After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.

zǒu biàn le nà yí dài dì fāng , yòng xǔ duō huà quàn miǎn mén tú , rán hòu lái dào xī là 。

When he had gone through those parts and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece.

When he had spent three months there, and a plot was made against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.

These accompanied him as far as Asia: Sopater of Beroea, Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians, Gaius of Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.

zhè xiē rén xiān zǒu , zài tè luó yà děng hòu wǒ men 。

But these had gone ahead, and were waiting for us at Troas.

guò le chú jiào de rì zi , wǒ men cóng féi lì bǐ kāi chuán , wǔ tiān dào le tè luó yà , hé tā men xiāng huì , zài nà lǐ zhù le qī tiān 。

We sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we stayed seven days.

qī rì de dì yī rì , wǒ men jù huì bò bǐng de shí hòu , bǎo luó yīn wèi yào cì rì qǐ xíng , jiù yǔ tā men jiǎng lùn , zhí jiǎng dào bàn yè 。

On the first day of the week, when the disciples were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day; and continued his speech until midnight.

wǒ men jù huì de nà zuò lóu shàng , yǒu hǎo xiē dēng zhú 。

There were many lights in the upper room where we were gathered together.

yǒu yí gè shào nián rén , míng jiào yóu tuī gǔ , zuò zài chuāng tái shàng , kùn juàn chén shuì 。 bǎo luó jiǎng le duō shí , shào nián rén shuì shú le , jiù cóng sān céng lóu shàng diào xià qù ; fú qǐ tā lái , yǐ jīng sǐ le 。

A certain young man named Eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep. As Paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third floor and was taken up dead.

:「。」

bǎo luó xià qù , fú zài tā shēn shàng , bào zhe tā , shuō :「 nǐ men bú yào fā huāng , tā de líng hún hái zài shēn shàng 。」

Paul went down and fell upon him, and embracing him said, “Don’t be troubled, for his life is in him.”

bǎo luó yòu shàng qù , bò bǐng , chī le , tán lùn xǔ jiǔ , zhí dào tiān liàng , zhè cái zǒu le 。

When he had gone up, had broken bread and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even until break of day, he departed.

yǒu rén bǎ nà tóng zǐ huó huó dì lǐng lái , dé de ān wèi bù xiǎo 。

They brought the boy in alive, and were greatly comforted.

wǒ men xiān shàng chuán , kāi wǎng yà shuò qù , yì sī yào zài nà lǐ jiē bǎo luó ; yīn wèi tā shì zhè yàng ān pái de , tā zì jǐ dǎ suàn yào bù xíng 。

But we, going ahead to the ship, set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul aboard there; for he had so arranged, intending himself to go by land.

tā jì zài yà shuò yǔ wǒ men xiāng huì , wǒ men jiù jiē tā shàng chuán , lái dào mǐ tuī lì ní 。

When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and came to Mitylene.

cóng nà lǐ kāi chuán , cì rì dào le jī ā de duì miàn ; yòu cì rì , zài sā mó kào àn ; yòu cì rì , lái dào mǐ lì dōu 。

Sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Chios. The next day we touched at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium, and the day after we came to Miletus.

nǎi yīn bǎo luó zǎo yǐ dìng yì yuè guò yǐ fú suǒ , miǎn de zài yà xì yà dān yán , tā jí máng qián zǒu , bā bù dé gǎn wǔ xún jié néng dào yē lù sā lěng 。

For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.

bǎo luó cóng mǐ lì dōu dǎ fā rén wǎng yǐ fú suǒ qù , qǐng jiào huì de zhǎng lǎo lái 。

From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called to himself the elders of the assembly.

