yē hé huá chāi qiǎn ná dān qù jiàn dà wèi 。 ná dān dào le dà wèi nà lǐ , duì tā shuō :「 zài yí zuò chéng lǐ yǒu liǎng gè rén : yí gè shì fù hù , yí gè shì qióng rén 。

The LORD sent Nathan to David. He came to him, and said to him, “There were two men in one city: the one rich, and the other poor.

fù hù yǒu xǔ duō niú qún yáng qún ;

The rich man had very many flocks and herds,

怀

qióng rén chú le suǒ mǎi lái yǎng huó de yì zhī xiǎo mǔ yáng gāo zhī wài , bié wú suǒ yǒu 。 yáng gāo zài tā jiā lǐ hé tā ér nǚ yì tóng zhǎng dà , chī tā suǒ chī de , hē tā suǒ hē de , shuì zài tā huái zhōng , zài tā kàn lái rú tóng nǚ ér yí yàng 。

but the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and raised. It grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food, drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was like a daughter to him.

。」

yǒu yí kè rén lái dào zhè fù hù jiā lǐ ; fù hù shè bù dé cóng zì jǐ de niú qún yáng qún zhōng qǔ yì zhī yù bèi gěi kè rén chī , què qǔ le nà qióng rén de yáng gāo , yù bèi gěi kè rén chī 。」

A traveler came to the rich man, and he didn’t want to take of his own flock and of his own herd to prepare for the wayfaring man who had come to him, but took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”

:「

dà wèi jiù shèn nǎo nù nà rén , duì ná dān shuō :「 wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒng shēng de yē hé huá qǐ shì , xíng zhè shì de rén gāi sǐ !

David’s anger burned hot against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this deserves to die!

。」

tā bì cháng huán yáng gāo sì bèi ; yīn wèi tā xíng zhè shì , méi yǒu lián xù de xīn 。」

He must restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and because he had no pity!”

:「 :『

ná dān duì dà wèi shuō :「 nǐ jiù shì nà rén ! yē hé huá — yǐ sè liè de shén rú cǐ shuō :『 wǒ gāo nǐ zuò yǐ sè liè de wáng , jiù nǐ tuō lí sǎo luó de shǒu 。

Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

怀

wǒ jiāng nǐ zhǔ rén de jiā yè cì gěi nǐ , jiāng nǐ zhǔ rén de qī jiāo zài nǐ huái lǐ , yòu jiāng yǐ sè liè hé yóu dà jiā cì gěi nǐ ; nǐ ruò hái yǐ wéi bù zú , wǒ zǎo jiù jiā bèi dì cì gěi nǐ 。

I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that would have been too little, I would have added to you many more such things.

nǐ wèi shén me miǎo shì yē hé huá de mìng lìng , xíng tā yǎn zhōng kàn wèi è de shì ne ? nǐ jiè yà mén rén de dāo shā hài hè rén wū lì yà , yòu qǔ le tā de qī wèi qī 。

Why have you despised the LORD’s word, to do that which is evil in his sight? You have struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

。』

nǐ jì miǎo shì wǒ , qǔ le hè rén wū lì yà de qī wèi qī , suǒ yǐ dāo jiàn bì yǒng bù lí kāi nǐ de jiā 。』

Now therefore the sword will never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken Uriah the Hittite’s wife to be your wife.’

:『

yē hé huá rú cǐ shuō :『 wǒ bì cóng nǐ jiā zhōng xīng qǐ huò huàn gōng jī nǐ ; wǒ bì zài nǐ yǎn qián bǎ nǐ de fēi pín cì gěi bié rén , tā zài rì guāng zhī xià jiù yǔ tā men tóng qǐn 。

“This is what the LORD says: ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

。』」

nǐ zài àn zhōng háng zhè shì , wǒ què yào zài yǐ sè liè zhòng rén miàn qián , rì guāng zhī xià , bào yìng nǐ 。』」

For you did this secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.’”

dà wèi duì ná dān shuō :「 wǒ dé zuì yē hé huá le !」 ná dān shuō :「 yē hé huá yǐ jīng chú diào nǐ de zuì , nǐ bì bú zhì yú sǐ 。

David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has put away your sin. You will not die.

。」

zhǐ shì nǐ xíng zhè shì , jiào yē hé huá de chóu dí dà dé xiè dú de jī huì , gù cǐ , nǐ suǒ dé de hái zi bì dìng yào sǐ 。」

However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the LORD’s enemies to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you will surely die.”

