但以理書 5

伯沙撒王為他的一千大臣設擺盛筵，與這一千人對面飲酒。

bó shā sā wáng wèi tā de yì qiān dà chén shè bǎi shèng yán ， yǔ zhè yì qiān rén duì miàn yǐn jiǔ 。

Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

伯沙撒歡飲之間，吩咐人將他父 尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷殿中所掠的金銀器皿拿來，王與大臣、皇后、妃嬪好用這器皿飲酒。

bó shā sā huān yǐn zhī jiān ， fēn fù rén jiāng tā fù ní bù jiǎ ní sā cóng yē lù sā lěng diàn zhōng suǒ lüè de jīn yín qì mǐn ná lái ， wáng yǔ dà chén 、 huáng hòu 、 fēi pín hǎo yòng zhè qì mǐn yǐn jiǔ 。

Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded that the golden and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem be brought to him, that the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, might drink from them.

於是他們把耶路撒冷上帝殿庫房中所掠的金器皿拿來，王和大臣、皇后、妃嬪就用這器皿飲酒。

yú shì tā men bǎ yē lù sā lěng shén diàn kù fáng zhōng suǒ lüè de jīn qì mǐn ná lái ， wáng hé dà chén 、 huáng hòu 、 fēi pín jiù yòng zhè qì mǐn yǐn jiǔ 。

Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of God’s house which was at Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, drank from them.

他們飲酒，讚美金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神。

tā men yǐn jiǔ ， zàn měi jīn 、 yín 、 tóng 、 tiě 、 mù 、 shí suǒ zào de shén 。

They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of bronze, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

當時，忽有人的指頭顯出，在王宮與燈臺相對的粉牆上寫字。王看見寫字的指頭

dāng shí ， hū yǒu rén de zhǐ tou xiǎn chū ， zài wáng gōng yǔ dēng tái xiāng duì de fěn qiáng shàng xiě zì 。 wáng kàn jiàn xiě zì de zhǐ tou

In the same hour, the fingers of a man’s hand came out and wrote near the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace. The king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

就變了臉色，心意驚惶，腰骨好像脫節，雙膝彼此相碰，

jiù biàn le liǎn sè ， xīn yì jīng huáng ， yāo gǔ hǎo xiàng tuō jié ， shuāng xī bǐ cǐ xiāng pèng ，

Then the king’s face was changed in him, and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his thighs were loosened, and his knees struck one against another.

大聲吩咐將用法術的和迦勒底人並觀兆的領進來，對巴比倫的哲士說，誰能讀這文字，把講解告訴我，他必身穿紫袍，項帶金鍊，在我國中位列第三。

dà shēng fēn fù jiāng yòng fǎ shù de hé jiā lè dǐ rén bìng guān zhào de lǐng jìn lái ， duì bā bǐ lún de zhé shì shuō ， shuí néng dú zhè wén zì ， bǎ jiǎng jiě gào sù wǒ ， tā bì shēn chuān zǐ páo ， xiàng dài jīn liàn ， zài wǒ guó zhōng wèi liè dì sān 。

The king cried aloud to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke and said to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing and shows me its interpretation shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

於是王的一切哲士都進來，卻不能讀那文字，也不能把講解告訴王。

yú shì wáng de yí qiè zhé shì dōu jìn lái ， què bù néng dú nà wén zì ， yě bù néng bǎ jiǎng jiě gào sù wáng 。

Then all the king’s wise men came in; but they could not read the writing, and couldn’t make known to the king the interpretation.

伯沙撒王就甚驚惶，臉色改變，他的大臣也都驚奇。

bó shā sā wáng jiù shèn jīng huáng ， liǎn sè gǎi biàn ， tā de dà chén yě dōu jīng qí 。

Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled, and his face was changed in him, and his lords were perplexed.

太后 因王和他大臣所說的話，就進入宴宮，說：「願王萬歲！你心意不要驚惶，臉面不要變色。

tài hòu yīn wáng hé tā dà chén suǒ shuō de huà ， jiù jìn rù yàn gōng ， shuō ：「 yuàn wáng wàn suì ！ nǐ xīn yì bú yào jīng huáng ， liǎn miàn bú yào biàn sè 。

The queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house. The queen spoke and said, “O king, live forever; don’t let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your face be changed.

