大衛的兒子押沙龍有一個美貌的妹子，名叫她瑪。大衛的兒子暗嫩愛她。

dà wèi de ér zi yā shā lóng yǒu yí gè měi mào de mèi zǐ ， míng jiào tā mǎ 。 dà wèi de ér zi àn nèn ài tā 。

After this, Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

暗嫩為他妹子她瑪憂急成病。她瑪還是處女，暗嫩以為難向她行事。

àn nèn wèi tā mèi zǐ tā mǎ yōu jí chéng bìng 。 tā mǎ hái shì chǔ nǚ ， àn nèn yǐ wéi nán xiàng tā xíng shì 。

Amnon was so troubled that he became sick because of his sister Tamar, for she was a virgin, and it seemed hard to Amnon to do anything to her.

暗嫩有一個朋友，名叫約拿達，是大衛長兄示米亞的兒子。這約拿達為人極其狡猾；

àn nèn yǒu yí gè péng yǒu ， míng jiào yuē ná dá ， shì dà wèi zhǎng xiōng shì mǐ yà de ér zi 。 zhè yuē ná dá wèi rén jí qí jiǎo huá ；

But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother; and Jonadab was a very subtle man.

他問暗嫩說：「王的兒子啊，為何一天比一天瘦弱呢？請你告訴我。」暗嫩回答說：「我愛我兄弟押沙龍的妹子她瑪。」

tā wèn àn nèn shuō ：「 wáng de ér zi a ， wèi hé yì tiān bǐ yì tiān shòu ruò ne ？ qǐng nǐ gào sù wǒ 。」 àn nèn huí dá shuō ：「 wǒ ài wǒ xiōng dì yā shā lóng de mèi zǐ tā mǎ 。」

He said to him, “Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him, “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

約拿達說：「你不如躺在床上裝病；你父親來看你，就對他說：『求父叫我妹子她瑪來，在我眼前預備食物，遞給我吃，使我看見，好從她手裏接過來吃。』」

yuē ná dá shuō ：「 nǐ bù rú tǎng zài chuáng shàng zhuāng bìng ； nǐ fù qīn lái kàn nǐ ， jiù duì tā shuō ：『 qiú fù jiào wǒ mèi zǐ tā mǎ lái ， zài wǒ yǎn qián yù bèi shí wù ， dì gěi wǒ chī ， shǐ wǒ kàn jiàn ， hǎo cóng tā shǒu lǐ jiē guò lái chī 。』」

Jonadab said to him, “Lay down on your bed and pretend to be sick. When your father comes to see you, tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me bread to eat, and prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat it from her hand.’”

於是暗嫩躺臥裝病。王來看他，他對王說：「求父叫我妹子她瑪來，在我眼前為我做兩個餅，我好從她手裏接過來吃。」

yú shì àn nèn tǎng wò zhuāng bìng 。 wáng lái kàn tā ， tā duì wáng shuō ：「 qiú fù jiào wǒ mèi zǐ tā mǎ lái ， zài wǒ yǎn qián wèi wǒ zuò liǎng gè bǐng ， wǒ hǎo cóng tā shǒu lǐ jiē guò lái chī 。」

So Amnon lay down and faked being sick. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.”

大衛就打發人到宮裏，對她瑪說：「你往你哥哥暗嫩的屋裏去，為他預備食物。」

dà wèi jiù dǎ fā rén dào gōng lǐ ， duì tā mǎ shuō ：「 nǐ wǎng nǐ gē ge àn nèn de wū lǐ qù ， wèi tā yù bèi shí wù 。」

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, “Go now to your brother Amnon’s house, and prepare food for him.”

她瑪就到她哥哥暗嫩的屋裏；暗嫩正躺臥。她瑪摶麵，在他眼前做餅，且烤熟了，

tā mǎ jiù dào tā gē ge àn nèn de wū lǐ ； àn nèn zhèng tǎng wò 。 tā mǎ tuán miàn ， zài tā yǎn qián zuò bǐng ， qiě kǎo shú le ，

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was lying down. She took dough, kneaded it, made cakes in his sight, and baked the cakes.

在他面前將餅從鍋裏倒出來，他卻不肯吃，便說：「眾人離開我出去吧！」眾人就都離開他，出去了。

zài tā miàn qián jiāng bǐng cóng guō lǐ dǎo chū lái ， tā què bù kěn chī ， biàn shuō ：「 zhòng rén lí kāi wǒ chū qù ba ！」 zhòng rén jiù dōu lí kāi tā ， chū qù le 。

She took the pan and poured them out before him, but he refused to eat. Amnon said, “Have all men leave me.” Then every man went out from him.

