箴言 27

不要为明日自夸， 因为一日要生何事，你尚且不能知道。

bú yào wèi míng rì zì kuā ， yīn wèi yí rì yào shēng hé shì ， nǐ shàng qiě bù néng zhī dào 。

Don’t boast about tomorrow; for you don’t know what a day may bring.

要别人夸奖你，不可用口自夸； 等外人称赞你，不可用嘴自称。

yào bié ren kuā jiǎng nǐ ， bù kě yòng kǒu zì kuā ； děng wài rén chēng zàn nǐ ， bù kě yòng zuǐ zì chēng 。

Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.

石头重，沙土沉， 愚妄人的恼怒比这两样更重。

shí tou zhòng ， shā tǔ chén ， yú wàng rén de nǎo nù bǐ zhè liǎng yàng gèng zhòng 。

A stone is heavy, and sand is a burden; but a fool’s provocation is heavier than both.

忿怒为残忍，怒气为狂澜， 惟有嫉妒，谁能敌得住呢？

fèn nù wèi cán rěn ， nù qì wèi kuáng lán ， wéi yǒu jí dù ， shuí néng dí de zhù ne ？

Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; but who is able to stand before jealousy?

当面的责备强如背地的爱情。

dāng miàn de zé bèi qiáng rú bèi dì de ài qíng 。

Better is open rebuke than hidden love.

朋友加的伤痕出于忠诚； 仇敌连连亲嘴却是多余。

péng you jiā de shāng hén chū yú zhōng chéng ； chóu dí lián lián qīn zuǐ què shì duō yú 。

The wounds of a friend are faithful, although the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

人吃饱了，厌恶蜂房的蜜； 人饥饿了，一切苦物都觉甘甜。

rén chī bǎo le ， yàn wù fēng fáng de mì ； rén jī è le ， yí qiè kǔ wù dōu jué gān tián 。

A full soul loathes a honeycomb; but to a hungry soul, every bitter thing is sweet.

人离本处飘流， 好像雀鸟离窝游飞。

rén lí běn chù piāo liú ， hǎo xiàng què niǎo lí wō yóu fēi 。

As a bird that wanders from her nest, so is a man who wanders from his home.

膏油与香料使人心喜悦； 朋友诚实的劝教也是如此甘美。

gāo yóu yǔ xiāng liào shǐ rén xīn xǐ yuè ； péng you chéng shí de quàn jiào yě shì rú cǐ gān měi 。

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart; so does earnest counsel from a man’s friend.

你的朋友和父亲的朋友， 你都不可离弃。 你遭难的日子，不要上弟兄的家去； 相近的邻舍强如远方的弟兄。

nǐ de péng you hé fù qīn de péng you ， nǐ dōu bù kě lí qì 。 nǐ zāo nàn de rì zi ， bú yào shàng dì xiong de jiā qù ； xiāng jìn de lín shè qiáng rú yuǎn fāng de dì xiong 。

Don’t forsake your friend and your father’s friend. Don’t go to your brother’s house in the day of your disaster. A neighbor who is near is better than a distant brother.

我儿，你要作智慧人，好叫我的心欢喜， 使我可以回答那讥诮我的人。

wǒ ér ， nǐ yào zuò zhì huì rén ， hǎo jiào wǒ de xīn huān xǐ ， shǐ wǒ kě yǐ huí dá nà jī qiào wǒ de rén 。

Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart, then I can answer my tormentor.

通达人见祸藏躲； 愚蒙人前往受害。

tōng dá rén jiàn huò cáng duǒ ； yú méng rén qián wǎng shòu hài 。

A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.

谁为生人作保，就拿谁的衣服； 谁为外女作保，谁就承当。

shuí wéi shēng rén zuò bǎo ， jiù ná shuí de yī fu ； shuí wèi wài nǚ zuò bǎo ， shuí jiù chéng dāng 。

Take his garment when he puts up collateral for a stranger. Hold it for a wayward woman!

清晨起来，大声给朋友祝福的， 就算是咒诅他。

qīng chén qǐ lái ， dà shēng gěi péng you zhù fú de ， jiù suàn shì zhòu zǔ tā 。

He who blesses his neighbor with a loud voice early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse by him.

大雨之日连连滴漏， 和争吵的妇人一样；

dà yǔ zhī rì lián lián dī lòu ， hé zhēng chǎo de fù rén yí yàng ；

A continual dropping on a rainy day and a contentious wife are alike:

想拦阻她的，便是拦阻风， 也是右手抓油。

xiǎng lán zǔ tā de ， biàn shì lán zǔ fēng ， yě shì yòu shǒu zhuā yóu 。

restraining her is like restraining the wind, or like grasping oil in his right hand.

铁磨铁，磨出刃来； 朋友相感 也是如此。

tiě mó tiě ， mó chū rèn lái ； péng you xiāng gǎn yě shì rú cǐ 。

Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance.

看守无花果树的，必吃树上的果子； 敬奉主人的，必得尊荣。

kān shǒu wú huā guǒ shù de ， bì chī shù shàng de guǒ zi ； jìng fèng zhǔ rén de ， bì dé zūn róng 。

Whoever tends the fig tree shall eat its fruit. He who looks after his master shall be honored.

水中照脸，彼此相符； 人与人，心也相对。

shuǐ zhōng zhào liǎn ， bǐ cǐ xiāng fú ； rén yǔ rén ， xīn yě xiāng duì 。

Like water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man.

阴间和灭亡永不满足； 人的眼目也是如此。

yīn jiān hé miè wáng yǒng bù mǎn zú ； rén de yǎn mù yě shì rú cǐ 。

Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; and a man’s eyes are never satisfied.

鼎为炼银，炉为炼金， 人的称赞也试炼人。

dǐng wèi liàn yín ， lú wèi liàn jīn ， rén de chēng zàn yě shì liàn rén 。

The crucible is for silver, and the furnace for gold; but man is refined by his praise.

你虽用杵将愚妄人与打碎的麦子一同捣在臼中， 他的愚妄还是离不了他。

nǐ suī yòng chǔ jiāng yú wàng rén yǔ dǎ suì de mài zi yì tóng dǎo zài jiù zhōng ， tā de yú wàng hái shi lí bù liǎo tā 。

Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with grain, yet his foolishness will not be removed from him.

你要详细知道你羊群的景况， 留心料理你的牛群；

nǐ yào xiáng xì zhī dào nǐ yáng qún de jǐng kuàng ， liú xīn liào lǐ nǐ de niú qún ；

Know well the state of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds,

因为资财不能永有， 冠冕岂能存到万代？

yīn wèi zī cái bù néng yǒng yǒu ， guān miǎn qǐ néng cún dào wàn dài ？

for riches are not forever, nor does the crown endure to all generations.

干草割去，嫩草发现， 山上的菜蔬也被收敛。

gān cǎo gē qù ， nèn cǎo fā xiàn ， shān shàng de cài shū yě bèi shōu liǎn 。

The hay is removed, and the new growth appears, the grasses of the hills are gathered in.

羊羔之毛是为你作衣服； 山羊是为作田地的价值，

yáng gāo zhī máo shì wèi nǐ zuò yī fu ； shān yáng shì wèi zuò tián dì de jià zhí ，

The lambs are for your clothing, and the goats are the price of a field.

并有母山羊奶够你吃， 也够你的家眷吃， 且够养你的婢女。

bìng yǒu mǔ shān yáng nǎi gòu nǐ chī ， yě gòu nǐ de jiā juàn chī ， qiě gòu yǎng nǐ de bì nǚ 。

There will be plenty of goats’ milk for your food, for your family’s food, and for the nourishment of your servant girls.
