Ruth 4

波阿斯到了城门，坐在那里，恰巧波阿斯所说的那至近的亲属经过。波阿斯说：「某人哪，你来坐在这里。」他就来坐下。

bō ā sī dào le chéng mén ， zuò zài nà lǐ ， qià qiǎo bō ā sī suǒ shuō de nà zhì jìn de qīn shǔ jīng guò 。 bō ā sī shuō ：「 mǒu rén nǎ ， nǐ lái zuò zài zhè lǐ 。」 tā jiù lái zuò xià 。

Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there. Behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by. Boaz said to him, “Come over here, friend, and sit down!” He came over, and sat down.

波阿斯又从本城的长老中拣选了十人，对他们说：「请你们坐在这里。」他们就都坐下。

bō ā sī yòu cóng běn chéng de zhǎng lǎo zhōng jiǎn xuǎn le shí rén ， duì tā men shuō ：「 qǐng nǐ men zuò zài zhè lǐ 。」 tā men jiù dōu zuò xià 。

Boaz took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, “Sit down here,” and they sat down.

波阿斯对那至近的亲属说：「从摩押地回来的拿俄米，现在要卖我们族兄以利米勒的那块地；

bō ā sī duì nà zhì jìn de qīn shǔ shuō ：「 cóng mó yā dì huí lái de ná é mǐ ， xiàn zài yào mài wǒ men zú xiōng yǐ lì mǐ lè de nà kuài dì ；

He said to the near kinsman, “Naomi, who has come back out of the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s.

我想当赎那块地的是你，其次是我，以外再没有别人了。你可以在这里的人面前和我本国的长老面前说明，你若肯赎就赎，若不肯赎就告诉我。」那人回答说：「我肯赎。」

wǒ xiǎng dāng shú nà kuài dì de shì nǐ ， qí cì shì wǒ ， yǐ wài zài méi yǒu bié rén le 。 nǐ kě yǐ zài zhè lǐ de rén miàn qián hé wǒ běn guó de zhǎng lǎo miàn qián shuō míng ， nǐ ruò kěn shú jiù shú ， ruò bù kěn shú jiù gào sù wǒ 。」 nà rén huí dá shuō ：「 wǒ kěn shú 。」

I thought I should tell you, saying, ‘Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know. For there is no one to redeem it besides you; and I am after you.” He said, “I will redeem it.”

波阿斯说：「你从拿俄米手中买这地的时候，也当娶 死人的妻摩押女子路得，使死人在产业上存留他的名。」

bō ā sī shuō ：「 nǐ cóng ná é mǐ shǒu zhōng mǎi zhè dì de shí hòu ， yě dāng qǔ sǐ rén de qī mó yā nǚ zǐ lù dé ， shǐ sǐ rén zài chǎn yè shàng cún liú tā de míng 。」

Then Boaz said, “On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance.”

那人说：「这样我就不能赎了，恐怕于我的产业有碍。你可以赎我所当赎的，我不能赎了。」

nà rén shuō ：「 zhè yàng wǒ jiù bù néng shú le ， kǒng pà yú wǒ de chǎn yè yǒu ài 。 nǐ kě yǐ shú wǒ suǒ dāng shú de ， wǒ bù néng shú le 。」

The near kinsman said, “I can’t redeem it for myself, lest I endanger my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption for yourself; for I can’t redeem it.”

从前，在以色列中要定夺什么事，或赎回，或交易，这人就脱鞋给那人。以色列人都以此为证据。

cóng qián ， zài yǐ sè liè zhōng yào dìng duó shén me shì ， huò shú huí ， huò jiāo yì ， zhè rén jiù tuō xié gěi nà rén 。 yǐ sè liè rén dōu yǐ cǐ wèi zhèng jù 。

Now this was the custom in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning exchanging, to confirm all things: a man took off his sandal, and gave it to his neighbor; and this was the way of formalizing transactions in Israel.

那人对波阿斯说：「你自己买吧！」于是将鞋脱下来了。

nà rén duì bō ā sī shuō ：「 nǐ zì jǐ mǎi ba ！」 yú shì jiāng xié tuō xià lái le 。

So the near kinsman said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself,” then he took off his sandal.

波阿斯对长老和众民说：「你们今日作见证，凡属以利米勒和基连、玛伦的，我都从拿俄米手中置买了；

bō ā sī duì zhǎng lǎo hé zhòng mín shuō ：「 nǐ men jīn rì zuò jiàn zhèng ， fán shǔ yǐ lì mǐ lè hé jī lián 、 mǎ lún de ， wǒ dōu cóng ná é mǐ shǒu zhōng zhì mǎi le ；

Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, “You are witnesses today, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi.

