所罗门与埃及王法老结亲，娶了法老的女儿为妻，接她进入大卫城，直等到造完了自己的宫和耶和华的殿，并耶路撒冷周围的城墙。

suǒ luó mén yǔ āi jí wáng fǎ lǎo jié qīn ， qǔ le fǎ lǎo de nǚ ér wèi qī ， jiē tā jìn rù dà wèi chéng ， zhí děng dào zào wán le zì jǐ de gōng hé yē hé huá de diàn ， bìng yē lù sā lěng zhōu wéi de chéng qiáng 。

Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt. He took Pharaoh’s daughter and brought her into David’s city until he had finished building his own house, the LORD’s house, and the wall around Jerusalem.

当那些日子，百姓仍在邱坛献祭，因为还没有为耶和华的名建殿。

dāng nà xiē rì zǐ ， bǎi xìng réng zài qiū tán xiàn jì ， yīn wèi hái méi yǒu wèi yē hé huá de míng jiàn diàn 。

However, the people sacrificed in the high places, because there was not yet a house built for the LORD’s name.

所罗门爱耶和华，遵行他父亲大卫的律例，只是还在邱坛献祭烧香。

suǒ luó mén ài yē hé huá ， zūn xíng tā fù qīn dà wèi de lǜ lì ， zhǐ shì hái zài qiū tán xiàn jì shāo xiāng 。

Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father, except that he sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.

所罗门王上基遍去献祭；因为在那里有极大 的邱坛，他在那坛上献一千牺牲作燔祭。

suǒ luó mén wáng shàng jī biàn qù xiàn jì ； yīn wèi zài nà lǐ yǒu jí dà de qiū tán ， tā zài nà tán shàng xiàn yì qiān xī shēng zuò fán jì 。

The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.

在基遍，夜间梦中，耶和华向所罗门显现，对他说：「你愿我赐你什么？你可以求。」

zài jī biàn ， yè jiān mèng zhōng ， yē hé huá xiàng suǒ luó mén xiǎn xiàn ， duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ yuàn wǒ cì nǐ shén me ？ nǐ kě yǐ qiú 。」

In Gibeon, the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask for what I should give you.”

所罗门说：「你仆人—我父亲大卫用诚实、公义、正直的心行在你面前，你就向他大施恩典，又为他存留大恩，赐他一个儿子坐在他的位上，正如今日一样。

suǒ luó mén shuō ：「 nǐ pú rén — wǒ fù qīn dà wèi yòng chéng shí 、 gōng yì 、 zhèng zhí de xīn xíng zài nǐ miàn qián ， nǐ jiù xiàng tā dà shī ēn diǎn ， yòu wèi tā cún liú dà ēn ， cì tā yí gè ér zi zuò zài tā de wèi shàng ， zhèng rú jīn rì yí yàng 。

Solomon said, “You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, because he walked before you in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

耶和华—我的 神啊，如今你使仆人接续我父亲大卫作王；但我是幼童，不知道应当怎样出入。

yē hé huá — wǒ de shén a ， rú jīn nǐ shǐ pú rén jiē xù wǒ fù qīn dà wèi zuò wáng ； dàn wǒ shì yòu tóng ， bù zhī dào yīng dāng zěn yàng chū rù 。

Now, LORD my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father. I am just a little child. I don’t know how to go out or come in.

仆人住在你所拣选的民中，这民多得不可胜数。

pú rén zhù zài nǐ suǒ jiǎn xuǎn de mín zhōng ， zhè mín duō dé bù kě shèng shǔ 。

Your servant is among your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can’t be numbered or counted for multitude.

所以求你赐我智慧，可以判断你的民，能辨别是非。不然，谁能判断这众多的民呢？」

suǒ yǐ qiú nǐ cì wǒ zhì huì ， kě yǐ pàn duàn nǐ de mín ， néng biàn bié shì fēi 。 bù rán ， shuí néng pàn duàn zhè zhòng duō de mín ne ？」

Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?”

