wǒ mèi zǐ , wǒ xīn fù , wǒ jìn le wǒ de yuán zhōng , cǎi le wǒ de mò yào hé xiāng liào , chī le wǒ de mì fáng hé fēng mì , hē le wǒ de jiǔ hé nǎi 。 〔 yē lù sā lěng de zhòng nǚ zǐ 〕 wǒ de péng yǒu men , qǐng chī ! wǒ suǒ qīn ài de , qǐng hē , qiě duō duō dì hē !

I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride. I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Friends Eat, friends! Drink, yes, drink abundantly, beloved.

wǒ shēn shuì wò , wǒ xīn què xǐng 。 zhè shì wǒ liáng rén de shēng yīn ; tā qiāo mén shuō : 〔 xīn láng 〕 wǒ de mèi zǐ , wǒ de jiā ǒu , wǒ de gē zi , wǒ de wán quán rén , qiú nǐ gěi wǒ kāi mén ; yīn wǒ de tóu mǎn le lù shuǐ , wǒ de tóu fa bèi yè lù dī shī 。

便

wǒ de liáng rén cóng mén kǒng lǐ shēn jìn shǒu lái , wǒ biàn yīn tā dòng le xīn 。

My beloved thrust his hand in through the latch opening. My heart pounded for him.

wǒ qǐ lái , yào gěi wǒ liáng rén kāi mén 。 wǒ de liǎng shǒu dī xià mò yào ; wǒ de zhǐ tou yǒu mò yào zhī dī zài mén shuān shàng 。

I rose up to open for my beloved. My hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with liquid myrrh, on the handles of the lock.

wǒ gěi wǒ de liáng rén kāi le mén ; wǒ de liáng rén què yǐ zhuǎn shēn zǒu le 。 tā shuō huà de shí hòu , wǒ shén bù shǒu shè ; wǒ xún zhǎo tā , jìng xún bú jiàn ; wǒ hū jiào tā , tā què bù huí dá 。

I opened to my beloved; but my beloved left, and had gone away. My heart went out when he spoke. I looked for him, but I didn’t find him. I called him, but he didn’t answer.

chéng zhōng xún luó kān shǒu de rén yù jiàn wǒ , dǎ le wǒ , shāng le wǒ ; kān shǒu chéng qiáng de rén duó qù wǒ de pī jiān 。

The watchmen who go about the city found me. They beat me. They bruised me. The keepers of the walls took my cloak away from me.

yē lù sā lěng de zhòng nǚ zǐ a , wǒ zhǔ fù nǐ men : ruò yù jiàn wǒ de liáng rén , yào gào sù tā , wǒ yīn sī ài chéng bìng 。

I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, If you find my beloved, that you tell him that I am faint with love.

nǐ zhè nǚ zǐ zhōng jí měi lì de , nǐ de liáng rén bǐ bié rén de liáng rén yǒu hé qiáng chù ? nǐ de liáng rén bǐ bié rén de liáng rén yǒu hé qiáng chù , nǐ jiù zhè yàng zhǔ fù wǒ men ?

How is your beloved better than another beloved, you fairest among women? How is your beloved better than another beloved, that you do so adjure us?

wǒ de liáng rén bái ér qiě hóng , chāo hū wàn rén zhī shàng 。

My beloved is white and ruddy. The best among ten thousand.

tā de tóu xiàng zhì jīng de jīn zǐ ; tā de tóu fa hòu mì lèi chuí , hēi rú wū yā 。

His head is like the purest gold. His hair is bushy, black as a raven.

tā de yǎn rú xī shuǐ páng de gē zi yǎn , yòng nǎi xǐ jìng , ān dé hé shì 。

His eyes are like doves beside the water brooks, washed with milk, mounted like jewels.

tā de liǎng sāi rú xiāng huā qí , rú xiāng cǎo tái ; tā de zuǐ chún xiàng bǎi hé huā , qiě dī xià mò yào zhī 。

His cheeks are like a bed of spices with towers of perfumes. His lips are like lilies, dropping liquid myrrh.

tā de liǎng shǒu hǎo xiàng jīn guǎn , xiāng qiàn shuǐ cāng yù ; tā de shēn tǐ rú tóng diāo kè de xiàng yá , zhōu wéi xiāng qiàn lán bǎo shí 。

His hands are like rings of gold set with beryl. His body is like ivory work overlaid with sapphires.

tā de tuǐ hǎo xiàng bái yù shí zhù , ān zài jīng jīn zuò shàng ; tā de xíng zhuàng rú lí bā nèn , qiě jiā měi rú xiāng bǎi shù 。

His legs are like pillars of marble set on sockets of fine gold. His appearance is like Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.

tā de kǒu jí qí gān tián ; tā quán rán kě ài 。 yē lù sā lěng de zhòng nǚ zǐ a , zhè shì wǒ de liáng rén ; zhè shì wǒ de péng yǒu 。

His mouth is sweetness; yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, daughters of Jerusalem.
