lùn dào nǐ men xìn shàng suǒ tí de shì , wǒ shuō nán bú jìn nǚ dǎo hǎo 。

Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman.

dàn yào miǎn yín luàn de shì , nán zǐ dāng gè yǒu zì jǐ de qī zǐ ; nǚ zǐ yě dāng gè yǒu zì jǐ de zhàng fu 。

But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

zhàng fu dāng yòng hé yí zhī fēn dài qī zǐ ; qī zǐ dài zhàng fu yě yào rú cǐ 。

Let the husband give his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife her husband.

qī zǐ méi yǒu quán bǐng zhǔ zhāng zì jǐ de shēn zi , nǎi zài zhàng fu ; zhàng fu yě méi yǒu quán bǐng zhǔ zhāng zì jǐ de shēn zi , nǎi zài qī zǐ 。

The wife doesn’t have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise also the husband doesn’t have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

fū qī bù kě bǐ cǐ kuī fù , chú fēi liǎng xiāng qíng yuàn , zàn shí fēn fáng , wèi yào zhuān xīn dǎo gào fāng kě ; yǐ hòu réng yào tóng fáng , miǎn de sā dàn chèn zhe nǐ men qíng bú zì jīn , yǐn yòu nǐ men 。

Don’t deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn’t tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

wǒ shuō zhè huà , yuán shì zhǔn nǐ men de , bú shì mìng nǐ men de 。

But this I say by way of concession, not of commandment.

wǒ yuàn yì zhòng rén xiàng wǒ yí yàng ; zhǐ shì gè rén lǐng shòu shén de ēn cì , yí gè shì zhè yàng , yí gè shì nà yàng 。

Yet I wish that all men were like me. However, each man has his own gift from God, one of this kind, and another of that kind.

wǒ duì zhe méi yǒu jià qǔ de hé guǎ fù shuō , ruò tā men cháng xiàng wǒ jiù hǎo 。

But I say to the unmarried and to widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am.

tǎng ruò zì jǐ jìn zhǐ bú zhù , jiù kě yǐ jià qǔ 。 yǔ qí yù huǒ gōng xīn , dǎo bù rú jià qǔ wèi miào 。

But if they don’t have self-control, let them marry. For it’s better to marry than to burn with passion.

zhì yú nà yǐ jīng jià qǔ de , wǒ fēn fù tā men ; qí shí bú shì wǒ fēn fù , nǎi shì zhǔ fēn fù shuō : qī zǐ bù kě lí kāi zhàng fu ,

But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband

ruò shì lí kāi le , bù kě zài jià , huò shì réng tóng zhàng fu hé hǎo 。 zhàng fu yě bù kě lí qì qī zǐ 。

(but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife.

):

wǒ duì qí yú de rén shuō ( bú shì zhǔ shuō ): tǎng ruò mǒu dì xiong yǒu bú xìn de qī zǐ , qī zǐ yě qíng yuàn hé tā tóng zhù , tā jiù bú yào lí qì qī zǐ 。

But to the rest I—not the Lord—say, if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she is content to live with him, let him not leave her.

qī zǐ yǒu bú xìn de zhàng fu , zhàng fu yě qíng yuàn hé tā tóng zhù , tā jiù bú yào lí qì zhàng fu 。

The woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he is content to live with her, let her not leave her husband.

yīn wèi bú xìn de zhàng fu jiù yīn zhe qī zǐ chéng le shèng jié , bìng qiě bú xìn de qī zǐ jiù yīn zhe zhàng fu chéng le shèng jié 。 bù rán , nǐ men de ér nǚ jiù bù jié jìng , dàn rú jīn tā men shì shèng jié de le 。

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

tǎng ruò nà bú xìn de rén yào lí qù , jiù yóu tā lí qù ba ! wú lùn shì dì xiong , shì zǐ mèi , yù zhe zhè yàng de shì dōu bú bì jū shù 。 shén zhào wǒ men yuán shì yào wǒ men hé mù 。

Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace.

nǐ zhè zuò qī zǐ de , zěn me zhī dào bù néng jiù nǐ de zhàng fu ne ? nǐ zhè zuò zhàng fu de , zěn me zhī dào bù néng jiù nǐ de qī zǐ ne ?

For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

zhǐ yào zhào zhǔ suǒ fēn gěi gè rén de , hé shén suǒ zhào gè rén de ér xíng 。 wǒ fēn fù gè jiào huì dōu shì zhè yàng 。

Only, as the Lord has distributed to each man, as God has called each, so let him walk. So I command in all the assemblies.

yǒu rén yǐ shòu gē lǐ méng zhào ne , jiù bú yào fèi gē lǐ ; yǒu rén wèi shòu gē lǐ méng zhào ne , jiù bú yào shòu gē lǐ 。

Was anyone called having been circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised.

shòu gē lǐ suàn bù dé shén me , bú shòu gē lǐ yě suàn bù dé shén me , zhǐ yào shǒu shén de jiè mìng jiù shì le 。

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is keeping God’s commandments.

gè rén méng zhào de shí hòu shì shén me shēn fèn , réng yào shǒu zhù zhè shēn fèn 。

Let each man stay in that calling in which he was called.

nǐ shì zuò nú lì méng zhào de ma ? bú yào yīn cǐ yōu lǜ ; ruò néng yǐ zì yóu , jiù qiú zì yóu gèng hǎo 。

Were you called being a bondservant? Don’t let that bother you, but if you get an opportunity to become free, use it.

yīn wèi zuò nú pú méng zhào yú zhǔ de , jiù shì zhǔ suǒ shì fàng de rén ; zuò zì yóu zhī rén méng zhào de , jiù shì jī dū de nú pú 。

