猶大王約沙法十八年，亞哈的兒子約蘭在撒馬利亞登基作了以色列王十二年。

yóu dà wáng yuē shā fǎ shí bā nián ， yà hā de ér zi yuē lán zài sā mǎ lì yà dēng jī zuò le yǐ sè liè wáng shí èr nián 。

Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.

他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，但不致像他父母所行的，因為除掉他父所造巴力的柱像。

tā xíng yē hé huá yǎn zhōng kàn wèi è de shì ， dàn bú zhì xiàng tā fù mǔ suǒ xíng de ， yīn wèi chú diào tā fù suǒ zào bā lì de zhù xiàng 。

He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, but not like his father and like his mother, for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made.

然而，他貼近尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裏的那罪，總不離開。

rán ér ， tā tiē jìn ní bā de ér zi yē luó bō ān shǐ yǐ sè liè rén xiàn zài zuì lǐ de nà zuì ， zǒng bù lí kāi 。

Nevertheless he held to the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. He didn’t depart from them.

摩押王米沙牧養許多羊，每年將十萬羊羔的毛和十萬公綿羊的毛給以色列王進貢。

mó yā wáng mǐ shā mù yǎng xǔ duō yáng ， měi nián jiāng shí wàn yáng gāo de máo hé shí wàn gōng mián yáng de máo gěi yǐ sè liè wáng jìn gòng 。

Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder; and he supplied the king of Israel with one hundred thousand lambs and the wool of one hundred thousand rams.

亞哈死後，摩押王背叛以色列王。

yà hā sǐ hòu ， mó yā wáng bèi pàn yǐ sè liè wáng 。

But when Ahab was dead, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

那時約蘭王出撒馬利亞，數點以色列眾人。

nà shí yuē lán wáng chū sā mǎ lì yà ， shù diǎn yǐ sè liè zhòng rén 。

King Jehoram went out of Samaria at that time, and mustered all Israel.

前行的時候，差人去見猶大王約沙法，說：「摩押王背叛我，你肯同我去攻打摩押嗎？」他說：「我肯上去，你我不分彼此，我的民與你的民一樣，我的馬與你的馬一樣。」

qián xíng de shí hòu ， chà rén qù jiàn yóu dà wáng yuē shā fǎ ， shuō ：「 mó yā wáng bèi pàn wǒ ， nǐ kěn tóng wǒ qù gōng dǎ mó yā ma ？」 tā shuō ：「 wǒ kěn shàng qù ， nǐ wǒ bù fēn bǐ cǐ ， wǒ de mín yǔ nǐ de mín yí yàng ， wǒ de mǎ yǔ nǐ de mǎ yí yàng 。」

He went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me against Moab to battle?” He said, “I will go up. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

約蘭說：「我們從哪條路上去呢？」回答說：「從以東曠野的路上去。」

yuē lán shuō ：「 wǒ men cóng nǎ tiáo lù shang qù ne ？」 huí dá shuō ：「 cóng yǐ dōng kuàng yě de lù shang qù 。」

Then he said, “Which way shall we go up?” Jehoram answered, “The way of the wilderness of Edom.”

於是，以色列王和猶大王，並以東王，都一同去繞行七日的路程；軍隊和所帶的牲畜沒有水喝。

yú shì ， yǐ sè liè wáng hé yóu dà wáng ， bìng yǐ dōng wáng ， dōu yì tóng qù rào xíng qī rì de lù chéng ； jūn duì hé suǒ dài de shēng chù méi yǒu shuǐ hē 。

So the king of Israel went with the king of Judah and the king of Edom, and they marched for seven days along a circuitous route. There was no water for the army or for the animals that followed them.

