Acts 27
fēi sī dōu jì rán dìng guī le , jiào wǒ men zuò chuán wǎng yì dà lì qù , biàn jiāng bǎo luó hé bié de qiú fàn jiāo gěi yù yíng lǐ de yí gè bǎi fū zhǎng , míng jiào yóu liú 。
When it was determined that we should sail for Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion named Julius, of the Augustan band.
yǒu yì zhī yà dà mǐ tián de chuán , yào yán zhe yà xì yà yí dài dì fāng de hǎi biān zǒu , wǒ men jiù shàng le nà chuán kāi xíng ; yǒu mǎ qí dùn de tiē sā luó ní jiā rén yà lǐ dá gǔ hé wǒ men tóng qù 。
Embarking in a ship of Adramyttium, which was about to sail to places on the coast of Asia, we put to sea, Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica being with us.
dì èr tiān , dào le xī dùn ; yóu liú kuān dài bǎo luó , zhǔn tā wǎng péng yǒu nà lǐ qù , shòu tā men de zhào yìng 。
The next day, we touched at Sidon. Julius treated Paul kindly and gave him permission to go to his friends and refresh himself.
cóng nà lǐ yòu kāi chuán , yīn wèi fēng bú shùn , jiù tiē zhe sāi pǔ lù sī bèi fēng àn xíng qù 。
Putting to sea from there, we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.
guò le jī lì jiā 、 páng fēi lì yà qián miàn de hǎi , jiù dào le lǚ jiā de měi lā 。
When we had sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.
zài nà lǐ , bǎi fū zhǎng yù jiàn yì zhī yà lì shān dà de chuán , yào wǎng yì dà lì qù , biàn jiào wǒ men shàng le nà chuán 。
There the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy, and he put us on board.
yì lián duō rì , chuán xíng dé màn , jǐn jǐn lái dào gé ní tǔ de duì miàn 。 yīn wèi bèi fēng lán zǔ , jiù tiē zhe kè lǐ tè bèi fēng àn , cóng sā mó ní duì miàn xíng guò 。
When we had sailed slowly many days, and had come with difficulty opposite Cnidus, the wind not allowing us further, we sailed under the lee of Crete, opposite Salmone.
wǒ men yán àn xíng zǒu , jǐn jǐn lái dào yí gè dì fāng , míng jiào jiā ào ; lí nà lǐ bù yuǎn , yǒu lā xī yà chéng 。
With difficulty sailing along it we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near the city of Lasea.
zǒu de rì zi duō le , yǐ jīng guò le jìn shí de jié qī , xíng chuán yòu wēi xiǎn , bǎo luó jiù quàn zhòng rén shuō :
When much time had passed and the voyage was now dangerous because the Fast had now already gone by, Paul admonished them
「 zhòng wèi , wǒ kàn zhè cì xíng chuán , bú dàn huò wù hé chuán yào shòu sǔn shāng , dà zāo pò huài , lián wǒ men de xìng mìng yě nán bǎo 。」
and said to them, “Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”
dàn bǎi fū zhǎng xìn cóng zhǎng chuán de hé chuán zhǔ , bú xìn cóng bǎo luó suǒ shuō de 。
But the centurion gave more heed to the master and to the owner of the ship than to those things which were spoken by Paul.
qiě yīn zài zhè hǎi kǒu guò dōng bú biàn , chuán shàng de rén jiù duō bàn shuō , bù rú kāi chuán lí kāi zhè dì fāng , huò zhě néng dào fēi ní jī guò dōng 。 fēi ní jī shì kè lǐ tè de yí gè hǎi kǒu , yí miàn cháo dōng běi , yí miàn cháo dōng nán 。
Because the haven was not suitable to winter in, the majority advised going to sea from there, if by any means they could reach Phoenix and winter there, which is a port of Crete, looking southwest and northwest.
zhè shí , wēi wēi qǐ le nán fēng , tā men yǐ wéi dé yì , jiù qǐ le máo , tiē jìn kè lǐ tè xíng qù 。
When the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, they weighed anchor and sailed along Crete, close to shore.