在你國中有一人，他裏頭有聖神的靈，你父在世的日子，這人心中光明，又有聰明智慧，好像神的智慧。你父尼布甲尼撒王，就是王的父，立他為術士、用法術的，和迦勒底人，並觀兆的領袖。

zài nǐ guó zhōng yǒu yì rén ， tā lǐ tou yǒu shèng shén de líng ， nǐ fù zài shì de rì zi ， zhè rén xīn zhōng guāng míng ， yòu yǒu cōng ming zhì huì ， hǎo xiàng shén de zhì huì 。 nǐ fù ní bù jiǎ ní sā wáng ， jiù shì wáng de fù ， lì tā wèi shù shì 、 yòng fǎ shù de ， hé jiā lè dǐ rén ， bìng guān zhào de lǐng xiù 。

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him. The king, Nebuchadnezzar, your father—yes, the king, your father—made him master of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and soothsayers,

在他裏頭有美好的靈性，又有知識聰明，能圓夢，釋謎語，解疑惑。這人名叫但以理，尼布甲尼撒王又稱他為伯提沙撒，現在可以召他來，他必解明這意思。」

zài tā lǐ tou yǒu měi hǎo de líng xìng ， yòu yǒu zhī shi cōng ming ， néng yuán mèng ， shì mí yǔ ， jiě yí huò 。 zhè rén míng jiào dàn yǐ lǐ ， ní bù jiǎ ní sā wáng yòu chēng tā wèi bó tí shā sā ， xiàn zài kě yǐ zhào tā lái ， tā bì jiě míng zhè yì sī 。」

because an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting of dreams, showing of dark sentences, and dissolving of doubts were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”

但以理就被領到王前。王問但以理說：「你是被擄之猶大人中的但以理嗎？就是我父王從猶大擄來的嗎？

dàn yǐ lǐ jiù bèi lǐng dào wáng qián 。 wáng wèn dàn yǐ lǐ shuō ：「 nǐ shì bèi lǔ zhī yóu dà rén zhōng de dàn yǐ lǐ ma ？ jiù shì wǒ fù wáng cóng yóu dà lǔ lái de ma ？

Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Judah?

我聽說你裏頭有神的靈，心中光明，又有聰明和美好的智慧。

wǒ tīng shuō nǐ lǐ tou yǒu shén de líng ， xīn zhōng guāng míng ， yòu yǒu cōng ming hé měi hǎo de zhì huì 。

I have heard of you, that the spirit of the gods is in you and that light, understanding, and excellent wisdom are found in you.

現在哲士和用法術的都領到我面前，為叫他們讀這文字，把講解告訴我，無奈他們都不能把講解說出來。

xiàn zài zhé shì hé yòng fǎ shù de dōu lǐng dào wǒ miàn qián ， wèi jiào tā men dú zhè wén zì ， bǎ jiǎng jiě gào sù wǒ ， wú nài tā men dōu bù néng bǎ jiǎng jiě shuō chū lái 。

Now the wise men, the enchanters, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known to me its interpretation; but they could not show the interpretation of the thing.

我聽說你善於講解，能解疑惑；現在你若能讀這文字，把講解告訴我，就必身穿紫袍，項戴金鍊，在我國中位列第三。」

wǒ tīng shuō nǐ shàn yú jiǎng jiě ， néng jiě yí huò ； xiàn zài nǐ ruò néng dú zhè wén zì ， bǎ jiǎng jiě gào sù wǒ ， jiù bì shēn chuān zǐ páo ， xiàng dài jīn liàn ， zài wǒ guó zhōng wèi liè dì sān 。」

But I have heard of you, that you can give interpretations and dissolve doubts. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold around your neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

但以理在王面前回答說：「你的贈品可以歸你自己，你的賞賜可以歸給別人；我卻要為王讀這文字，把講解告訴王。

dàn yǐ lǐ zài wáng miàn qián huí dá shuō ：「 nǐ de zèng pǐn kě yǐ guī nǐ zì jǐ ， nǐ de shǎng cì kě yǐ guī gěi bié rén ； wǒ què yào wèi wáng dú zhè wén zì ， bǎ jiǎng jiě gào sù wáng 。

Then Daniel answered before the king, “Let your gifts be to yourself, and give your rewards to another. Nevertheless, I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

王啊，至高的上帝曾將國位、大權、榮耀、威嚴賜與你父尼布甲尼撒；

wáng a ， zhì gāo de shén céng jiāng guó wèi 、 dà quán 、 róng yào 、 wēi yán cì yǔ nǐ fù ní bù jiǎ ní sā ；

“To you, king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty.