又娶了玛伦的妻摩押女子路得为妻，好在死人的产业上存留他的名，免得他的名在本族本乡灭没。你们今日可以作见证。」

yòu qǔ le mǎ lún de qī mó yā nǚ zǐ lù dé wèi qī ， hǎo zài sǐ rén de chǎn yè shàng cún liú tā de míng ， miǎn de tā de míng zài běn zú běn xiāng miè méi 。 nǐ men jīn rì kě yǐ zuò jiàn zhèng 。」

Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, I have purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses today.”

在城门坐着的众民和长老都说：「我们作见证。愿耶和华使进你家的这女子，像建立以色列家的拉结、利亚二人一样。又愿你在以法他得亨通，在伯利恒得名声。

zài chéng mén zuò zhe de zhòng mín hé zhǎng lǎo dōu shuō ：「 wǒ men zuò jiàn zhèng 。 yuàn yē hé huá shǐ jìn nǐ jiā de zhè nǚ zǐ ， xiàng jiàn lì yǐ sè liè jiā de lā jié 、 lì yà èr rén yí yàng 。 yòu yuàn nǐ zài yǐ fǎ tā dé hēng tōng ， zài bó lì héng dé míng shēng 。

All the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the LORD make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which both built the house of Israel; and treat you worthily in Ephrathah, and be famous in Bethlehem.

愿耶和华从这少年女子赐你后裔，使你的家像她玛从犹大所生法勒斯的家一般。」

yuàn yē hé huá cóng zhè shào nián nǚ zǐ cì nǐ hòu yì ， shǐ nǐ de jiā xiàng tā mǎ cóng yóu dà suǒ shēng fǎ lè sī de jiā yì bān 。」

Let your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, of the offspring which the LORD will give you by this young woman.”

于是，波阿斯娶了路得为妻，与她同房。耶和华使她怀孕生了一个儿子。

yú shì ， bō ā sī qǔ le lù dé wèi qī ， yǔ tā tóng fáng 。 yē hé huá shǐ tā huái yùn shēng le yí gè ér zi 。

So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and he went in to her, and the LORD enabled her to conceive, and she bore a son.

妇人们对拿俄米说：「耶和华是应当称颂的！因为今日没有撇下你，使你无至近的亲属。愿这孩子在以色列中得名声。

fù rén men duì ná é mǐ shuō ：「 yē hé huá shì yīng dāng chēng sòng de ！ yīn wèi jīn rì méi yǒu piě xià nǐ ， shǐ nǐ wú zhì jìn de qīn shǔ 。 yuàn zhè hái zi zài yǐ sè liè zhōng dé míng shēng 。

The women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you today without a near kinsman. Let his name be famous in Israel.

他必提起你的精神，奉养你的老，因为是爱慕你的那儿妇所生的。有这儿妇比有七个儿子还好！」

tā bì tí qǐ nǐ de jīng shén ， fèng yǎng nǐ de lǎo ， yīn wèi shì ài mù nǐ de nà ér fù suǒ shēng de 。 yǒu zhè ér fù bǐ yǒu qī gè ér zi hái hǎo ！」

He shall be to you a restorer of life and sustain you in your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”

拿俄米就把孩子抱在怀中，作他的养母。

ná é mǐ jiù bǎ hái zi bào zài huái zhōng ， zuò tā de yǎng mǔ 。

Naomi took the child, laid him in her bosom, and became nurse to him.

邻舍的妇人说：「拿俄米得孩子了！」就给孩子起名叫俄备得。这俄备得是耶西的父，耶西是大卫的父。

lín shè de fù rén shuō ：「 ná é mǐ dé hái zi le ！」 jiù gěi hái zi qǐ míng jiào é bèi dé 。 zhè é bèi dé shì yē xī de fù ， yē xī shì dà wèi de fù 。

The women, her neighbors, gave him a name, saying, “A son is born to Naomi”. They named him Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

法勒斯的后代记在下面：法勒斯生希斯 ；

fǎ lè sī de hòu dài jì zài xià miàn ： fǎ lè sī shēng xī sī ；

Now this is the history of the generations of Perez: Perez became the father of Hezron,

希斯 生兰；兰生亚米拿达；

xī sī shēng lán ； lán shēng yà mǐ ná dá ；

and Hezron became the father of Ram, and Ram became the father of Amminadab,

亚米拿达生拿顺；拿顺生撒门；

yà mǐ ná dá shēng ná shùn ； ná shùn shēng sā mén ；

and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon became the father of Salmon,

撒门生波阿斯；波阿斯生俄备得；

sā mén shēng bō ā sī ； bō ā sī shēng é bèi dé ；

and Salmon became the father of Boaz, and Boaz became the father of Obed,

俄备得生耶西；耶西生大卫。

é bèi dé shēng yē xī ； yē xī shēng dà wèi 。

and Obed became the father of Jesse, and Jesse became the father of David.
