以斯帖記 8

當日，亞哈隨魯王把猶大人仇敵哈曼的家產賜給王后以斯帖。末底改也來到王面前，因為以斯帖已經告訴王，末底改是她的親屬。

dāng rì ， yà hā suí lǔ wáng bǎ yóu dà rén chóu dí hā màn de jiā chǎn cì gěi wáng hòu yǐ sī tiē 。 mò dǐ gǎi yě lái dào wáng miàn qián ， yīn wèi yǐ sī tiē yǐ jīng gào sù wáng ， mò dǐ gǎi shì tā de qīn shǔ 。

On that day, King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the Jews’ enemy, to Esther the queen. Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was to her.

王摘下自己的戒指，就是從哈曼追回的，給了末底改。以斯帖派末底改管理哈曼的家產。

wáng zhāi xià zì jǐ de jiè zhǐ ， jiù shì cóng hā màn zhuī huí de ， gěi le mò dǐ gǎi 。 yǐ sī tiē pài mò dǐ gǎi guǎn lǐ hā màn de jiā chǎn 。

The king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

以斯帖又俯伏在王腳前，流淚哀告，求他除掉亞甲族哈曼害猶大人的惡謀。

yǐ sī tiē yòu fǔ fú zài wáng jiǎo qián ， liú lèi āi gào ， qiú tā chú diào yà jiǎ zú hā màn hài yóu dà rén de è móu 。

Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet and begged him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his plan that he had planned against the Jews.

王向以斯帖伸出金杖；以斯帖就起來，站在王前，

wáng xiàng yǐ sī tiē shēn chū jīn zhàng ； yǐ sī tiē jiù qǐ lái ， zhàn zài wáng qián ，

Then the king held out to Esther the golden scepter. So Esther arose, and stood before the king.

說：「亞甲族哈米大他的兒子哈曼設謀傳旨，要殺滅在王各省的猶大人。現今王若願意，我若在王眼前蒙恩，王若以為美，若喜悅我，請王另下旨意，廢除哈曼所傳的那旨意。

shuō ：「 yà jiǎ zú hā mǐ dà tā de ér zi hā màn shè móu chuán zhǐ ， yào shā miè zài wáng gè shěng de yóu dà rén 。 xiàn jīn wáng ruò yuàn yì ， wǒ ruò zài wáng yǎn qián méng ēn ， wáng ruò yǐ wéi měi ， ruò xǐ yuè wǒ ， qǐng wáng lìng xià zhǐ yì ， fèi chú hā màn suǒ chuán de nà zhǐ yì 。

She said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and the thing seems right to the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.

我何忍見我本族的人受害？何忍見我同宗的人被滅呢？」

wǒ hé rěn jiàn wǒ běn zú de rén shòu hài ？ hé rěn jiàn wǒ tóng zōng de rén bèi miè ne ？」

For how can I endure to see the evil that would come to my people? How can I endure to see the destruction of my relatives?”

亞哈隨魯王對王后以斯帖和猶大人末底改說：「因哈曼要下手害猶大人，我已將他的家產賜給以斯帖，人也將哈曼掛在木架上。

yà hā suí lǔ wáng duì wáng hòu yǐ sī tiē hé yóu dà rén mò dǐ gǎi shuō ：「 yīn hā màn yào xià shǒu hài yóu dà rén ， wǒ yǐ jiāng tā de jiā chǎn cì gěi yǐ sī tiē ， rén yě jiāng hā màn guà zài mù jià shàng 。

Then King Ahasuerus said to Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, “See, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows because he laid his hand on the Jews.

現在你們可以隨意奉王的名寫諭旨給猶大人，用王的戒指蓋印；因為奉王名所寫、用王戒指蓋印的諭旨，人都不能廢除。」

xiàn zài nǐ men kě yǐ suí yì fèng wáng de míng xiě yù zhǐ gěi yóu dà rén ， yòng wáng de jiè zhǐ gài yìn ； yīn wèi fèng wáng míng suǒ xiě 、 yòng wáng jiè zhǐ gài yìn de yù zhǐ ， rén dōu bù néng fèi chú 。」

Write also to the Jews as it pleases you, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring; for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may not be reversed by any man.”