bù duō jǐ shí , kuáng fēng cóng dǎo shàng pū xià lái ; nà fēng míng jiào 「 yǒu lā gé luó 」。
But before long, a stormy wind beat down from shore, which is called Euroclydon.
chuán bèi fēng zhuā zhù , dí bú zhù fēng , wǒ men jiù rèn fēng guā qù 。
When the ship was caught and couldn’t face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.
tiē zhe yí gè xiǎo dǎo de bèi fēng àn bēn xíng , nà dǎo míng jiào gāo dà , zài nà lǐ jǐn jǐn shōu zhù le xiǎo chuán 。
Running under the lee of a small island called Clauda, we were able, with difficulty, to secure the boat.
jì rán bǎ xiǎo chuán lā shàng lái , jiù yòng lǎn suǒ kǔn bǎng chuán dǐ , yòu kǒng pà zài sài ěr dǐ shā tān shàng gē le qiǎn , jiù luò xià péng lái , rèn chuán piāo qù 。
After they had hoisted it up, they used cables to help reinforce the ship. Fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis sand bars, they lowered the sea anchor, and so were driven along.
wǒ men bèi fēng làng bī dé shèn jí , dì èr tiān zhòng rén jiù bǎ huò wù pāo zài hǎi lǐ 。
As we labored exceedingly with the storm, the next day they began to throw things overboard.
dào dì sān tiān , tā men yòu qīn shǒu bǎ chuán shàng de qì jù pāo qì le 。
On the third day, they threw out the ship’s tackle with their own hands.
tài yáng hé xīng chén duō rì bù xiǎn lù , yòu yǒu kuáng fēng dà làng cuī bī , wǒ men dé jiù de zhǐ wàng jiù dōu jué le 。
When neither sun nor stars shone on us for many days, and no small storm pressed on us, all hope that we would be saved was now taken away.
zhòng rén duō rì méi yǒu chī shén me , bǎo luó jiù chū lái zhàn zài tā men zhōng jiān , shuō :「 zhòng wèi , nǐ men běn gāi tīng wǒ de huà , bù lí kāi kè lǐ tè , miǎn de zāo zhè yàng de shāng sǔn pò huài 。
When they had been long without food, Paul stood up in the middle of them and said, “Sirs, you should have listened to me, and not have set sail from Crete and have gotten this injury and loss.
xiàn zài wǒ hái quàn nǐ men fàng xīn , nǐ men de xìng mìng yí gè yě bù shī sàng , wéi dú shī sàng zhè chuán 。
Now I exhort you to cheer up, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.
yīn wǒ suǒ shǔ suǒ shì fèng de shén , tā de shǐ zhě zuó yè zhàn zài wǒ páng biān , shuō :
For there stood by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve,
『 bǎo luó , bú yào hài pà , nǐ bì dìng zhàn zài kǎi sā miàn qián , bìng qiě yǔ nǐ tóng chuán de rén , shén dōu cì gěi nǐ le 。』
saying, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’
suǒ yǐ zhòng wèi kě yǐ fàng xīn , wǒ xìn shén tā zěn yàng duì wǒ shuō , shì qíng yě yào zěn yàng chéng jiù 。
Therefore, sirs, cheer up! For I believe God, that it will be just as it has been spoken to me.
zhǐ shì wǒ men bì yào zhuàng zài yí gè dǎo shàng 。」
But we must run aground on a certain island.”
dào le dì shí sì tiān yè jiān , chuán zài yà dé lǐ yà hǎi piāo lái piāo qù 。 yuē dào bàn yè , shuǐ shǒu yǐ wéi jiàn jìn hàn dì ,
But when the fourteenth night had come, as we were driven back and forth in the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors surmised that they were drawing near to some land.
jiù tàn shēn qiǎn , tàn dé yǒu shí èr zhàng ; shāo wǎng qián xíng , yòu tàn shēn qiǎn , tàn dé yǒu jiǔ zhàng 。
They took soundings and found twenty fathoms. After a little while, they took soundings again, and found fifteen fathoms.
kǒng pà zhuàng zài shí tou shàng , jiù cóng chuán wěi pāo xià sì gè máo , pàn wàng tiān liàng 。
Fearing that we would run aground on rocky ground, they let go four anchors from the stern, and wished for daylight.