For he who was called in the Lord being a bondservant is the Lord’s free man. Likewise he who was called being free is Christ’s bondservant.

nǐ men shì zhòng jià mǎi lái de , bú yào zuò rén de nú pú 。

You were bought with a price. Don’t become bondservants of men.

dì xiong men , nǐ men gè rén méng zhào de shí hòu shì shén me shēn fèn , réng yào zài shén miàn qián shǒu zhù zhè shēn fèn 。

Brothers, let each man, in whatever condition he was called, stay in that condition with God.

lùn dào tóng shēn de rén , wǒ méi yǒu zhǔ de mìng lìng , dàn wǒ jì méng zhǔ lián xù néng zuò zhōng xīn de rén , jiù bǎ zì jǐ de yì jiàn gào sù nǐ men 。

Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment from the Lord, but I give my judgment as one who has obtained mercy from the Lord to be trustworthy.

yīn xiàn jīn de jiān nán , jù wǒ kàn lái , rén bù rú shǒu sù ān cháng cái hǎo 。

Therefore I think that because of the distress that is on us, it’s good for a man to remain as he is.

nǐ yǒu qī zǐ chán zhe ne , jiù bú yāo qiú tuō lí ; nǐ méi yǒu qī zǐ chán zhe ne , jiù bú yāo qiú qī zǐ 。

Are you bound to a wife? Don’t seek to be freed. Are you free from a wife? Don’t seek a wife.

nǐ ruò qǔ qī , bìng bú shì fàn zuì ; chǔ nǚ ruò chū jià , yě bú shì fàn zuì 。 rán ér zhè děng rén ròu shēn bì shòu kǔ nàn , wǒ què yuàn yì nǐ men miǎn zhè kǔ nàn 。

But if you marry, you have not sinned. If a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet such will have oppression in the flesh, and I want to spare you.

dì xiong men , wǒ duì nǐ men shuō : shí hòu jiǎn shǎo le 。 cóng cǐ yǐ hòu , nà yǒu qī zǐ de , yào xiàng méi yǒu qī zǐ ;

But I say this, brothers: the time is short. From now on, both those who have wives may be as though they had none;

āi kū de , yào xiàng bù āi kū ; kuài lè de , yào xiàng bú kuài lè ; zhì mǎi de , yào xiàng wú yǒu suǒ dé ;

and those who weep, as though they didn’t weep; and those who rejoice, as though they didn’t rejoice; and those who buy, as though they didn’t possess;

yòng shì wù de , yào xiàng bú yòng shì wù , yīn wèi zhè shì jiè de yàng zi jiāng yào guò qù le 。

and those who use the world, as not using it to the fullest. For the mode of this world passes away.

wǒ yuàn nǐ men wú suǒ guà lǜ 。 méi yǒu qǔ qī de , shì wéi zhǔ de shì guà lǜ , xiǎng zěn yàng jiào zhǔ xǐ yuè 。

But I desire to have you to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord;

qǔ le qī de , shì wèi shì shàng de shì guà lǜ , xiǎng zěn yàng jiào qī zǐ xǐ yuè 。

but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife.

fù rén hé chǔ nǚ yě yǒu fēn bié 。 méi yǒu chū jià de , shì wéi zhǔ de shì guà lǜ , yào shēn tǐ 、 líng hún dōu shèng jié ; yǐ jīng chū jià de , shì wèi shì shàng de shì guà lǜ , xiǎng zěn yàng jiào zhàng fu xǐ yuè 。

There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband.

wǒ shuō zhè huà shì wèi nǐ men de yì chù , bú shì yào láo lóng nǐ men , nǎi shì yào jiào nǐ men xíng hé yí de shì , dé yǐ yīn qín fú shì zhǔ , méi yǒu fēn xīn de shì 。

This I say for your own benefit, not that I may ensnare you, but for that which is appropriate, and that you may attend to the Lord without distraction.

ruò yǒu rén yǐ wèi zì jǐ dài tā de nǚ ér bù hé yí , nǚ ér yě guò le nián suì , shì yòu dāng xíng , tā jiù kě suí yì bàn lǐ , bú suàn yǒu zuì , jiào èr rén chéng qīn jiù shì le 。

But if any man thinks that he is behaving inappropriately toward his virgin, if she is past the flower of her age, and if need so requires, let him do what he desires. He doesn’t sin. Let them marry.

tǎng ruò rén xīn lǐ jiān dìng , méi yǒu bù dé yǐ de shì , bìng qiě yóu dé zì jǐ zuò zhǔ , xīn lǐ yòu jué dìng le liú xià nǚ ér bù chū jià , rú cǐ xíng yě hǎo 。

But he who stands steadfast in his heart, having no urgency, but has power over his own will, and has determined in his own heart to keep his own virgin, does well.

zhè yàng kàn lái , jiào zì jǐ de nǚ ér chū jià shì hǎo , bú jiào tā chū jià gèng shì hǎo 。

So then both he who gives his own virgin in marriage does well, and he who doesn’t give her in marriage does better.

zhàng fu huó zhe de shí hòu , qī zǐ shì bèi yuē shù de ; zhàng fu ruò sǐ le , qī zǐ jiù kě yǐ zì yóu , suí yì zài jià , zhǐ shì yào jià zhè zài zhǔ lǐ miàn de rén 。

A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord.

rán ér àn wǒ de yì jiàn , ruò cháng shǒu jié gèng yǒu fú qì 。 wǒ yě xiǎng zì jǐ shì bèi shén de líng gǎn dòng le 。

But she is happier if she stays as she is, in my judgment, and I think that I also have God’s Spirit.