因上帝所賜他的大權，各方、各國、各族的人都在他面前戰兢恐懼。他可以隨意生殺，隨意升降。

yīn shén suǒ cì tā de dà quán ， gè fāng 、 gè guó 、 gè zú de rén dōu zài tā miàn qián zhàn jīng kǒng jù 。 tā kě yǐ suí yì shēng shā ， suí yì shēng jiàng 。

Because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. He killed whom he wanted to, and he kept alive whom he wanted to. He raised up whom he wanted to, and he put down whom he wanted to.

但他心高氣傲，靈也剛愎，甚至行事狂傲，就被革去王位，奪去榮耀。

dàn tā xīn gāo qì ào ， líng yě gāng bì ， shèn zhì xíng shì kuáng ào ， jiù bèi gé qù wáng wèi ， duó qù róng yào 。

But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him.

他被趕出離開世人，他的心變如獸心，與野驢同居，吃草如牛，身被天露滴濕，等他知道至高的上帝在人的國中掌權，憑自己的意旨立人治國。

tā bèi gǎn chū lí kāi shì rén ， tā de xīn biàn rú shòu xīn ， yǔ yě lǘ tóng jū ， chī cǎo rú niú ， shēn bèi tiān lù dī shī ， děng tā zhī dào zhì gāo de shén zài rén de guó zhōng zhǎng quán ， píng zì jǐ de yì zhǐ lì rén zhì guó 。

He was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the animals’, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky, until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and that he sets up over it whomever he will.

伯沙撒啊，你是他的兒子 ，你雖知道這一切，你心仍不自卑，

bó shā sā a ， nǐ shì tā de ér zi ， nǐ suī zhī dào zhè yí qiè ， nǐ xīn réng bú zì bēi ，

“You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,

竟向天上的主自高，使人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、皇后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識、金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神，卻沒有將榮耀歸與那手中有你氣息，管理你一切行動的上帝。

jìng xiàng tiān shàng de zhǔ zì gāo ， shǐ rén jiāng tā diàn zhōng de qì mǐn ná dào nǐ miàn qián ， nǐ hé dà chén 、 huáng hòu 、 fēi pín yòng zhè qì mǐn yǐn jiǔ 。 nǐ yòu zàn měi nà bù néng kàn 、 bù néng tīng 、 wú zhī wú shí 、 jīn 、 yín 、 tóng 、 tiě 、 mù 、 shí suǒ zào de shén ， què méi yǒu jiāng róng yào guī yǔ nà shǒu zhōng yǒu nǐ qì xī ， guǎn lǐ nǐ yí qiè xíng dòng de shén 。

but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. You have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which don’t see, or hear, or know; and you have not glorified the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways.

因此從上帝那裏顯出指頭來寫這文字。

yīn cǐ cóng shén nà lǐ xiǎn chū zhǐ tou lái xiě zhè wén zì 。

Then the part of the hand was sent from before him, and this writing was inscribed.

「所寫的文字是：『彌尼，彌尼，提客勒，烏法珥新。』

「 suǒ xiě de wén zì shì ：『 mí ní ， mí ní ， tí kè lè ， wū fǎ ěr xīn 。』

“This is the writing that was inscribed: ‘MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.’

講解是這樣：彌尼，就是上帝已經數算你國的年日到此完畢。

jiǎng jiě shì zhè yàng ： mí ní ， jiù shì shén yǐ jīng shù suàn nǐ guó de nián rì dào cǐ wán bì 。

“This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE: God has counted your kingdom, and brought it to an end.

提客勒，就是你被稱在天平裏，顯出你的虧欠。

tí kè lè ， jiù shì nǐ bèi chēng zài tiān píng lǐ ， xiǎn chū nǐ de kuī qiàn 。

TEKEL: you are weighed in the balances, and are found wanting.

毗勒斯 ，就是你的國分裂，歸與米底亞人和波斯人。」

pí lè sī ， jiù shì nǐ de guó fēn liè ， guī yǔ mǐ dǐ yà rén hé bō sī rén 。」

PERES: your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”

伯沙撒下令，人就把紫袍給但以理穿上，把金鍊給他戴在頸項上，又傳令使他在國中位列第三。

bó shā sā xià lìng ， rén jiù bǎ zǐ páo gěi dàn yǐ lǐ chuān shàng ， bǎ jīn liàn gěi tā dài zài jǐng xiàng shàng ， yòu chuán lìng shǐ tā zài guó zhōng wèi liè dì sān 。

Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

當夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被殺。

dāng yè ， jiā lè dǐ wáng bó shā sā bèi shā 。

In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean King was slain.

米底亞人大流士年六十二歲，取了迦勒底國。

mǐ dǐ yà rén dà liú shì nián liù shí èr suì ， qǔ le jiā lè dǐ guó 。

Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.