shuǐ shǒu xiǎng yào táo chū chuán qù , bǎ xiǎo chuán fàng zài hǎi lǐ , jiǎ zuò yào cóng chuán tóu pāo máo de yàng zi 。
As the sailors were trying to flee out of the ship and had lowered the boat into the sea, pretending that they would lay out anchors from the bow,
bǎo luó duì bǎi fū zhǎng hé bīng dīng shuō :「 zhè xiē rén ruò bù děng zài chuán shàng , nǐ men bì bù néng dé jiù 。」
Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, “Unless these stay in the ship, you can’t be saved.”
yú shì bīng dīng kǎn duàn xiǎo chuán de shéng zi , yóu tā piāo qù 。
Then the soldiers cut away the ropes of the boat and let it fall off.
tiān jiàn liàng de shí hòu , bǎo luó quàn zhòng rén dōu chī fàn , shuō :「 nǐ men xuán wàng rěn è bù chī shén me , yǐ jīng shí sì tiān le 。
While the day was coming on, Paul begged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day that you wait and continue fasting, having taken nothing.
suǒ yǐ wǒ quàn nǐ men chī fàn , zhè shì guān hū nǐ men jiù mìng de shì ; yīn wèi nǐ men gè rén lián yì gēn tóu fa yě bú zhì yú sǔn huài 。」
Therefore I beg you to take some food, for this is for your safety; for not a hair will perish from any of your heads.”
bǎo luó shuō le zhè huà , jiù ná zhe bǐng , zài zhòng rén miàn qián zhù xiè le shén , bò kāi chī 。
When he had said this and had taken bread, he gave thanks to God in the presence of all; then he broke it and began to eat.
yú shì tā men dōu fàng xià xīn , yě jiù chī le 。
Then they all cheered up, and they also took food.
wǒ men zài chuán shàng de gòng yǒu èr bǎi qī shí liù gè rén 。
In all, we were two hundred seventy-six souls on the ship.
tā men chī bǎo le , jiù bǎ chuán shàng de mài zi pāo zài hǎi lǐ , wèi yào jiào chuán qīng yì diǎn 。
When they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea.
dào le tiān liàng , tā men bú rèn shi nà dì fāng , dàn jiàn yí gè hǎi wān , yǒu àn kě dēng , jiù shāng yì néng bǎ chuán lǒng jìn qù bù néng 。
When it was day, they didn’t recognize the land, but they noticed a certain bay with a beach, and they decided to try to drive the ship onto it.
yú shì kǎn duàn lǎn suǒ , qì máo zài hǎi lǐ ; tóng shí yě sōng kāi duò shéng , lā qǐ tóu péng , shùn zhe fēng xiàng àn xíng qù 。
Casting off the anchors, they left them in the sea, at the same time untying the rudder ropes. Hoisting up the foresail to the wind, they made for the beach.
dàn yù zhe liǎng shuǐ jiá liú de dì fāng , jiù bǎ chuán gē le qiǎn ; chuán tóu jiāo zhù bú dòng , chuán wěi bèi làng de měng lì chōng huài 。
But coming to a place where two seas met, they ran the vessel aground. The bow struck and remained immovable, but the stern began to break up by the violence of the waves.
bīng dīng de yì sī yào bǎ qiú fàn shā le , kǒng pà yǒu fú shuǐ tuō táo de 。
The soldiers’ counsel was to kill the prisoners, so that none of them would swim out and escape.
但百夫长要救保罗,不准他们任意而行,就吩咐会洑水的,跳下水去先上岸;
dàn bǎi fū zhǎng yào jiù bǎo luó , bù zhǔn tā men rèn yì ér xíng , jiù fēn fù huì fú shuǐ de , tiào xià shuǐ qù xiān shàng àn ;
But the centurion, desiring to save Paul, stopped them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should throw themselves overboard first to go toward the land;
qí yú de rén kě yǐ yòng bǎn zǐ huò chuán shàng de líng suì dōng xī shàng àn 。 zhè yàng , zhòng rén dōu dé le jiù , shàng le àn 。
and the rest should follow, some on planks and some on other things from the ship. So they all escaped safely to the land.
