Genesis 34

利亚给雅各所生的女儿底拿出去，要见那地的女子们。

lì yà gěi yǎ gè suǒ shēng de nǚ ér dǐ ná chū qù ， yào jiàn nà dì de nǚ zǐ men 。

Dinah, the daughter of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.

那地的主—希未人、哈抹的儿子示剑看见她，就拉住她，与她行淫，玷辱她。

nà dì de zhǔ — xī wèi rén 、 hā mǒ de ér zi shì jiàn kàn jiàn tā ， jiù lā zhù tā ， yǔ tā xíng yín ， diàn rǔ tā 。

Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her. He took her, lay with her, and humbled her.

示剑的心系恋雅各的女儿底拿，喜爱这女子，甜言蜜语地安慰她。

shì jiàn de xīn xì liàn yǎ gè de nǚ ér dǐ ná ， xǐ ài zhè nǚ zǐ ， tián yán mì yǔ dì ān wèi tā 。

His soul joined to Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the young lady, and spoke kindly to the young lady.

示剑对他父亲哈抹说：「求你为我聘这女子为妻。」

shì jiàn duì tā fù qīn hā mǒ shuō ：「 qiú nǐ wèi wǒ pìn zhè nǚ zǐ wèi qī 。」

Shechem spoke to his father, Hamor, saying, “Get me this young lady as a wife.”

雅各听见示剑玷污了他的女儿底拿。那时他的儿子们正和群畜在田野，雅各就闭口不言，等他们回来。

yǎ gè tīng jiàn shì jiàn diàn wū le tā de nǚ ér dǐ ná 。 nà shí tā de ér zǐ men zhèng hé qún chù zài tián yě ， yǎ gè jiù bì kǒu bù yán ， děng tā men huí lái 。

Now Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah, his daughter; and his sons were with his livestock in the field. Jacob held his peace until they came.

示剑的父亲哈抹出来见雅各，要和他商议。

shì jiàn de fù qīn hā mǒ chū lái jiàn yǎ gè ， yào hé tā shāng yì 。

Hamor the father of Shechem went out to Jacob to talk with him.

雅各的儿子们听见这事，就从田野回来，人人忿恨，十分恼怒；因示剑在以色列家做了丑事，与雅各的女儿行淫，这本是不该做的事。

yǎ gè de ér zi men tīng jiàn zhè shì ， jiù cóng tián yě huí lái ， rén rén fèn hèn ， shí fēn nǎo nù ； yīn shì jiàn zài yǐ sè liè jiā zuò le chǒu shì ， yǔ yǎ gè de nǚ ér xíng yín ， zhè běn shì bù gāi zuò de shì 。

The sons of Jacob came in from the field when they heard it. The men were grieved, and they were very angry, because he had done folly in Israel in lying with Jacob’s daughter, a thing that ought not to be done.

哈抹和他们商议说：「我儿子示剑的心恋慕这女子，求你们将她给我的儿子为妻。

hā mǒ hé tā men shāng yì shuō ：「 wǒ ér zi shì jiàn de xīn liàn mù zhè nǚ zǐ ， qiú nǐ men jiāng tā gěi wǒ de ér zi wèi qī 。

Hamor talked with them, saying, “The soul of my son, Shechem, longs for your daughter. Please give her to him as a wife.

你们与我们彼此结亲；你们可以把女儿给我们，也可以娶我们的女儿。

nǐ men yǔ wǒ men bǐ cǐ jié qīn ； nǐ men kě yǐ bǎ nǚ ér gěi wǒ men ， yě kě yǐ qǔ wǒ men de nǚ ér 。

Make marriages with us. Give your daughters to us, and take our daughters for yourselves.

你们与我们同住吧！这地都在你们面前，只管在此居住，做买卖，置产业。」

nǐ men yǔ wǒ men tóng zhù ba ！ zhè dì dōu zài nǐ men miàn qián ， zhǐ guǎn zài cǐ jū zhù ， zuò mǎi mài ， zhì chǎn yè 。」

You shall dwell with us, and the land will be before you. Live and trade in it, and get possessions in it.”

示剑对女儿的父亲和弟兄们说：「但愿我在你们眼前蒙恩，你们向我要什么，我必给你们。

shì jiàn duì nǚ ér de fù qīn hé dì xiong men shuō ：「 dàn yuàn wǒ zài nǐ men yǎn qián méng ēn ， nǐ men xiàng wǒ yào shén me ， wǒ bì gěi nǐ men 。

Shechem said to her father and to her brothers, “Let me find favor in your eyes, and whatever you will tell me I will give.

