Jeremiah 37

约西亚的儿子西底家代替约雅敬的儿子哥尼雅为王，是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒立在犹大地作王的。

yuē xī yà de ér zi xī dǐ jiā dài tì yuē yǎ jìng de ér zi gē ní yǎ wèi wáng ， shì bā bǐ lún wáng ní bù jiǎ ní sā lì zài yóu dà dì zuò wáng de 。

Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned as king instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.

但西底家和他的臣仆，并国中的百姓，都不听从耶和华借先知耶利米所说的话。

dàn xī dǐ jiā hé tā de chén pú ， bìng guó zhōng de bǎi xìng ， dōu bù tīng cóng yē hé huá jiè xiān zhī yē lì mǐ suǒ shuō de huà 。

But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, listened to the LORD’s words, which he spoke by the prophet Jeremiah.

西底家王打发示利米雅的儿子犹甲和祭司玛西雅的儿子西番雅去见先知耶利米，说：「求你为我们祷告耶和华—我们的 神。」

xī dǐ jiā wáng dǎ fā shì lì mǐ yǎ de ér zi yóu jiǎ hé jì sī mǎ xī yǎ de ér zi xī fān yǎ qù jiàn xiān zhī yē lì mǐ ， shuō ：「 qiú nǐ wèi wǒ men dǎo gào yē hé huá — wǒ men de shén 。」

Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “Pray now to the LORD our God for us.”

那时耶利米在民中出入，因为他们还没有把他囚在监里。

nà shí yē lì mǐ zài mín zhōng chū rù ， yīn wèi tā men hái méi yǒu bǎ tā qiú zài jiān lǐ 。

Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people, for they had not put him into prison.

法老的军队已经从埃及出来，那围困耶路撒冷的迦勒底人听见他们的风声，就拔营离开耶路撒冷去了。

fǎ lǎo de jūn duì yǐ jīng cóng āi jí chū lái ， nà wéi kùn yē lù sā lěng de jiā lè dǐ rén tīng jiàn tā men de fēng shēng ， jiù bá yíng lí kāi yē lù sā lěng qù le 。

Pharaoh’s army had come out of Egypt; and when the Chaldeans who were besieging Jerusalem heard news of them, they withdrew from Jerusalem.

耶和华的话临到先知耶利米说：

yē hé huá de huà lín dào xiān zhī yē lì mǐ shuō ：

Then the LORD’s word came to the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

「耶和华—以色列的 神如此说：犹大王打发你们来求问我，你们要如此对他说：『那出来帮助你们法老的军队必回埃及本国去。

「 yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō ： yóu dà wáng dǎ fā nǐ men lái qiú wèn wǒ ， nǐ men yào rú cǐ duì tā shuō ：『 nà chū lái bāng zhù nǐ men fǎ lǎo de jūn duì bì huí āi jí běn guó qù 。

“The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘You shall tell the king of Judah, who sent you to me to inquire of me: “Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which has come out to help you, will return to Egypt into their own land.

迦勒底人必再来攻打这城，并要攻取，用火焚烧。

jiā lè dǐ rén bì zài lái gōng dǎ zhè chéng ， bìng yào gōng qǔ ， yòng huǒ fén shāo 。

The Chaldeans will come again, and fight against this city. They will take it and burn it with fire.”’

耶和华如此说：你们不要自欺说「迦勒底人必定离开我们」，因为他们必不离开。

yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō ： nǐ men bú yào zì qī shuō 「 jiā lè dǐ rén bì dìng lí kāi wǒ men 」， yīn wèi tā men bì bù lí kāi 。

“The LORD says, ‘Don’t deceive yourselves, saying, “The Chaldeans will surely depart from us;” for they will not depart.

你们即便杀败了与你们争战的迦勒底全军，但剩下受伤的人也必各人从帐棚里起来，用火焚烧这城。』」

nǐ men jí biàn shā bài le yǔ nǐ men zhēng zhàn de jiā lè dǐ quán jūn ， dàn shèng xià shòu shāng de rén yě bì gè rén cóng zhàng péng lǐ qǐ lái ， yòng huǒ fén shāo zhè chéng 。』」

For though you had struck the whole army of the Chaldeans who fight against you, and only wounded men remained among them, they would each rise up in his tent and burn this city with fire.’”

迦勒底的军队因怕法老的军队，拔营离开耶路撒冷的时候，

jiā lè dǐ de jūn duì yīn pà fǎ lǎo de jūn duì ， bá yíng lí kāi yē lù sā lěng de shí hòu ，

When the army of the Chaldeans had withdrawn from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s army,

耶利米就杂在民中出离耶路撒冷，要往便雅悯地去，在那里得自己的地业。

yē lì mǐ jiù zá zài mín zhōng chū lí yē lù sā lěng ， yào wǎng biàn yǎ mǐn dì qù ， zài nà lǐ dé zì jǐ de dì yè 。

then Jeremiah went out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to receive his portion there, in the middle of the people.