使

ná dān jiù huí jiā qù le 。 dà wèi de ér zi yāo zhé yē hé huá jī dǎ wū lì yà qī gěi dà wèi suǒ shēng de hái zi , shǐ tā dé zhòng bìng 。

Then Nathan departed to his house. The LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and he was very sick.

suǒ yǐ dà wèi wèi zhè hái zi kěn qiú shén , ér qiě jìn shí , jìn rù nèi shì , zhōng yè tǎng zài dì shàng 。

David therefore begged God for the child; and David fasted, and went in and lay all night on the ground.

tā jiā zhōng de lǎo chén lái dào tā páng biān , yào bǎ tā cóng dì shàng fú qǐ lái , tā què bù kěn qǐ lái , yě bù tóng tā men chī fàn 。

The elders of his house arose beside him, to raise him up from the earth; but he would not, and he didn’t eat bread with them.

dào dì qī rì , hái zi sǐ le 。 dà wèi de chén pú bù gǎn gào sù tā hái zi sǐ le , yīn tā men shuō :「 hái zi hái huó zhe de shí hòu , wǒ men quàn tā , tā shàng qiě bù kěn tīng wǒ men de huà , ruò gào sù tā hái zi sǐ le , qǐ bú gèng jiā yōu shāng ma ?」

On the seventh day, the child died. David’s servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, “Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him and he didn’t listen to our voice. How will he then harm himself if we tell him that the child is dead?”

dà wèi jiàn chén pú bǐ cǐ dī shēng shuō huà , jiù zhī dào hái zǐ sǐ le , wèn chén pú shuō :「 hái zi sǐ le ma ?」 tā men shuō :「 sǐ le 。」

But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David perceived that the child was dead; and David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” They said, “He is dead.”

殿便

dà wèi jiù cóng dì shàng qǐ lái , mù yù , mǒ gāo , huàn le yī shang , jìn yē hé huá de diàn jìng bài ; rán hòu huí gōng , fēn fù rén bǎi fàn , tā biàn chī le 。

Then David arose from the earth, and washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothing; and he came into the LORD’s house, and worshiped. Then he came to his own house; and when he requested, they set bread before him and he ate.

chén pú wèn tā shuō :「 nǐ suǒ xíng de shì shén me yì sī ? hái zǐ huó zhe de shí hòu , nǐ jìn shí kū qì ; hái zi sǐ le , nǐ dǎo qǐ lái chī fàn 。」

Then his servants said to him, “What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child was dead, you rose up and ate bread.”

:「使

dà wèi shuō :「 hái zi hái huó zhe , wǒ jìn shí kū qì ; yīn wèi wǒ xiǎng , huò zhě yē hé huá lián xù wǒ , shǐ hái zi bù sǐ yě wèi kě zhī 。

He said, “While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who knows whether the LORD will not be gracious to me, that the child may live?’

使。」

hái zi sǐ le , wǒ hé bì jìn shí , wǒ qǐ néng shǐ tā fǎn huí ne ? wǒ bì wǎng tā nà lǐ qù , tā què bù néng huí wǒ zhè lǐ lái 。」

But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”

dà wèi ān wèi tā de qī bá shì bā , yǔ tā tóng qǐn , tā jiù shēng le ér zi , gěi tā qǐ míng jiào suǒ luó mén 。 yē hé huá yě xǐ ài tā ,

David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her, and lay with her. She bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. The LORD loved him;

jiù jiè xiān zhī ná dān cì tā yí gè míng zì , jiào yē dǐ dǐ yà , yīn wèi yē hé huá ài tā 。

and he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet, and he named him Jedidiah, for the LORD’s sake.

yuē yā gōng qǔ yà mén rén de jīng chéng lā bā 。

Now Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.

使:「

yuē yā dǎ fā shǐ zhě qù jiàn dà wèi , shuō :「 wǒ gōng dǎ lā bā , qǔ qí shuǐ chéng 。

Joab sent messengers to David, and said, “I have fought against Rabbah. Yes, I have taken the city of waters.

xiàn zài nǐ yào jù jí qí yú de jūn bīng lái , ān yíng wéi gōng zhè chéng , kǒng pà wǒ qǔ le zhè chéng , rén jiù yǐ wǒ de míng jiào zhè chéng 。」

Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city and take it; lest I take the city, and it be called by my name.”

yú shì dà wèi jù jí zhòng jūn , wǎng lā bā qù gōng chéng , jiù qǔ le zhè chéng ,

David gathered all the people together and went to Rabbah, and fought against it and took it.

duó le yà mén rén zhī wáng suǒ dài de jīn guān miǎn , qí shàng de jīn zǐ zhòng yì tā lián dé , yòu qiàn zhe bǎo shí 。 rén jiāng zhè guān miǎn dài zài dà wèi tóu shàng 。 dà wèi cóng chéng lǐ duó le xǔ duō cái wù ,

He took the crown of their king from off his head; and its weight was a talent of gold, and in it were precious stones; and it was set on David’s head. He brought a great quantity of plunder out of the city.

jiāng chéng lǐ de rén lā chū lái , fàng zài jù xià , huò tiě pá xià , huò tiě fǔ xià , huò jiào tā jīng guò zhuān yáo ; dà wèi dài yà mén gè chéng de jū mín dōu shì rú cǐ 。 qí hòu , dà wèi hé zhòng jūn dōu huí yē lù sā lěng qù le 。

He brought out the people who were in it, and put them to work under saws, under iron picks, under axes of iron, and made them go to the brick kiln; and he did so to all the cities of the children of Ammon. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
