yuē bó huí dá shuō :

Then Job answered,

nǐ men jiǎo rǎo wǒ de xīn , yòng yán yǔ yā suì wǒ yào dào jǐ shí ne ?

“How long will you torment me, and crush me with words?

nǐ men zhè shí cì xiū rǔ wǒ ; nǐ men kǔ dài wǒ yě bù yǐ wéi chǐ 。

You have reproached me ten times. You aren’t ashamed that you attack me.

guǒ zhēn wǒ yǒu cuò , zhè cuò nǎi shì zài wǒ 。

If it is true that I have erred, my error remains with myself.

nǐ men guǒ rán yào xiàng wǒ kuā dà , yǐ wǒ de xiū rǔ wèi zhèng zhǐ zé wǒ ,

If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach,

jiù gāi zhī dào shì shén qīng fù wǒ , yòng wǎng luó wéi rào wǒ 。

know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.

wǒ yīn wěi qū hū jiào , què bù méng yīng yǔn ; wǒ hū qiú , què bù dé gōng duàn 。

“Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard. I cry for help, but there is no justice.

使使

shén yòng lí bā lán zhù wǒ de dào lù , shǐ wǒ bù dé jīng guò ; yòu shǐ wǒ de lù jìng hēi àn 。

He has walled up my way so that I can’t pass, and has set darkness in my paths.

tā bāo qù wǒ de róng guāng , zhāi qù wǒ tóu shàng de guān miǎn 。

He has stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

便

tā zài sì wéi gōng jī wǒ , wǒ biàn guī yú sǐ wáng , jiāng wǒ de zhǐ wàng rú shù bá chū lái 。

He has broken me down on every side, and I am gone. He has plucked my hope up like a tree.

忿

tā de fèn nù xiàng wǒ fā zuò , yǐ wǒ wèi dí rén 。

He has also kindled his wrath against me. He counts me among his adversaries.

tā de jūn lǚ yì qí shàng lái , xiū zhù zhàn lù gōng jī wǒ , zài wǒ zhàng péng de sì wéi ān yíng 。

His troops come on together, build a siege ramp against me, and encamp around my tent.

使

tā bǎ wǒ de dì xiong gé zài yuǎn chù , shǐ wǒ suǒ rèn shi de quán rán yǔ wǒ shēng shū 。

“He has put my brothers far from me. My acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.

wǒ de qīn qi yǔ wǒ duàn jué ; wǒ de mì yǒu dōu wàng jì wǒ 。

My relatives have gone away. My familiar friends have forgotten me.

使

zài wǒ jiā jì jū de , hé wǒ de shǐ nǚ dōu yǐ wǒ wèi wài rén ; wǒ zài tā men yǎn zhōng kàn wèi wài bāng rén 。

Those who dwell in my house and my maids consider me a stranger. I am an alien in their sight.

wǒ hū huàn pú rén , suī yòng kǒu qiú tā , tā hái shì bù huí dá 。

I call to my servant, and he gives me no answer. I beg him with my mouth.

wǒ kǒu de qì wèi , wǒ qī zǐ yàn wù ; wǒ de kěn qiú , wǒ tóng bāo yě zēng xián 。

My breath is offensive to my wife. I am loathsome to the children of my own mother.

lián xiǎo hái zi yě miǎo shì wǒ ; wǒ ruò qǐ lái , tā men dōu cháo xiào wǒ 。

Even young children despise me. If I arise, they speak against me.

wǒ de mì yǒu dōu zēng wù wǒ ; wǒ píng rì suǒ ài de rén xiàng wǒ fān liǎn 。

All my familiar friends abhor me. They whom I loved have turned against me.

wǒ de pí ròu jǐn tiē gǔ tou ; wǒ zhī shèng yá pí táo tuō le 。

My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh. I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.

wǒ péng yǒu a , kě lián wǒ ! kě lián wǒ ! yīn wèi shén de shǒu gōng jī wǒ 。

“Have pity on me. Have pity on me, you my friends, for the hand of God has touched me.

仿

nǐ men wèi shén me fǎng fú shén bī pò wǒ , chī wǒ de ròu hái yǐ wéi bù zú ne ?

Why do you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

wéi yuàn wǒ de yán yǔ xiàn zài xiě shàng , dōu jì lù zài shū shàng ;

“Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!

yòng tiě bǐ juān kè , yòng qiān guàn zài pán shí shàng , zhí cún dào yǒng yuǎn 。

That with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock forever!

wǒ zhī dào wǒ de jiù shú zhǔ huó zhe , mò liǎo bì zhàn lì zài dì shàng 。

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.

wǒ zhè pí ròu miè jué zhī hòu , wǒ bì zài ròu tǐ zhī wài dé jiàn shén 。

After my skin is destroyed, then I will see God in my flesh,

wǒ zì jǐ yào jiàn tā , qīn yǎn yào kàn tā , bìng bú xiàng wài rén 。 wǒ de xīn cháng zài wǒ lǐ miàn xiāo miè le !

whom I, even I, will see on my side. My eyes will see, and not as a stranger. “My heart is consumed within me.

nǐ men ruò shuō : wǒ men bī pò tā yào hé děng dì zhòng ne ? rě shì de gēn nǎi zài hū tā ;

If you say, ‘How we will persecute him!’ because the root of the matter is found in me,

忿使

nǐ men jiù dāng jù pà dāo jiàn ; yīn wèi fèn nù rě dòng dāo jiàn de xíng fá , shǐ nǐ men zhī dào yǒu bào yìng 。

be afraid of the sword, for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment.”