暗嫩對她瑪說：「你把食物拿進臥房，我好從你手裏接過來吃。」她瑪就把所做的餅拿進臥房，到她哥哥暗嫩那裏，

àn nèn duì tā mǎ shuō ：「 nǐ bǎ shí wù ná jìn wò fáng ， wǒ hǎo cóng nǐ shǒu lǐ jiē guò lái chī 。」 tā mǎ jiù bǎ suǒ zuò de bǐng ná jìn wò fáng ， dào tā gē ge àn nèn nà lǐ ，

Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the room, that I may eat from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother.

拿着餅上前給他吃，他便拉住她瑪，說：「我妹妹，你來與我同寢。」

ná zhe bǐng shàng qián gěi tā chī ， tā biàn lā zhù tā mǎ ， shuō ：「 wǒ mèi mei ， nǐ lái yǔ wǒ tóng qǐn 。」

When she had brought them near to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister!”

她瑪說：「我哥哥，不要玷辱我。以色列人中不當這樣行，你不要做這醜事；

tā mǎ shuō ：「 wǒ gē ge ， bú yào diàn rǔ wǒ 。 yǐ sè liè rén zhōng bù dāng zhè yàng xíng ， nǐ bú yào zuò zhè chǒu shì ；

She answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me! For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Don’t you do this folly!

你玷辱了我，我何以掩蓋我的羞恥呢？你在以色列中也成了愚妄人。你可以求王，他必不禁止我歸你。」

nǐ diàn rǔ le wǒ ， wǒ hé yǐ yǎn gài wǒ de xiū chǐ ne ？ nǐ zài yǐ sè liè zhōng yě chéng le yú wàng rén 。 nǐ kě yǐ qiú wáng ， tā bì bù jīn zhǐ wǒ guī nǐ 。」

As for me, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”

但暗嫩不肯聽她的話，因比她力大，就玷辱她，與她同寢。

dàn àn nèn bù kěn tīng tā de huà ， yīn bǐ tā lì dà ， jiù diàn rǔ tā ， yǔ tā tóng qǐn 。

However, he would not listen to her voice; but being stronger than she, he forced her and lay with her.

隨後，暗嫩極其恨她，那恨她的心比先前愛她的心更甚，對她說：「你起來，去吧！」

suí hòu ， àn nèn jí qí hèn tā ， nà hèn tā de xīn bǐ xiān qián ài tā de xīn gèng shèn ， duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ qǐ lái ， qù ba ！」

Then Amnon hated her with exceedingly great hatred; for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

她瑪說：「不要這樣！你趕出我去的這罪比你才行的更重！」但暗嫩不肯聽她的話，

tā mǎ shuō ：「 bú yào zhè yàng ！ nǐ gǎn chū wǒ qù de zhè zuì bǐ nǐ cái xíng de gèng zhòng ！」 dàn àn nèn bù kěn tīng tā de huà ，

She said to him, “Not so, because this great wrong in sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me!” But he would not listen to her.

就叫伺候自己的僕人來，說：「將這個女子趕出去！她一出去，你就關門，上閂。」

jiù jiào cì hou zì jǐ de pú rén lái ， shuō ：「 jiāng zhè ge nǚ zǐ gǎn chū qù ！ tā yì chū qù ， nǐ jiù guān mén ， shàng shuān 。」

Then he called his servant who ministered to him, and said, “Now put this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.”

那時她瑪穿着彩衣，因為沒有出嫁的公主都是這樣穿。暗嫩的僕人就把她趕出去，關門上閂。

nà shí tā mǎ chuān zhe cǎi yī ， yīn wèi méi yǒu chū jià de gōng zhǔ dōu shì zhè yàng chuān 。 àn nèn de pú rén jiù bǎ tā gǎn chū qù ， guān mén shàng shuān 。

She had a garment of various colors on her, for the king’s daughters who were virgins dressed in such robes. Then his servant brought her out and bolted the door after her.

她瑪把灰塵撒在頭上，撕裂所穿的彩衣，以手抱頭，一面行走，一面哭喊。

tā mǎ bǎ huī chén sā zài tóu shàng ， sī liè suǒ chuān de cǎi yī ， yǐ shǒu bào tóu ， yí miàn xíng zǒu ， yí miàn kū hǎn 。

Tamar put ashes on her head, and tore her garment of various colors that was on her; and she laid her hand on her head and went her way, crying aloud as she went.