所罗门因为求这事，就蒙主喜悦。

suǒ luó mén yīn wèi qiú zhè shì ， jiù méng zhǔ xǐ yuè 。

This request pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

神对他说：「你既然求这事，不为自己求寿、求富，也不求灭绝你仇敌的性命，单求智慧可以听讼，

shén duì tā shuō ：「 nǐ jì rán qiú zhè shì ， bú wèi zì jǐ qiú shòu 、 qiú fù ， yě bù qiú miè jué nǐ chóu dí de xìng mìng ， dān qiú zhì huì kě yǐ tīng sòng ，

God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have you asked for riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,

我就应允你所求的，赐你聪明智慧，甚至在你以前没有像你的，在你以后也没有像你的。

wǒ jiù yīng yǔn nǐ suǒ qiú de ， cì nǐ cōng ming zhì huì ， shèn zhì zài nǐ yǐ qián méi yǒu xiàng nǐ de ， zài nǐ yǐ hòu yě méi yǒu xiàng nǐ de 。

behold, I have done according to your word. Behold, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, and after you none will arise like you.

你所没有求的，我也赐给你，就是富足、尊荣，使你在世的日子，列王中没有一个能比你的。

nǐ suǒ méi yǒu qiú de ， wǒ yě cì gěi nǐ ， jiù shì fù zú 、 zūn róng ， shǐ nǐ zài shì de rì zi ， liè wáng zhōng méi yǒu yí gè néng bǐ nǐ de 。

I have also given you that which you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you for all your days.

你若效法你父亲大卫，遵行我的道，谨守我的律例、诫命，我必使你长寿。」

nǐ ruò xiào fǎ nǐ fù qīn dà wèi ， zūn xíng wǒ de dào ， jǐn shǒu wǒ de lǜ lì 、 jiè mìng ， wǒ bì shǐ nǐ cháng shòu 。」

If you will walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

所罗门醒了，不料是个梦。他就回到耶路撒冷，站在耶和华的约柜前，献燔祭和平安祭，又为他众臣仆设摆筵席。

suǒ luó mén xǐng le ， bú liào shì gè mèng 。 tā jiù huí dào yē lù sā lěng ， zhàn zài yē hé huá de yuē guì qián ， xiàn fán jì hé píng ān jì ， yòu wèi tā zhòng chén pú shè bǎi yán xí 。

Solomon awoke; and behold, it was a dream. Then he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the LORD’s covenant, and offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.

一日，有两个妓女来，站在王面前。

yí rì ， yǒu liǎng gè jì nǚ lái ， zhàn zài wáng miàn qián 。

Then two women who were prostitutes came to the king, and stood before him.

一个说：「我主啊，我和这妇人同住一房；她在房中的时候，我生了一个男孩。

yí gè shuō ：「 wǒ zhǔ a ， wǒ hé zhè fù rén tóng zhù yì fáng ； tā zài fáng zhōng de shí hòu ， wǒ shēng le yí gè nán hái 。

The one woman said, “Oh, my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house. I delivered a child with her in the house.

我生孩子后第三日，这妇人也生了孩子。我们是同住的，除了我们二人之外，房中再没有别人。

wǒ shēng hái zi hòu dì sān rì ， zhè fù rén yě shēng le hái zi 。 wǒ men shì tóng zhù de ， chú le wǒ men èr rén zhī wài ， fáng zhōng zài méi yǒu bié rén 。

The third day after I delivered, this woman delivered also. We were together. There was no stranger with us in the house, just us two in the house.

夜间，这妇人睡着的时候，压死了她的孩子。

yè jiān ， zhè fù rén shuì zháo de shí hòu ， yā sǐ le tā de hái zi 。

This woman’s child died in the night, because she lay on it.