:「

tā men lái le , bǎo luó jiù shuō :「 nǐ men zhī dào , zì cóng wǒ dào yà xì yà de rì zi yǐ lái , zài nǐ men zhōng jiān shǐ zhōng wèi rén rú hé ,

When they had come to him, he said to them, “You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,

fú shì zhǔ , fán shì qiān bēi , yǎn zhōng liú lèi , yòu yīn yóu tài rén de móu hài , jīng lì shì liàn 。

serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews;

nǐ men yě zhī dào , fán yǔ nǐ men yǒu yì de , wǒ méi yǒu yí yàng bì huì bù shuō de , huò zài zhòng rén miàn qián , huò zài gè rén jiā lǐ , wǒ dōu jiào dǎo nǐ men ;

how I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,

yòu duì yóu tài rén hé xī là rén zhèng míng dāng xiàng shén huǐ gǎi , xìn kào wǒ zhǔ yē sū jī dū 。

testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

xiàn zài wǒ wǎng yē lù sā lěng qù , xīn shèn pò qiè , bù zhī dào zài nà lǐ yào yù jiàn shén me shì ;

Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;

dàn zhī dào shèng líng zài gè chéng lǐ xiàng wǒ zhǐ zhèng , shuō yǒu kǔn suǒ yǔ huàn nàn děng dài wǒ 。

except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.

wǒ què bù yǐ xìng mìng wèi niàn , yě bú kàn wèi bǎo guì , zhǐ yào xíng wán wǒ de lù chéng , chéng jiù wǒ cóng zhǔ yē sū suǒ lǐng shòu de zhí shì , zhèng míng shén ēn huì de fú yīn 。

But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.

「 wǒ sù cháng zài nǐ men zhōng jiān lái wǎng , chuán jiǎng shén guó de dào ; rú jīn wǒ xiǎo de , nǐ men yǐ hòu dōu bù dé zài jiàn wǒ de miàn le 。

“Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching God’s Kingdom, will see my face no more.

suǒ yǐ wǒ jīn rì xiàng nǐ men zhèng míng , nǐ men zhōng jiān wú lùn hé rén sǐ wáng , zuì bú zài wǒ shēn shàng 。

Therefore I testify to you today that I am clean from the blood of all men,

yīn wèi shén de zhǐ yì , wǒ bìng méi yǒu yí yàng bì huì bù chuán gěi nǐ men de 。

for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

shèng líng lì nǐ men zuò quán qún de jiān dū , nǐ men jiù dāng wèi zì jǐ jǐn shèn , yě wèi quán qún jǐn shèn , mù yǎng shén de jiào huì , jiù shì tā yòng zì jǐ xuè suǒ mǎi lái de 。

Take heed, therefore, to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.

wǒ zhī dào , wǒ qù zhī hòu bì yǒu xiōng bào de chái láng jìn rù nǐ men zhōng jiān , bú ài xī yáng qún 。

For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

jiù shì nǐ men zhōng jiān , yě bì yǒu rén qǐ lái shuō bèi miù de huà , yào yǐn yòu mén tú gēn cóng tā men 。

Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

suǒ yǐ nǐ men yīng dāng jǐng xǐng , jì niàn wǒ sān nián zhī jiǔ zhòu yè bú zhù dì liú lèi 、 quàn jiè nǐ men gè rén 。

Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn’t cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.

rú jīn wǒ bǎ nǐ men jiāo tuō shén hé tā ēn huì de dào ; zhè dào néng jiàn lì nǐ men , jiào nǐ men hé yí qiè chéng shèng de rén tóng dé jī yè 。

Now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

wǒ wèi céng tān tú yí gè rén de jīn 、 yín 、 yī fu 。

I coveted no one’s silver, gold, or clothing.

wǒ zhè liǎng zhī shǒu cháng gōng jǐ wǒ hé tóng rén de xū yòng , zhè shì nǐ men zì jǐ zhī dào de 。

You yourselves know that these hands served my necessities, and those who were with me.

:『。』」

wǒ fán shì gěi nǐ men zuò bǎng yàng , jiào nǐ men zhī dào yīng dāng zhè yàng láo kǔ , fú zhù ruǎn ruò de rén , yòu dāng jì niàn zhǔ yē sū de huà , shuō :『 shī bǐ shòu gèng wéi yǒu fú 。』」

In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

bǎo luó shuō wán le zhè huà , jiù guì xià tóng zhòng rén dǎo gào 。

When he had spoken these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

zhòng rén tòng kū , bào zhe bǎo luó de jǐng xiàng , hé tā qīn zuǐ 。

They all wept freely, and fell on Paul’s neck and kissed him,

jiào tā men zuì shāng xīn de , jiù shì tā shuō 「 yǐ hòu bù néng zài jiàn wǒ de miàn 」 nà jù huà , yú shì sòng tā shàng chuán qù le 。

sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