她胞兄押沙龍問她說：「莫非你哥哥暗嫩與你親近了嗎？我妹妹，暫且不要作聲，他是你的哥哥，不要將這事放在心上。」她瑪就孤孤單單地住在她胞兄押沙龍家裏。

tā bāo xiōng yā shā lóng wèn tā shuō ：「 mò fēi nǐ gē ge àn nèn yǔ nǐ qīn jìn le ma ？ wǒ mèi mei ， zàn qiě bú yào zuò shēng ， tā shì nǐ de gē ge ， bú yào jiāng zhè shì fàng zài xīn shàng 。」 tā mǎ jiù gū gū dān dān dì zhù zài tā bāo xiōng yā shā lóng jiā lǐ 。

Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

大衛王聽見這事，就甚發怒。

dà wèi wáng tīng jiàn zhè shì ， jiù shèn fā nù 。

But when King David heard of all these things, he was very angry.

押沙龍並不和他哥哥暗嫩說好說歹；因為暗嫩玷辱他妹妹她瑪，所以押沙龍恨惡他。

yā shā lóng bìng bù hé tā gē ge àn nèn shuō hǎo shuō dǎi ； yīn wèi àn nèn diàn rǔ tā mèi mei tā mǎ ， suǒ yǐ yā shā lóng hèn è tā 。

Absalom spoke to Amnon neither good nor bad; for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

過了二年，在靠近以法蓮的巴力‧夏瑣有人為押沙龍剪羊毛；押沙龍請王的眾子與他同去。

guò le èr nián ， zài kào jìn yǐ fǎ lián de bā lì · xià suǒ yǒu rén wéi yā shā lóng jiǎn yáng máo ； yā shā lóng qǐng wáng de zhòng zǐ yǔ tā tóng qù 。

After two full years, Absalom had sheep shearers in Baal Hazor, which is beside Ephraim; and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

押沙龍來見王，說：「現在有人為僕人剪羊毛，請王和王的臣僕與僕人同去。」

yā shā lóng lái jiàn wáng ， shuō ：「 xiàn zài yǒu rén wéi pú rén jiǎn yáng máo ， qǐng wáng hé wáng de chén pú yǔ pú rén tóng qù 。」

Absalom came to the king and said, “See now, your servant has sheep shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

王對押沙龍說：「我兒，我們不必都去，恐怕使你耗費太多。」押沙龍再三請王，王仍是不肯去，只為他祝福。

wáng duì yā shā lóng shuō ：「 wǒ ér ， wǒ men bú bì dōu qù ， kǒng pà shǐ nǐ hào fèi tài duō 。」 yā shā lóng zài sān qǐng wáng ， wáng réng shì bù kěn qù ， zhī wèi tā zhù fú 。

The king said to Absalom, “No, my son, let’s not all go, lest we be burdensome to you.” He pressed him; however he would not go, but blessed him.

押沙龍說：「王若不去，求王許我哥哥暗嫩同去。」王說：「何必要他去呢？」

yā shā lóng shuō ：「 wáng ruò bú qù ， qiú wáng xǔ wǒ gē ge àn nèn tóng qù 。」 wáng shuō ：「 hé bì yào tā qù ne ？」

Then Absalom said, “If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king said to him, “Why should he go with you?”

押沙龍再三求王，王就許暗嫩和王的眾子與他同去。

yā shā lóng zài sān qiú wáng ， wáng jiù xǔ àn nèn hé wáng de zhòng zǐ yǔ tā tóng qù 。

But Absalom pressed him, and he let Amnon and all the king’s sons go with him.

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們注意，看暗嫩飲酒暢快的時候，我對你們說殺暗嫩，你們便殺他，不要懼怕。這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們只管壯膽奮勇！」

yā shā lóng fēn fù pú rén shuō ：「 nǐ men zhù yì ， kàn àn nèn yǐn jiǔ chàng kuài de shí hòu ， wǒ duì nǐ men shuō shā àn nèn ， nǐ men biàn shā tā ， bú yào jù pà 。 zhè bú shì wǒ fēn fù nǐ men de ma ？ nǐ men zhǐ guǎn zhuàng dǎn fèn yǒng ！」

Absalom commanded his servants, saying, “Mark now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I tell you, ‘Strike Amnon,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant!”