任凭向我要多重的聘金和礼物，我必照你们所说的给你们；只要把女子给我为妻。」

rèn píng xiàng wǒ yào duō chóng de pìn jīn hé lǐ wù ， wǒ bì zhào nǐ men suǒ shuō de gěi nǐ men ； zhǐ yào bǎ nǚ zǐ gěi wǒ wèi qī 。」

Ask me a great amount for a dowry, and I will give whatever you ask of me, but give me the young lady as a wife.”

雅各的儿子们因为示剑玷污了他们的妹子底拿，就用诡诈的话回答示剑和他父亲哈抹，

yǎ gè de ér zi men yīn wèi shì jiàn diàn wū le tā men de mèi zǐ dǐ ná ， jiù yòng guǐ zhà de huà huí dá shì jiàn hé tā fù qīn hā mǒ ，

The sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father with deceit when they spoke, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,

对他们说：「我们不能把我们的妹子给没有受割礼的人为妻，因为那是我们的羞辱。

duì tā men shuō ：「 wǒ men bù néng bǎ wǒ men de mèi zǐ gěi méi yǒu shòu gē lǐ de rén wéi qī ， yīn wèi nà shì wǒ men de xiū rǔ 。

and said to them, “We can’t do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised; for that is a reproach to us.

惟有一件才可以应允：若你们所有的男丁都受割礼，和我们一样，

wéi yǒu yí jiàn cái kě yǐ yīng yǔn ： ruò nǐ men suǒ yǒu de nán dīng dōu shòu gē lǐ ， hé wǒ men yí yàng ，

Only on this condition will we consent to you. If you will be as we are, that every male of you be circumcised,

我们就把女儿给你们，也娶你们的女儿；我们便与你们同住，两下成为一样的人民。

wǒ men jiù bǎ nǚ ér gěi nǐ men ， yě qǔ nǐ men de nǚ ér ； wǒ men biàn yǔ nǐ men tóng zhù ， liǎng xià chéng wéi yí yàng de rén mín 。

then will we give our daughters to you; and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.

倘若你们不听从我们受割礼，我们就带着妹子走了。」

tǎng ruò nǐ men bù tīng cóng wǒ men shòu gē lǐ ， wǒ men jiù dài zhe mèi zǐ zǒu le 。」

But if you will not listen to us and be circumcised, then we will take our sister, and we will be gone.”

哈抹和他的儿子示剑喜欢这话。

hā mǒ hé tā de ér zi shì jiàn xǐ huan zhè huà 。

Their words pleased Hamor and Shechem, Hamor’s son.

那少年人做这事并不迟延，因为他喜爱雅各的女儿；他在他父亲家中也是人最尊重的。

nà shào nián rén zuò zhè shì bìng bù chí yán ， yīn wèi tā xǐ ài yǎ gè de nǚ ér ； tā zài tā fù qìng jia zhōng yě shì rén zuì zūn zhòng de 。

The young man didn’t wait to do this thing, because he had delight in Jacob’s daughter, and he was honored above all the house of his father.

哈抹和他儿子示剑到本城的门口，对本城的人说：

hā mǒ hé tā ér zi shì jiàn dào běn chéng de mén kǒu ， duì běn chéng de rén shuō ：

Hamor and Shechem, his son, came to the gate of their city, and talked with the men of their city, saying,

「这些人与我们和睦，不如许他们在这地居住，做买卖；这地也宽阔，足可容下他们。我们可以娶他们的女儿为妻，也可以把我们的女儿嫁给他们。

「 zhè xiē rén yǔ wǒ men hé mù ， bù rú xǔ tā men zài zhè dì jū zhù ， zuò mǎi mài ； zhè dì yě kuān kuò ， zú kě róng xià tā men 。 wǒ men kě yǐ qǔ tā men de nǚ ér wèi qī ， yě kě yǐ bǎ wǒ men de nǚ ér jià gěi tā men 。

“These men are peaceful with us. Therefore let them live in the land and trade in it. For behold, the land is large enough for them. Let’s take their daughters to us for wives, and let’s give them our daughters.

