尼希米記 6

參巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人基善和我們其餘的仇敵聽見我已經修完了城牆，其中沒有破裂之處（那時我還沒有安門扇）的，

cān bā lā 、 duō bǐ yǎ 、 ā lā bó rén jī shàn hé wǒ men qí yú de chóu dí tīng jiàn wǒ yǐ jīng xiū wán le chéng qiáng ， qí zhōng méi yǒu pò liè zhī chù （ nà shí wǒ hái méi yǒu ān mén shàn ），

Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arabian, and to the rest of our enemies that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left in it (though even to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates),

參巴拉和基善就打發人來見我，說：「請你來，我們在阿挪平原的一個村莊相會。」他們卻想害我。

cān bā lā hé jī shàn jiù dǎ fā rén lái jiàn wǒ ， shuō ：「 qǐng nǐ lái ， wǒ men zài ā nuó píng yuán de yí gè cūn zhuāng xiāng huì 。」 tā men què xiǎng hài wǒ 。

Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come! Let’s meet together in the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they intended to harm me.

於是我差遣人去見他們，說：「我現在辦理大工，不能下去。焉能停工下去見你們呢？」

yú shì wǒ chāi qiǎn rén qù jiàn tā men ， shuō ：「 wǒ xiàn zài bàn lǐ dà gōng ， bù néng xià qù 。 yān néng tíng gōng xià qù jiàn nǐ men ne ？」

I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I can’t come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and come down to you?”

他們這樣四次打發人來見我，我都如此回答他們。

tā men zhè yàng sì cì dǎ fā rén lái jiàn wǒ ， wǒ dōu rú cǐ huí dá tā men 。

They sent to me four times like this; and I answered them the same way.

參巴拉第五次打發僕人來見我，手裏拿着未封的信，

cān bā lā dì wǔ cì dǎ fā pú rén lái jiàn wǒ ， shǒu lǐ ná zhe wèi fēng de xìn ，

Then Sanballat sent his servant to me the same way the fifth time with an open letter in his hand,

信上寫着說：「外邦人中有風聲，迦施慕 也說，你和猶大人謀反，修造城牆，你要作他們的王；

xìn shàng xiě zhe shuō ：「 wài bāng rén zhōng yǒu fēng shēng ， jiā shī mù yě shuō ， nǐ hé yóu dà rén móu fǎn ， xiū zào chéng qiáng ， nǐ yào zuò tā men de wáng ；

in which was written, “It is reported among the nations, and Gashmu says it, that you and the Jews intend to rebel. Because of that, you are building the wall. You would be their king, according to these words.

你又派先知在耶路撒冷指着你宣講，說在猶大有王。現在這話必傳與王知；所以請你來，與我們彼此商議。」

nǐ yòu pài xiān zhī zài yē lù sā lěng zhǐ zhe nǐ xuān jiǎng ， shuō zài yóu dà yǒu wáng 。 xiàn zài zhè huà bì chuán yǔ wáng zhī ； suǒ yǐ qǐng nǐ lái ， yǔ wǒ men bǐ cǐ shāng yì 。」

You have also appointed prophets to proclaim of you at Jerusalem, saying, ‘There is a king in Judah!’ Now it will be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let’s take counsel together.”

我就差遣人去見他，說：「你所說的這事，一概沒有，是你心裏捏造的。」

wǒ jiù chāi qiǎn rén qù jiàn tā ， shuō ：「 nǐ suǒ shuō de zhè shì ， yí gài méi yǒu ， shì nǐ xīn lǐ niē zào de 。」

Then I sent to him, saying, “There are no such things done as you say, but you imagine them out of your own heart.”

他們都要使我們懼怕，意思說，他們的手必軟弱，以致工作不能成就。上帝啊，求你堅固我的手。

tā men dōu yào shǐ wǒ men jù pà ， yì sī shuō ， tā men de shǒu bì ruǎn ruò ， yǐ zhì gōng zuò bù néng chéng jiù 。 shén a ， qiú nǐ jiān gù wǒ de shǒu 。

For they all would have made us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened from the work, that it not be done.” But now, strengthen my hands.

