以色列人住在什亭，百姓与摩押女子行起淫乱。
yǐ sè liè rén zhù zài shén tíng ， bǎi xìng yǔ mó yā nǚ zǐ xíng qǐ yín luàn 。
Israel stayed in Shittim; and the people began to play the prostitute with the daughters of Moab;
因为这女子叫百姓来，一同给她们的神献祭，百姓就吃她们的祭物，跪拜她们的神。
yīn wèi zhè nǚ zǐ jiào bǎi xìng lái ， yì tóng gěi tā men de shén xiàn jì ， bǎi xìng jiù chī tā men de jì wù ， guì bài tā men de shén 。
for they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods. The people ate and bowed down to their gods.
以色列人与巴力·毗珥连合，耶和华的怒气就向以色列人发作。
yǐ sè liè rén yǔ bā lì · pí ěr lián hé ， yē hé huá de nù qì jiù xiàng yǐ sè liè rén fā zuò 。
Israel joined himself to Baal Peor, and the LORD’s anger burned against Israel.
耶和华吩咐摩西说：「将百姓中所有的族长在我面前对着日头悬挂，使我向以色列人所发的怒气可以消了。」
yē hé huá fēn fù mó xī shuō ：「 jiāng bǎi xìng zhōng suǒ yǒu de zú zhǎng zài wǒ miàn qián duì zhe rì tou xuán guà ， shǐ wǒ xiàng yǐ sè liè rén suǒ fā de nù qì kě yǐ xiāo le 。」
The LORD said to Moses, “Take all the chiefs of the people, and hang them up to the LORD before the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel.”
于是摩西吩咐以色列的审判官说：「凡属你们的人，有与巴力·毗珥连合的，你们各人要把他们杀了。」
yú shì mó xī fēn fù yǐ sè liè de shěn pàn guān shuō ：「 fán shǔ nǐ men de rén ， yǒu yǔ bā lì · pí ěr lián hé de ， nǐ men gè rén yào bǎ tā men shā le 。」
Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Everyone kill his men who have joined themselves to Baal Peor.”
摩西和以色列全会众正在会幕门前哭泣的时候，谁知，有以色列中的一个人，当他们眼前，带着一个米甸女人到他弟兄那里去。
mó xī hé yǐ sè liè quán huì zhòng zhèng zài huì mù mén qián kū qì de shí hòu ， shuí zhī ， yǒu yǐ sè liè zhōng de yí gè rén ， dāng tā men yǎn qián ， dài zhe yí gè mǐ diàn nǚ rén dào tā dì xiong nà lǐ qù 。
Behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought to his brothers a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the door of the Tent of Meeting.
祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈看见了，就从会中起来，手里拿着枪，
jì sī yà lún de sūn zi ， yǐ lì yà sā de ér zi fēi ní hā kàn jiàn le ， jiù cóng huì zhōng qǐ lái ， shǒu lǐ ná zhe qiāng ，
When Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from the middle of the congregation, and took a spear in his hand.
跟随那以色列人进亭子里去，便将以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。这样，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。
gēn suí nà yǐ sè liè rén jìn tíng zi lǐ qù ， biàn jiāng yǐ sè liè rén hé nà nǚ rén yóu fù zhōng cì tòu 。 zhè yàng ， zài yǐ sè liè rén zhōng wēn yì jiù zhǐ xī le 。
He went after the man of Israel into the pavilion, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So the plague was stopped among the children of Israel.
那时遭瘟疫死的，有二万四千人。
nà shí zāo wēn yì sǐ de ， yǒu èr wàn sì qiān rén 。
Those who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand.
「祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，使我向以色列人所发的怒消了；因他在他们中间，以我的忌邪为心，使我不在忌邪中把他们除灭。
「 jì sī yà lún de sūn zi ， yǐ lì yà sā de ér zǐ fēi ní hā ， shǐ wǒ xiàng yǐ sè liè rén suǒ fā de nù xiāo le ； yīn tā zài tā men zhōng jiān ， yǐ wǒ de jì xié wèi xīn ， shǐ wǒ bú zài jì xié zhōng bǎ tā men chú miè 。
“Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I didn’t consume the children of Israel in my jealousy.
因此，你要说：『我将我平安的约赐给他。
yīn cǐ ， nǐ yào shuō ：『 wǒ jiāng wǒ píng ān de yuē cì gěi tā 。
Therefore say, ‘Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace.
这约要给他和他的后裔，作为永远当祭司职任的约；因他为 神有忌邪的心，为以色列人赎罪。』」
zhè yuē yào gěi tā hé tā de hòu yì ， zuò wéi yǒng yuǎn dāng jì sī zhí rèn de yuē ； yīn tā wèi shén yǒu jì xié de xīn ， wèi yǐ sè liè rén shú zuì 。』」
It shall be to him, and to his offspring after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was jealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.’”
那与米甸女人一同被杀的以色列人，名叫心利，是撒路的儿子，是西缅一个宗族的首领。
nà yǔ mǐ diàn nǚ rén yì tóng bèi shā de yǐ sè liè rén ， míng jiào xīn lì ， shì sā lù de ér zi ， shì xī miǎn yí gè zōng zú de shǒu lǐng 。
Now the name of the man of Israel that was slain, who was slain with the Midianite woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a fathers’ house among the Simeonites.
那被杀的米甸女人，名叫哥斯比，是苏珥的女儿；这苏珥是米甸一个宗族的首领。
nà bèi shā de mǐ diàn nǚ rén ， míng jiào gē sī bǐ ， shì sū ěr de nǚ ér ； zhè sū ěr shì mǐ diàn yí gè zōng zú de shǒu lǐng 。
The name of the Midianite woman who was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur. He was head of the people of a fathers’ house in Midian.
「你要扰害米甸人，击杀他们；
「 nǐ yào rǎo hài mǐ diàn rén ， jī shā tā men ；
“Harass the Midianites, and strike them;
因为他们用诡计扰害你们，在毗珥的事上和他们的姊妹、米甸首领的女儿哥斯比的事上，用这诡计诱惑了你们；这哥斯比，当瘟疫流行的日子，因毗珥的事被杀了。」
yīn wèi tā men yòng guǐ jì rǎo hài nǐ men ， zài pí ěr de shì shàng hé tā men de zǐ mèi 、 mǐ diàn shǒu lǐng de nǚ ér gē sī bǐ de shì shàng ， yòng zhè guǐ jì yòu huò le nǐ men ； zhè gē sī bǐ ， dāng wēn yì liú xíng de rì zi ， yīn pí ěr de shì bèi shā le 。」
for they harassed you with their wiles, wherein they have deceived you in the matter of Peor, and in the incident regarding Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Midian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plague in the matter of Peor.”
