1 Thessalonians 4

弟兄们，我还有话说：我们靠着主耶稣求你们，劝你们，你们既然受了我们的教训，知道该怎样行可以讨 神的喜悦，就要照你们现在所行的更加勉励。

dì xiong men ， wǒ hái yǒu huà shuō ： wǒ men kào zhe zhǔ yē sū qiú nǐ men ， quàn nǐ men ， nǐ men jì rán shòu le wǒ men de jiào xùn ， zhī dào gāi zěn yàng xíng kě yǐ tǎo shén de xǐ yuè ， jiù yào zhào nǐ men xiàn zài suǒ xíng de gèng jiā miǎn lì 。

Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.

你们原晓得，我们凭主耶稣传给你们什么命令。

nǐ men yuán xiǎo de ， wǒ men píng zhǔ yē sū chuán gěi nǐ men shén me mìng lìng 。

For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

神的旨意就是要你们成为圣洁，远避淫行；

shén de zhǐ yì jiù shì yào nǐ men chéng wéi shèng jié ， yuǎn bì yín xíng ；

For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

要你们各人晓得怎样用圣洁、尊贵守着自己的身体，

yào nǐ men gè rén xiǎo de zěn yàng yòng shèng jié 、 zūn guì shǒu zhe zì jǐ de shēn tǐ ，

that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,

不放纵私欲的邪情，像那不认识 神的外邦人。

bú fàng zòng sī yù de xié qíng ， xiàng nà bú rèn shi shén de wài bāng rén 。

not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God,

不要一个人在这事上越分，欺负他的弟兄；因为这一类的事，主必报应，正如我预先对你们说过、又切切嘱咐你们的。

bú yào yí gè rén zài zhè shì shàng yuè fēn ， qī fù tā de dì xiong ； yīn wèi zhè yí lèi de shì ， zhǔ bì bào yìng ， zhèng rú wǒ yù xiān duì nǐ men shuō guò 、 yòu qiè qiè zhǔ fù nǐ men de 。

that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

神召我们，本不是要我们沾染污秽，乃是要我们成为圣洁。

shén zhào wǒ men ， běn bú shì yào wǒ men zhān rǎn wū huì ， nǎi shì yào wǒ men chéng wéi shèng jié 。

For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

所以，那弃绝的，不是弃绝人，乃是弃绝那赐圣灵给你们的 神。

suǒ yǐ ， nà qì jué de ， bú shì qì jué rén ， nǎi shì qì jué nà cì shèng líng gěi nǐ men de shén 。

Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

论到弟兄们相爱，不用人写信给你们；因为你们自己蒙了 神的教训，叫你们彼此相爱。

lùn dào dì xiong men xiāng ài ， bú yòng rén xiě xìn gěi nǐ men ； yīn wèi nǐ men zì jǐ méng le shén de jiào xùn ， jiào nǐ men bǐ cǐ xiāng ài 。

But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

你们向马其顿全地的众弟兄固然是这样行，但我劝弟兄们要更加勉励。

nǐ men xiàng mǎ qí dùn quán dì de zhòng dì xiong gù rán shì zhè yàng xíng ， dàn wǒ quàn dì xiong men yào gèng jiā miǎn lì 。

for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;

又要立志作安静人，办自己的事，亲手做工，正如我们从前所吩咐你们的，

yòu yào lì zhì zuò ān jìng rén ， bàn zì jǐ de shì ， qīn shǒu zuò gōng ， zhèng rú wǒ men cóng qián suǒ fēn fù nǐ men de ，

and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you,

叫你们可以向外人行事端正，自己也就没有什么缺乏了。

jiào nǐ men kě yǐ xiàng wài rén xíng shì duān zhèng ， zì jǐ yě jiù méi yǒu shén me quē fá le 。

that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

论到睡了的人，我们不愿意弟兄们不知道，恐怕你们忧伤，像那些没有指望的人一样。

lùn dào shuì le de rén ， wǒ men bú yuàn yì dì xiōng men bù zhī dào ， kǒng pà nǐ men yōu shāng ， xiàng nà xiē méi yǒu zhǐ wàng de rén yí yàng 。

But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

我们若信耶稣死而复活了，那已经在耶稣里睡了的人， 神也必将他们与耶稣一同带来。

wǒ men ruò xìn yē sū sǐ ér fù huó le ， nà yǐ jīng zài yē sū lǐ shuì le de rén ， shén yě bì jiāng tā men yǔ yē sū yì tóng dài lái 。

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

我们现在照主的话告诉你们一件事：我们这活着还存留到主降临的人，断不能在那已经睡了的人之先。

wǒ men xiàn zài zhào zhǔ de huà gào sù nǐ men yí jiàn shì ： wǒ men zhè huó zhe hái cún liú dào zhǔ jiàng lín de rén ， duàn bù néng zài nà yǐ jīng shuì le de rén zhī xiān 。

For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

因为主必亲自从天降临，有呼叫的声音和天使长的声音，又有 神的号吹响；那在基督里死了的人必先复活。

yīn wéi zhǔ bì qīn zì cóng tiān jiàng lín ， yǒu hū jiào de shēng yīn hé tiān shǐ cháng de shēng yīn ， yòu yǒu shén de hào chuī xiǎng ； nà zài jī dū lǐ sǐ le de rén bì xiān fù huó 。

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first,

以后我们这活着还存留的人必和他们一同被提到云里，在空中与主相遇。这样，我们就要和主永远同在。

yǐ hòu wǒ men zhè huó zhe hái cún liú de rén bì hé tā men yì tóng bèi tí dào yún lǐ ， zài kōng zhōng yǔ zhǔ xiāng yù 。 zhè yàng ， wǒ men jiù yào hé zhǔ yǒng yuǎn tóng zài 。

then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

所以，你们当用这些话彼此劝慰。

suǒ yǐ ， nǐ men dāng yòng zhè xiē huà bǐ cǐ quàn wèi 。

Therefore comfort one another with these words.
