhòu yè , hòu lái jiù è le 。

When he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.

:「 。」

nà shì tàn rén de jìn qián lái , duì tā shuō :「 nǐ ruò shì shén de ér zi , kě yǐ fēn fù zhè xiē shí tou biàn chéng shí wù 。」

The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

:「 。」

yē sū què huí dá shuō :「 jīng shàng jì zhe shuō : rén huó zhe , bú shì dān kào shí wù , nǎi shì kào shén kǒu lǐ suǒ chū de yí qiè huà 。」

But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’”

殿

mó guǐ jiù dài tā jìn le shèng chéng , jiào tā zhàn zài diàn dǐng shàng ,

Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,

:「 使 。」

duì tā shuō :「 nǐ ruò shì shén de ér zi , kě yǐ tiào xià qù , yīn wèi jīng shàng jì zhe shuō : zhǔ yào wèi nǐ fēn fù tā de shǐ zhě yòng shǒu tuō zhe nǐ , miǎn de nǐ de jiǎo pèng zài shí tou shàng 。」

and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’”

yē sū duì tā shuō :「 jīng shàng yòu jì zhe shuō :『 bù kě shì tàn zhǔ — nǐ de shén 。』」

Jesus said to him, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’”

mó guǐ yòu dài tā shàng le yí zuò zuì gāo de shān , jiāng shì shàng de wàn guó yǔ wàn guó de róng huá dōu zhǐ gěi tā kàn ,

Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

duì tā shuō :「 nǐ ruò fǔ fú bài wǒ , wǒ jiù bǎ zhè yí qiè dōu cì gěi nǐ 。」

He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”

:「退 。」

yē sū shuō :「 sā dàn , tuì qù ba ! yīn wèi jīng shàng jì zhe shuō : dāng bài zhǔ — nǐ de shén , dān yào shì fèng tā 。」

Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”

使

yú shì , mó guǐ lí le yē sū , yǒu tiān shǐ lái cì hou tā 。

Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and served him.

退

yē sū tīng jiàn yuē hàn xià le jiān , jiù tuì dào jiā lì lì qù ;

Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.

西

hòu yòu lí kāi ná sā lè , wǎng jiā bǎi nóng qù , jiù zhù zài nà lǐ 。 nà dì fāng kào hǎi , zài xī bù lún hé ná fú tā lì de biān jiè shàng 。

Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,

zhè shì yào yìng yàn xiān zhī yǐ sài yà de huà ,

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,

shuō : xī bù lún dì , ná fú tā lì dì , jiù shì yán hǎi de lù , yuē dàn hé wài , wài bāng rén de jiā lì lì dì —

“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,

nà zuò zài hēi àn lǐ de bǎi xìng kàn jiàn le dà guāng ; zuò zài sǐ yìn zhī dì de rén yǒu guāng fā xiàn zhào zhe tā men 。

the people who sat in darkness saw a great light; to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them light has dawned.”

cóng nà shí hòu , yē sū jiù chuán qǐ dào lái , shuō :「 tiān guó jìn le , nǐ men yīng dāng huǐ gǎi !」

From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

yē sū zài jiā lì lì hǎi biān xíng zǒu , kàn jiàn dì xiong èr rén , jiù shì nà chēng hu bǐ dé de xī mén hé tā xiōng dì ān dé liè , zài hǎi lǐ sā wǎng ; tā men běn shì dǎ yú de 。

Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

:「。」

yē sū duì tā men shuō :「 lái gēn cóng wǒ , wǒ yào jiào nǐ men dé rén rú dé yú yí yàng 。」

He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”

tā men jiù lì kè shè le wǎng , gēn cóng le tā 。

They immediately left their nets and followed him.

cóng nà lǐ wǎng qián zǒu , yòu kàn jiàn dì xiong èr rén , jiù shì xī bì tài de ér zi yǎ gè hé tā xiōng dì yuē hàn , tóng tā men de fù qīn xī bì tài zài chuán shàng bǔ wǎng , yē sū jiù zhāo hū tā men ,

Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.

tā men lì kè shè le chuán , bié le fù qīn , gēn cóng le yē sū 。

They immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.

yē sū zǒu biàn jiā lì lì , zài gè huì táng lǐ jiào xùn rén , chuán tiān guó de fú yīn , yī zhì bǎi xìng gè yàng de bìng zhèng 。

Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

tā de míng shēng jiù chuán biàn le xù lì yà 。 nà lǐ de rén bǎ yí qiè hài bìng de , jiù shì hài gè yàng jí bìng 、 gè yàng téng tòng de hé bèi guǐ fù de 、 diān xián de 、 tān huàn de , dōu dài le lái , yē sū jiù zhì hǎo le tā men 。

The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.

dāng xià , yǒu xǔ duō rén cóng jiā lì lì 、 dī jiā pō lǐ 、 yē lù sā lěng 、 yóu tài 、 yuē dàn hé wài lái gēn zhe tā 。

Great multitudes from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