以色列王說：「哀哉！耶和華招聚我們這三王，乃要交在摩押人的手裏。」

yǐ sè liè wáng shuō ：「 āi zāi ！ yē hé huá zhāo jù wǒ men zhè sān wáng ， nǎi yào jiāo zài mó yā rén de shǒu lǐ 。」

The king of Israel said, “Alas! For the LORD has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”

約沙法說：「這裏不是有耶和華的先知嗎？我們可以託他求問耶和華。」以色列王的一個臣子回答說：「這裏有沙法的兒子以利沙，就是從前服事以利亞的 。」

yuē shā fǎ shuō ：「 zhè lǐ bú shì yǒu yē hé huá de xiān zhī ma ？ wǒ men kě yǐ tuō tā qiú wèn yē hé huá 。」 yǐ sè liè wáng de yí gè chén zǐ huí dá shuō ：「 zhè lǐ yǒu shā fǎ de ér zi yǐ lì shā ， jiù shì cóng qián fú shì yǐ lì yà de 。」

But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD by him?” One of the king of Israel’s servants answered, “Elisha the son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah, is here.”

約沙法說：「他必有耶和華的話。」於是以色列王和約沙法，並以東王都下去見他。

yuē shā fǎ shuō ：「 tā bì yǒu yē hé huá de huà 。」 yú shì yǐ sè liè wáng hé yuē shā fǎ ， bìng yǐ dōng wáng dū xià qù jiàn tā 。

Jehoshaphat said, “The LORD’s word is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

以利沙對以色列王說：「我與你何干？去問你父親的先知和你母親的先知吧！」以色列王對他說：「不要這樣說，耶和華招聚我們這三王，乃要交在摩押人的手裏。」

yǐ lì shā duì yǐ sè liè wáng shuō ：「 wǒ yǔ nǐ hé gān ？ qù wèn nǐ fù qīn de xiān zhī hé nǐ mǔ qīn de xiān zhī ba ！」 yǐ sè liè wáng duì tā shuō ：「 bú yào zhè yàng shuō ， yē hé huá zhāo jù wǒ men zhè sān wáng ， nǎi yào jiāo zài mó yā rén de shǒu lǐ 。」

Elisha said to the king of Israel, “What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother.” The king of Israel said to him, “No, for the LORD has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”

以利沙說：「我指着所事奉永生的萬軍耶和華起誓，我若不看猶大王約沙法的情面，必不理你，不顧你。

yǐ lì shā shuō ：「 wǒ zhǐ zhe suǒ shì fèng yǒng shēng de wàn jūn yē hé huá qǐ shì ， wǒ ruò bú kàn yóu dà wáng yuē shā fǎ de qíng miàn ， bì bù lǐ nǐ ， bú gù nǐ 。

Elisha said, “As the LORD of Armies lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I respect the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.

現在你們給我找一個彈琴的來。」彈琴的時候，耶和華的靈 就降在以利沙身上。

xiàn zài nǐ men gěi wǒ zhǎo yí gè tán qín de lái 。」 tán qín de shí hòu ， yē hé huá de líng jiù jiàng zài yǐ lì shā shēn shàng 。

But now bring me a musician.” When the musician played, the LORD’s hand came on him.

他便說：「耶和華如此說：『你們要在這谷中滿處挖溝；

tā biàn shuō ：「 yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ：『 nǐ men yào zài zhè gǔ zhōng mǎn chù wā gōu ；

He said, “The LORD says, ‘Make this valley full of trenches.’

因為耶和華如此說：你們雖不見風，不見雨，這谷必滿了水，使你們和牲畜有水喝。』

yīn wèi yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ： nǐ men suī bú jiàn fēng ， bú jiàn yǔ ， zhè gǔ bì mǎn le shuǐ ， shǐ nǐ men hé shēng chù yǒu shuǐ hē 。』

For the LORD says, ‘You will not see wind, neither will you see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your other animals.

在耶和華眼中這還算為小事，他也必將摩押人交在你們手中。

zài yē hé huá yǎn zhōng zhè hái suàn wèi xiǎo shì ， tā yě bì jiāng mó yā rén jiāo zài nǐ men shǒu zhōng 。

This is an easy thing in the LORD’s sight. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.

你們必攻破一切堅城美邑，砍伐各種佳樹，塞住一切水泉，用石頭糟踏一切美田。」

nǐ men bì gōng pò yí qiè jiān chéng měi yì ， kǎn fá gè zhǒng jiā shù ， sāi zhù yí qiè shuǐ quán ， yòng shí tou zāo tà yí qiè měi tián 。」

You shall strike every fortified city and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.’”