押沙龍的僕人就照押沙龍所吩咐的，向暗嫩行了。王的眾子都起來，各人騎上騾子，逃跑了。

yā shā lóng de pú rén jiù zhào yā shā lóng suǒ fēn fù de ， xiàng àn nèn xíng le 。 wáng de zhòng zǐ dōu qǐ lái ， gè rén qí shàng luó zǐ ， táo pǎo le 。

The servants of Absalom did to Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man got up on his mule and fled.

他們還在路上，有風聲傳到大衛那裏，說：「押沙龍將王的眾子都殺了，沒有留下一個。」

tā men hái zài lù shang ， yǒu fēng shēng chuán dào dà wèi nà lǐ ， shuō ：「 yā shā lóng jiāng wáng de zhòng zǐ dōu shā le ， méi yǒu liú xià yí gè 。」

While they were on the way, the news came to David, saying, “Absalom has slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left!”

王就起來，撕裂衣服，躺在地上。王的臣僕也都撕裂衣服，站在旁邊。

wáng jiù qǐ lái ， sī liè yī fu ， tǎng zài dì shàng 。 wáng de chén pú yě dōu sī liè yī fu ， zhàn zài páng biān 。

Then the king arose, and tore his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes torn.

大衛的長兄，示米亞的兒子約拿達說：「我主，不要以為王的眾子－少年人都殺了，只有暗嫩一個人死了。自從暗嫩玷辱押沙龍妹子她瑪的那日，押沙龍就定意殺暗嫩了。

dà wèi de zhǎng xiōng ， shì mǐ yà de ér zi yuē ná dá shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ ， bú yào yǐ wéi wáng de zhòng zǐ — shào nián rén dōu shā le ， zhǐ yǒu àn nèn yí gè rén sǐ le 。 zì cóng àn nèn diàn rǔ yā shā lóng mèi zǐ tā mǎ de nà rì ， yā shā lóng jiù dìng yì shā àn nèn le 。

Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered, “Don’t let my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

現在，我主我王，不要把這事放在心上，以為王的眾子都死了，只有暗嫩一個人死了。」

xiàn zài ， wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng ， bú yào bǎ zhè shì fàng zài xīn shàng ， yǐ wéi wáng de zhòng zǐ dōu sǐ le ， zhǐ yǒu àn nèn yí gè rén sǐ le 。」

Now therefore don’t let my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead; for only Amnon is dead.”

押沙龍逃跑了。 守望的少年人舉目觀看，見有許多人從山坡的路上來。

yā shā lóng táo pǎo le 。 shǒu wàng de shào nián rén jǔ mù guān kàn ， jiàn yǒu xǔ duō rén cóng shān pō de lù shang lái 。

But Absalom fled. The young man who kept the watch lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, many people were coming by way of the hillside behind him.

約拿達對王說：「看哪，王的眾子都來了，果然與你僕人所說的相合。」

yuē ná dá duì wáng shuō ：「 kàn nǎ ， wáng de zhòng zǐ dōu lái le ， guǒ rán yǔ nǐ pú rén suǒ shuō de xiāng hé 。」

Jonadab said to the king, “Behold, the king’s sons are coming! It is as your servant said.”

話才說完，王的眾子都到了，放聲大哭；王和臣僕也都哭得甚慟。

huà cái shuō wán ， wáng de zhòng zǐ dōu dào le ， fàng shēng dà kū ； wáng hé chén pú yě dōu kū dé shèn tòng 。

As soon as he had finished speaking, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voices and wept. The king also and all his servants wept bitterly.

押沙龍逃到基述王亞米忽的兒子達買那裏去了。大衛天天為他兒子悲哀。

yā shā lóng táo dào jī shù wáng yà mǐ hū de ér zi dá mǎi nà lǐ qù le 。 dà wèi tiān tiān wèi tā ér zi bēi āi 。

But Absalom fled and went to Talmai the son of Ammihur, king of Geshur. David mourned for his son every day.

押沙龍逃到基述，在那裏住了三年。

yā shā lóng táo dào jī shù ， zài nà lǐ zhù le sān nián 。

So Absalom fled and went to Geshur, and was there three years.

暗嫩死了以後，大衛王得了安慰，心裏切切想念押沙龍。

àn nèn sǐ le yǐ hòu ， dà wèi wáng dé le ān wèi ， xīn lǐ qiè qiè xiǎng niàn yā shā lóng 。

King David longed to go out to Absalom, for he was comforted concerning Amnon, since he was dead.
