他们却不肯听从，扭转肩头，塞耳不听，
tā men què bù kěn tīng cóng ， niǔ zhuǎn jiān tóu ， sāi ěr bù tīng ，
But they refused to listen, and turned their backs, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.