次日早晨，約在獻祭的時候，有水從以東而來，遍地就滿了水。

cì rì zǎo chén ， yuē zài xiàn jì de shí hòu ， yǒu shuǐ cóng yǐ dōng ér lái ， biàn dì jiù mǎn le shuǐ 。

In the morning, about the time of offering the sacrifice, behold, water came by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.

摩押眾人聽見這三王上來要與他們爭戰，凡能頂盔貫甲的，無論老少，盡都聚集站在邊界上。

mó yā zhòng rén tīng jiàn zhè sān wáng shàng lái yào yǔ tā men zhēng zhàn ， fán néng dǐng kuī guàn jiǎ de ， wú lùn lǎo shào ， jìn dōu jù jí zhàn zài biān jiè shàng 。

Now when all the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them, they gathered themselves together, all who were able to put on armor, young and old, and stood on the border.

次日早晨，日光照在水上，摩押人起來，看見對面水紅如血，

cì rì zǎo chén ， rì guāng zhào zài shuǐ shàng ， mó yā rén qǐ lái ， kàn jiàn duì miàn shuǐ hóng rú xuè ，

They rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone on the water, and the Moabites saw the water opposite them as red as blood.

就說：「這是血啊！必是三王互相擊殺，俱都滅亡。摩押人哪，我們現在去搶奪財物吧！」

jiù shuō ：「 zhè shì xuè a ！ bì shì sān wáng hù xiāng jī shā ， jù dōu miè wáng 。 mó yā rén nǎ ， wǒ men xiàn zài qù qiǎng duó cái wù ba ！」

They said, “This is blood. The kings are surely destroyed, and they have struck each other. Now therefore, Moab, to the plunder!”

摩押人到了以色列營，以色列人就起來攻打他們，以致他們在以色列人面前逃跑。以色列人往前追殺摩押人，直殺入摩押的境內，

mó yā rén dào le yǐ sè liè yíng ， yǐ sè liè rén jiù qǐ lái gōng dǎ tā men ， yǐ zhì tā men zài yǐ sè liè rén miàn qián táo pǎo 。 yǐ sè liè rén wǎng qián zhuī shā mó yā rén ， zhí shā rù mó yā de jìng nèi ，

When they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and struck the Moabites, so that they fled before them; and they went forward into the land attacking the Moabites.

拆毀摩押的城邑，各人拋石填滿一切美田，塞住一切水泉，砍伐各種佳樹，只剩下吉珥‧哈列設的石牆；甩石的兵在四圍攻打那城。

chāi huǐ mó yā de chéng yì ， gè rén pāo shí tián mǎn yí qiè měi tián ， sāi zhù yí qiè shuǐ quán ， kǎn fá gè zhǒng jiā shù ， zhī shèng xià jí ěr · hā liè shè de shí qiáng ； shuǎi shí de bīng zài sì wéi gōng dǎ nà chéng 。

They beat down the cities; and on every good piece of land each man cast his stone, and filled it. They also stopped all the springs of water and cut down all the good trees, until in Kir Hareseth all they left was its stones; however the men armed with slings went around it and attacked it.

摩押王見陣勢甚大，難以對敵，就率領七百拿刀的兵，要衝過陣去到以東王那裏，卻是不能；

mó yā wáng jiàn zhèn shì shèn dà ， nán yǐ duì dí ， jiù lǜ lǐng qī bǎi ná dāo de bīng ， yào chōng guò zhèn qù dào yǐ dōng wáng nà lǐ ， què shì bù néng ；

When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too severe for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew a sword, to break through to the king of Edom; but they could not.

便將那應當接續他作王的長子，在城上獻為燔祭。以色列人遭遇耶和華的大怒 ，於是三王離開摩押王，各回本國去了。

biàn jiāng nà yìng dāng jiē xù tā zuò wáng de zhǎng zǐ ， zài chéng shàng xiàn wèi fán jì 。 yǐ sè liè rén zāo yù yē hé huá de dà nù ， yú shì sān wáng lí kāi mó yā wáng ， gè huí běn guó qù le 。

Then he took his oldest son who would have reigned in his place, and offered him for a burnt offering on the wall. There was great wrath against Israel; and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