我到了米希大別的孫子、第來雅的兒子示瑪雅家裏；那時，他閉門不出。他說：「我們不如在上帝的殿裏會面，將殿門關鎖；因為他們要來殺你，就是夜裏來殺你。」

wǒ dào le mǐ xī dà bié de sūn zi 、 dì lái yǎ de ér zi shì mǎ yǎ jiā lǐ ； nà shí ， tā bì mén bù chū 。 tā shuō ：「 wǒ men bù rú zài shén de diàn lǐ huì miàn ， jiāng diàn mén guān suǒ ； yīn wèi tā men yào lái shā nǐ ， jiù shì yè lǐ lái shā nǐ 。」

I went to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabel, who was shut in at his home; and he said, “Let us meet together in God’s house, within the temple, and let’s shut the doors of the temple; for they will come to kill you. Yes, in the night they will come to kill you.”

我說：「像我這樣的人豈要逃跑呢？像我這樣的人豈能進入殿裏保全生命呢？我不進去！」

wǒ shuō ：「 xiàng wǒ zhè yàng de rén qǐ yào táo pǎo ne ？ xiàng wǒ zhè yàng de rén qǐ néng jìn rù diàn lǐ bǎo quán shēng mìng ne ？ wǒ bú jìn qù ！」

I said, “Should a man like me flee? Who is there that, being such as I, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.”

我看明上帝沒有差遣他，是他自己說這話攻擊我，是多比雅和參巴拉賄買了他。

wǒ kàn míng shén méi yǒu chāi qiǎn tā ， shì tā zì jǐ shuō zhè huà gōng jī wǒ ， shì duō bǐ yǎ hé cān bā lā huì mǎi le tā 。

I discerned, and behold, God had not sent him, but he pronounced this prophecy against me. Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

賄買他的緣故，是要叫我懼怕，依從他犯罪，他們好傳揚惡言毀謗我。

huì mǎi tā de yuán gù ， shì yào jiào wǒ jù pà ， yī cóng tā fàn zuì ， tā men hǎo chuán yáng è yán huǐ bàng wǒ 。

He was hired so that I would be afraid, do so, and sin, and that they might have material for an evil report, that they might reproach me.

我的上帝啊，多比雅、參巴拉、女先知挪亞底，和其餘的先知要叫我懼怕，求你記念他們所行的這些事。

wǒ de shén a ， duō bǐ yǎ 、 cān bā lā 、 nǚ xiān zhī nuó yà dǐ ， hé qí yú de xiān zhī yào jiào wǒ jù pà ， qiú nǐ jì niàn tā men suǒ xíng de zhè xiē shì 。

“Remember, my God, Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and also the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets that would have put me in fear.”

以祿月二十五日，城牆修完了，共修了五十二天。

yǐ lù yuè èr shí wǔ rì ， chéng qiáng xiū wán le ， gòng xiū le wǔ shí èr tiān 。

So the wall was finished in the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in fifty-two days.

我們一切仇敵、四圍的外邦人聽見了便懼怕，愁眉不展；因為見這工作完成是出乎我們的上帝。

wǒ men yí qiè chóu dí 、 sì wéi de wài bāng rén tīng jiàn le biàn jù pà ， chóu méi bù zhǎn ； yīn wèi jiàn zhè gōng zuò wán chéng shì chū hū wǒ men de shén 。

When all our enemies heard of it, all the nations that were around us were afraid, and they lost their confidence; for they perceived that this work was done by our God.

在那些日子，猶大的貴冑屢次寄信與多比雅，多比雅也來信與他們。

zài nà xiē rì zi ， yóu dà de guì zhòu lǚ cì jì xìn yǔ duō bǐ yǎ ， duō bǐ yǎ yě lái xìn yǔ tā men 。

Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters to Tobiah, and Tobiah’s letters came to them.

在猶大有許多人與多比雅結盟；因他是亞拉的兒子，示迦尼的女婿，並且他的兒子約哈難娶了比利迦兒子米書蘭的女兒為妻。

zài yóu dà yǒu xǔ duō rén yǔ duō bǐ yǎ jié méng ； yīn tā shì yà lā de ér zi ， shì jiā ní de nǚ xù ， bìng qiě tā de ér zi yuē hā nán qǔ le bǐ lì jiā ér zi mǐ shū lán de nǚ ér wèi qī 。

For there were many in Judah sworn to him because he was the son-in-law of Shecaniah the son of Arah; and his son Jehohanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah as wife.

他們常在我面前說多比雅的善行，也將我的話傳與他。多比雅又常寄信來，要叫我懼怕。

tā men cháng zài wǒ miàn qián shuō duō bǐ yǎ de shàn xíng ， yě jiāng wǒ de huà chuán yǔ tā 。 duō bǐ yǎ yòu cháng jì xìn lái ， yào jiào wǒ jù pà 。

Also they spoke of his good deeds before me, and reported my words to him. Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