惟有一件事我们必须做，他们才肯应允和我们同住，成为一样的人民：就是我们中间所有的男丁都要受割礼，和他们一样。

wéi yǒu yí jiàn shì wǒ men bì xū zuò ， tā men cái kěn yīng yǔn hé wǒ men tóng zhù ， chéng wéi yí yàng de rén mín ： jiù shì wǒ men zhōng jiān suǒ yǒu de nán dīng dōu yào shòu gē lǐ ， hé tā men yí yàng 。

Only on this condition will the men consent to us to live with us, to become one people, if every male among us is circumcised, as they are circumcised.

他们的群畜、货财，和一切的牲口岂不都归我们吗？只要依从他们，他们就与我们同住。」

tā men de qún chù 、 huò cái ， hé yí qiè de shēng kǒu qǐ bù dōu guī wǒ men ma ？ zhǐ yào yī cóng tā men ， tā men jiù yǔ wǒ men tóng zhù 。」

Won’t their livestock and their possessions and all their animals be ours? Only let’s give our consent to them, and they will dwell with us.”

凡从城门出入的人就都听从哈抹和他儿子示剑的话；于是凡从城门出入的男丁都受了割礼。

fán cóng chéng mén chū rù de rén jiù dōu tīng cóng hā mǒ hé tā ér zi shì jiàn de huà ； yú shì fán cóng chéng mén chū rù de nán dīng dōu shòu le gē lǐ 。

All who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor, and to Shechem his son; and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.

到第三天，众人正在疼痛的时候，雅各的两个儿子，就是底拿的哥哥西缅和利未，各拿刀剑，趁着众人想不到的时候来到城中，把一切男丁都杀了，

dào dì sān tiān ， zhòng rén zhèng zài téng tòng de shí hòu ， yǎ gè de liǎng gè ér zi ， jiù shì dǐ ná de gē ge xī miǎn hé lì wèi ， gè ná dāo jiàn ， chèn zhe zhòng rén xiǎng bú dào de shí hòu lái dào chéng zhōng ， bǎ yí qiè nán dīng dōu shā le ，

On the third day, when they were sore, two of Jacob’s sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword, came upon the unsuspecting city, and killed all the males.

又用刀杀了哈抹和他儿子示剑，把底拿从示剑家里带出来就走了。

yòu yòng dāo shā le hā mǒ hé tā ér zi shì jiàn ， bǎ dǐ ná cóng shì jiàn jiā lǐ dài chū lái jiù zǒu le 。

They killed Hamor and Shechem, his son, with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem’s house, and went away.

雅各的儿子们因为他们的妹子受了玷污，就来到被杀的人那里，掳掠那城，

yǎ gè de ér zi men yīn wèi tā men de mèi zǐ shòu le diàn wū ， jiù lái dào bèi shā de rén nà lǐ ， lǔ lüè nà chéng ，

Jacob’s sons came on the dead, and plundered the city, because they had defiled their sister.

夺了他们的羊群、牛群，和驴，并城里田间所有的；

duó le tā men de yáng qún 、 niú qún ， hé lǘ ， bìng chéng lǐ tián jiān suǒ yǒu de ；

They took their flocks, their herds, their donkeys, that which was in the city, that which was in the field,

又把他们一切货财、孩子、妇女，并各房中所有的，都掳掠去了。

yòu bǎ tā men yí qiè huò cái 、 hái zi 、 fù nǚ ， bìng gè fáng zhōng suǒ yǒu de ， dōu lǔ lüè qù le 。

and all their wealth. They took captive all their little ones and their wives, and took as plunder everything that was in the house.

雅各对西缅和利未说：「你们连累我，使我在这地的居民中，就是在迦南人和比利洗人中，有了臭名。我的人丁既然稀少，他们必聚集来击杀我，我和全家的人都必灭绝。」

yǎ gè duì xī miǎn hé lì wèi shuō ：「 nǐ men lián lèi wǒ ， shǐ wǒ zài zhè dì de jū mín zhōng ， jiù shì zài jiā nán rén hé bǐ lì xǐ rén zhōng ， yǒu le chòu míng 。 wǒ de rén dīng jì rán xī shǎo ， tā men bì jù jí lái jī shā wǒ ， wǒ hé quán jiā de rén dōu bì miè jué 。」

Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have troubled me, to make me odious to the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites. I am few in number. They will gather themselves together against me and strike me, and I will be destroyed, I and my house.”

他们说：「他岂可待我们的妹子如同妓女吗？」

tā men shuō ：「 tā qǐ kě dài wǒ men de mèi zǐ rú tóng jì nǚ ma ？」

They said, “Should he deal with our sister as with a prostitute?”