他到了便雅悯门那里，有守门官名叫伊利雅，是哈拿尼亚的孙子、示利米雅的儿子，他就拿住先知耶利米，说：「你是投降迦勒底人哪！」

tā dào le biàn yǎ mǐn mén nà lǐ ， yǒu shǒu mén guān míng jiào yī lì yǎ ， shì hā ná ní yà de sūn zi 、 shì lì mǐ yǎ de ér zǐ ， tā jiù ná zhù xiān zhī yē lì mǐ ， shuō ：「 nǐ shì tóu xiáng jiā lè dǐ rén nǎ ！」

When he was in Benjamin’s gate, a captain of the guard was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he seized Jeremiah the prophet, saying, “You are defecting to the Chaldeans!”

耶利米说：「你这是谎话，我并不是投降迦勒底人。」伊利雅不听他的话，就拿住他，解到首领那里。

yē lì mǐ shuō ：「 nǐ zhè shì huǎng huà ， wǒ bìng bú shì tóu xiáng jiā lè dǐ rén 。」 yī lì yǎ bù tīng tā de huà ， jiù ná zhù tā ， jiě dào shǒu lǐng nà lǐ 。

Then Jeremiah said, “That is false! I am not defecting to the Chaldeans.” But he didn’t listen to him; so Irijah seized Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.

首领恼怒耶利米，就打了他，将他囚在文士约拿单的房屋中，因为他们以这房屋当作监牢。

shǒu lǐng nǎo nù yē lì mǐ ， jiù dǎ le tā ， jiāng tā qiú zài wén shì yuē ná dān de fáng wū zhōng ， yīn wèi tā men yǐ zhè fáng wū dàng zuò jiān láo 。

The princes were angry with Jeremiah, and struck him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe; for they had made that the prison.

耶利米来到狱中，进入牢房，在那里囚了多日。

yē lì mǐ lái dào yù zhōng ， jìn rù láo fáng ， zài nà lǐ qiú le duō rì 。

When Jeremiah had come into the dungeon house and into the cells, and Jeremiah had remained there many days,

西底家王打发人提出他来，在自己的宫内私下问他说：「从耶和华有什么话临到没有？」耶利米说：「有！」又说：「你必交在巴比伦王手中。」

xī dǐ jiā wáng dǎ fā rén tí chū tā lái ， zài zì jǐ de gōng nèi sī xià wèn tā shuō ：「 cóng yē hé huá yǒu shén me huà lín dào méi yǒu ？」 yē lì mǐ shuō ：「 yǒu ！」 yòu shuō ：「 nǐ bì jiāo zài bā bǐ lún wáng shǒu zhōng 。」

then Zedekiah the king sent and had him brought out. The king asked him secretly in his house, “Is there any word from the LORD?” Jeremiah said, “There is.” He also said, “You will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”

耶利米又对西底家王说：「我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你竟将我囚在监里呢？

yē lì mǐ yòu duì xī dǐ jiā wáng shuō ：「 wǒ zài shén me shì shàng dé zuì nǐ ， huò nǐ de chén pú ， huò zhè bǎi xìng ， nǐ jìng jiāng wǒ qiú zài jiān lǐ ne ？

Moreover Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah, “How have I sinned against you, against your servants, or against this people, that you have put me in prison?

对你们预言巴比伦王必不来攻击你们和这地的先知，现今在哪里呢？

duì nǐ men yù yán bā bǐ lún wáng bì bù lái gōng jī nǐ men hé zhè dì de xiān zhī ， xiàn jīn zài nǎ lǐ ne ？

Now where are your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, ‘The king of Babylon will not come against you, nor against this land’?

主—我的王啊，求你现在垂听，准我在你面前的恳求：不要使我回到文士约拿单的房屋中，免得我死在那里。」

zhǔ — wǒ de wáng a ， qiú nǐ xiàn zài chuí tīng ， zhǔn wǒ zài nǐ miàn qián de kěn qiú ： bú yào shǐ wǒ huí dào wén shì yuē ná dān de fáng wū zhōng ， miǎn de wǒ sǐ zài nà lǐ 。」

Now please hear, my lord the king: please let my supplication be presented before you, that you not cause me to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.”

于是，西底家王下令，他们就把耶利米交在护卫兵的院中，每天从饼铺街取一个饼给他，直到城中的饼用尽了。这样，耶利米仍在护卫兵的院中。

yú shì ， xī dǐ jiā wáng xià lìng ， tā men jiù bǎ yē lì mǐ jiāo zài hù wèi bīng de yuàn zhōng ， měi tiān cóng bǐng pù jiē qǔ yí gè bǐng gěi tā ， zhí dào chéng zhōng de bǐng yòng jìn le 。 zhè yàng ， yē lì mǐ réng zài hù wèi bīng de yuàn zhōng 。

Then Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah into the court of the guard. They gave him daily a loaf of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city was gone. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.