她半夜起来，趁我睡着，从我旁边把我的孩子抱去，放在她怀里，将她的死孩子放在我怀里。

tā bàn yè qǐ lái ， chèn wǒ shuì zháo ， cóng wǒ páng biān bǎ wǒ de hái zi bào qù ， fàng zài tā huái lǐ ， jiāng tā de sǐ hái zi fàng zài wǒ huái lǐ 。

She arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me while your servant slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

天要亮的时候，我起来要给我的孩子吃奶，不料，孩子死了；及至天亮，我细细地察看，不是我所生的孩子。」

tiān yào liàng de shí hòu ， wǒ qǐ lái yào gěi wǒ de hái zi chī nǎi ， bú liào ， hái zǐ sǐ le ； jí zhì tiān liàng ， wǒ xì xì dì chá kàn ， bú shì wǒ suǒ shēng de hái zi 。」

When I rose in the morning to nurse my child, behold, he was dead; but when I had looked at him in the morning, behold, it was not my son whom I bore.”

那妇人说：「不然，活孩子是我的，死孩子是你的。」这妇人说：「不然，死孩子是你的，活孩子是我的。」她们在王面前如此争论。

nà fù rén shuō ：「 bù rán ， huó hái zi shì wǒ de ， sǐ hái zi shì nǐ de 。」 zhè fù rén shuō ：「 bù rán ， sǐ hái zi shì nǐ de ， huó hái zi shì wǒ de 。」 tā men zài wáng miàn qián rú cǐ zhēng lùn 。

The other woman said, “No! But the living one is my son, and the dead one is your son.” The first one said, “No! But the dead one is your son, and the living one is my son.” They argued like this before the king.

王说：「这妇人说『活孩子是我的，死孩子是你的』，那妇人说『不然，死孩子是你的，活孩子是我的』」，

wáng shuō ：「 zhè fù rén shuō 『 huó hái zi shì wǒ de ， sǐ hái zi shì nǐ de 』， nà fù rén shuō 『 bù rán ， sǐ hái zi shì nǐ de ， huó hái zi shì wǒ de 』」，

Then the king said, “One says, ‘This is my son who lives, and your son is the dead one;’ and the other says, ‘No! But your son is the dead one, and my son is the living one.’”

就吩咐说：「拿刀来！」人就拿刀来。

jiù fēn fù shuō ：「 ná dāo lái ！」 rén jiù ná dāo lái 。

The king said, “Get me a sword.” So they brought a sword before the king.

王说：「将活孩子劈成两半，一半给那妇人，一半给这妇人。」

wáng shuō ：「 jiāng huó hái zi pī chéng liǎng bàn ， yí bàn gěi nà fù rén ， yí bàn gěi zhè fù rén 。」

The king said, “Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.”

活孩子的母亲为自己的孩子心里急痛，就说：「求我主将活孩子给那妇人吧，万不可杀他！」那妇人说：「这孩子也不归我，也不归你，把他劈了吧！」

huó hái zi de mǔ qīn wèi zì jǐ de hái zi xīn lǐ jí tòng ， jiù shuō ：「 qiú wǒ zhǔ jiàng huó hái zi gěi nà fù rén ba ， wàn bù kě shā tā ！」 nà fù rén shuō ：「 zhè hái zi yě bù guī wǒ ， yě bù guī nǐ ， bǎ tā pī le ba ！」

Then the woman whose the living child was spoke to the king, for her heart yearned over her son, and she said, “Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and in no way kill him!” But the other said, “He shall be neither mine nor yours. Divide him.”

王说：「将活孩子给这妇人，万不可杀他；这妇人实在是他的母亲。」

wáng shuō ：「 jiāng huó hái zǐ gěi zhè fù rén ， wàn bù kě shā tā ； zhè fù rén shí zài shì tā de mǔ qīn 。」

Then the king answered, “Give the first woman the living child, and definitely do not kill him. She is his mother.”

以色列众人听见王这样判断，就都敬畏他；因为见他心里有 神的智慧，能以断案。

yǐ sè liè zhòng rén tīng jiàn wáng zhè yàng pàn duàn ， jiù dōu jìng wèi tā ； yīn wèi jiàn tā xīn lǐ yǒu shén de zhì huì ， néng yǐ duàn àn 。

All Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.