三月，就是西彎月二十三日，將王的書記召來，按着末底改所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的方言，並猶大人的文字方言寫諭旨，傳給那從印度直到古實一百二十七省的猶大人和總督省長首領。

sān yuè ， jiù shì xī wān yuè èr shí sān rì ， jiāng wáng de shū jì zhào lái ， àn zhe mò dǐ gǎi suǒ fēn fù de ， yòng gè shěng de wén zì 、 gè zú de fāng yán ， bìng yóu dà rén de wén zì fāng yán xiě yù zhǐ ， chuán gěi nà cóng yìn dù zhí dào gǔ shí yì bǎi èr shí qī shěng de yóu dà rén hé zǒng dū shěng zhǎng shǒu lǐng 。

Then the king’s scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month Sivan, on the twenty-third day of the month; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded to the Jews, and to the local governors, and the governors and princes of the provinces which are from India to Ethiopia, one hundred twenty-seven provinces, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language, and to the Jews in their writing, and in their language.

末底改奉亞哈隨魯王的名寫諭旨，用王的戒指蓋印，交給騎御馬圈快馬的驛卒，傳到各處。

mò dǐ gǎi fèng yà hā suí lǔ wáng de míng xiě yù zhǐ ， yòng wáng de jiè zhǐ gài yìn ， jiāo gěi qí yù mǎ quān kuài mǎ de yì zú ， chuán dào gè chù 。

He wrote in the name of King Ahasuerus, and sealed it with the king’s ring, and sent letters by courier on horseback, riding on royal horses that were bred from swift steeds.

諭旨中，王准各省各城的猶大人在一日之間，十二月，就是亞達月十三日，聚集保護性命，剪除殺戮滅絕那要攻擊猶大人的一切仇敵和他們的妻子兒女，奪取他們的財為掠物。

yù zhǐ zhōng ， wáng zhǔn gè shěng gè chéng de yóu dà rén zài yí rì zhī jiān ， shí èr yuè ， jiù shì yà dá yuè shí sān rì ， jù jí bǎo hù xìng mìng ， jiǎn chú shā lù miè jué nà yào gōng jī yóu dà rén de yí qiè chóu dí hé tā men de qī zǐ ér nǚ ， duó qǔ tā men de cái wèi lüè wù 。

In those letters, the king granted the Jews who were in every city to gather themselves together and to defend their lives—to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish all the power of the people and province that would assault them, their little ones and women, and to plunder their possessions,

on one day in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

抄錄這諭旨，頒行各省，宣告各族，使猶大人預備等候那日，在仇敵身上報仇。

chāo lù zhè yù zhǐ ， bān xíng gè shěng ， xuān gào gè zú ， shǐ yóu dà rén yù bèi děng hòu nà rì ， zài chóu dí shēn shàng bào chóu 。

A copy of the letter, that the decree should be given out in every province, was published to all the peoples, that the Jews should be ready for that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.

於是騎快馬的驛卒被王命催促，急忙起行；諭旨也傳遍書珊城。

yú shì qí kuài mǎ de yì zú bèi wáng mìng cuī cù ， jí máng qǐ xíng ； yù zhǐ yě chuán biàn shū shān chéng 。

So the couriers who rode on royal horses went out, hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. The decree was given out in the citadel of Susa.

末底改穿着藍色白色的朝服，頭戴大金冠冕，又穿紫色細麻布的外袍，從王面前出來；書珊城的人民都歡呼快樂。

mò dǐ gǎi chuān zhe lán sè bái sè de cháo fú ， tóu dài dà jīn guān miǎn ， yòu chuān zǐ sè xì má bù de wài páo ， cóng wáng miàn qián chū lái ； shū shān chéng de rén mín dōu huān hū kuài lè 。

Mordecai went out of the presence of the king in royal clothing of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a robe of fine linen and purple; and the city of Susa shouted and was glad.

猶大人有光榮，歡喜快樂而得尊貴。

yóu dà rén yǒu guāng róng ， huān xǐ kuài lè ér dé zūn guì 。

The Jews had light, gladness, joy, and honor.

王的諭旨所到的各省各城，猶大人都歡喜快樂，設擺筵宴，以那日為吉日。那國的人民，有許多因懼怕猶大人，就入了猶大籍。

wáng de yù zhǐ suǒ dào de gè shěng gè chéng ， yóu dà rén dōu huān xǐ kuài lè ， shè bǎi yán yàn ， yǐ nà rì wèi jí rì 。 nà guó de rén mín ， yǒu xǔ duō yīn jù pà yóu dà rén ， jiù rù le yóu dà jí 。

In every province and in every city, wherever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had gladness, joy, a feast and a holiday. Many from among the peoples of the land became Jews, for the fear of the Jews had fallen on them.
